I feel bad for the employee to be honest. Maybe it's their first job in the industry and for all we know their job was to work on the title screen or audio effect's. Regardless this could all have been avoided with just a little oversight from management.

@TakeItEasy Xbox is game pass now, they are not into hardware sales unless we count controllers.

Now I agree their 1st party output is not up to the quality of Sony/Nintendo. They have studios,IP and the money but lack the leadership and experience in the game development area. Might just be a western studios thing ?

Untill MS makes some changes to game development this will continue to be a problem. Phil has done so many good things for Xbox but he has got to see there is something wrong. They need somebody with actual game making experience over seeing these studios. No way does Miyamoto, Cerny or Tetsuya Takahashi let games go gold in this state.

TOTK will be contender for GOTY. Proving "again" 12 terra flops means little if you have no clue how to use it.

I'm sure Starfield will be great once the PC community gets a hold of it and removes drm and fixes most of the Jank 🙃.

@JON22 Sold mine for $450.00 with a couple games. Thankfully MS don't have any available so it sold pretty quick. Got a few months of PC gamepass because that is what MS wants anyway lol

Why do people think Sega might be for sale ? Sega is as strong now as they were in the MD days. At this point I have more faith in a Dreamcast 2 than I do another Xbox console generation.

At this point the Xbox division is being run like mid 90s Sega without the great games lol

Still seeing a series X in stores is rare around here but I just dont think MS cares about console sales TBH. GP subs is what they want and the console model is just a tool they half heartedly put out there.

For sure Nintendo had 3rd party developers by the short hairs. What turned it around for Sega was compelling software and slick advertising. Those things will help Xbox now

All this reminds me of the Sega conversations back in the day. It was never about the hardware....Sega just didn't have the compelling software and the same can be said of Xbox.

Now Xbox has much deeper pockets and more studio's but I cannot name one team/developer and think yeah..... That is going to be awesome ! Love Arcane but yeah. Bethesda ? maybe in 6 months or so it will run properly. Tango ? Well Hifi was spectacular so their pointing in the right direction and Ghost Wire happens. 343 ? Moving on to Ninja Theory, boy Im hopeful for 2 in a row.

Has anyone else noticed almost all Xbox games being made are 1st person rpg/shooters ? Wonder why most of Sony/Nintendo popular Ip are all 3rd person adventure/platformer/rpg ?

Shew i dont know. Underpowered or not Nintendo has had a fantastic generation and 7yrs in continue to just release hit after hit. The Indy scene is big and despite every YouTuber on the earth trying to wish a switch 2 into existence the console continues to sale very well.

That said I think we have finally hit a point where is it really viable for the Sony model of Movie games ? Is that the kind of return sony investors are looking for

@Dezzy70 I felt the same way but I just dont think they have what it takes to cut the mustard. Have PC game pass and that is a good service along with steam I get most if not all AAA games I am interested in.

Maybe this just means one step closer to getting game pass on switch 2 🙏 in 2025

@NEStalgia Haha yeah I agree far as Cerny making games anymore but he does have a deep understanding of game development that goes all the way back to my beloved Sega 💘. That experience is something that MS lacks and needs.

I agree with everything about Xbox being a vessel to their services but if the games suck it just wont matter and they will continue down the path of being irrelevant especially on the console (hardware) front.

Maybe the next Xbox acquisition should be to hire somebody who understands game development ? Phil is a great PR/hype man and I have zero clue what Matt Booty does but they clearly need a Iwata,Miyamato,Cerny type person to watch these game studios.

@Dezzy70 Yeah the best game that's a xbox exclusive is HiFi Rush from Tango and its a banger !

Every other title has something missing, poor performance or just missing lol. I've been with xbox since day one and I don't care how you spin it this is a bad look.

That said, I'm not sure ms cares about console sales at this point.

@NEStalgia yes Zelda will be awesome and probably GOTY. To be a great game one doesn't need "the most powerful console" or 12 Terraflops lol.

Xbox is run like most western developed games. Hype, Hype some more then talk about a bunch of stuff that wont be in the game at launch.

My hope is the next Halo game takes place away from Master Chief. Different part of the wars, different characters or just a different style of game.

I was on the "delay it" band wagon but have come to the realization this game has had such bad publicity, poor release date and performance issues might as well release it. Let it die already lol.

@NEStalgia That is what makes Nintendo games feel special. Can actually feel/see the developers vision in the games. Xenoblade, mario, zelda etc. No everybody won't love them but there is no question they come from a good place.

I remember seeing the 3do when I picked up the Sega CD back in the day . It gave me hundreds of hours of games but I still remember seeing Road Rash on 3do and couldn't wait to play it when I got a Saturn. Good times 4 sure lol

@Baler Its a fantastic machine to play old games lol. But yeah it's hard to recommend when a 500 dollar pc would give you a better gaming experience and you still get 1st party games.

The 2d-hd and pixel remasters are the only square games that interest me and at this point I wouldn't play ff16 if it was gave to me lol.

Mercenaries Saga on Switch cause i needed a old school Trpg fix and now 40hrs later loving its simplicity lol.

Took a break last night and started up Batman Arkham Origins on the X360. Never played it before but not gonna lie, I'm a fan so far.

It still holds up to this day, a masterpiece in art and game design.
