I found the show to be highly enjoyable, a significant improvement over last year's VGA. It progressed swiftly and valued the viewer's time. There were some impressive games showcased, such as Cuffbust, Once Human, Cairn, Metaphor, the new Lego game, and Warhammer Space Marine 2, all of which looked fantastic. However, the highlight for me was Nightdive Studios' remaster of The Thing. I can't think of a more suitable studio to bring a horror classic to contemporary platforms.
@NEStalgia I'm ahead of the curve with my CPU for probably another year maybe two, but GPU will likely need an upgrade around the time Gears 6 is released.
I've been considering the Intel GPUs, but the drivers currently have issues with older games. Additionally, they require a small nuclear reactor to power them.
@NEStalgia Nah I'm operating an old PC from 2020. If I were to build a new one from scratch, I would likely opt for an AMD CPU for better price to performance. Just always been an Intel user lol I7/10700 3060 12gb 32gb 3200mhz ram
It looks amazing, but it's not the best fit for me. I still favor stylized graphics over ultra-realistic ones. It's impressive technology that's visible and audible, and I'm truly enjoying that. I'm also eager for a modern release that works seamlessly on both console and PC right from the start.
I really enjoyed it but of course Phil ruined the experience. No Physical version and I won't purchase things I cannot hold. Will play it eventually when Xbox has a few games to rent for $10.00. Maybe somebody will do a physical in the future.
Gaming on the Switch is quite robust, offering a plethora of third-party games throughout the year. It's likely that Nintendo will showcase a game or two for the fall season, and there's genuine excitement for their presentation in June.
Seriously ? How Ironic on the day Nintendo acknowledges the Switch successor Xbox closes 4 studios. It would have been best if they shuttered the Xbox division at this point.
@NEStalgia Indeed, the introduction of X86 architecture to the latest generation of consoles marked a significant shift away from traditional console gaming. This move was intended to simplify game development, but it's unclear what became of that promise. Perhaps it was overshadowed by the industry's focus on releasing remakes and remasters of older games, or maybe it was lost amidst other pressing demands.
@NEStalgia Many developers, aside from Nintendo, Namco, and Sega, appear focused on advancing the latest and most advanced technology, despite knowing that less than 10% of the market can afford it. This approach often caters only to the most hardcore PC enthusiasts who are indifferent to the steep prices, resulting in a subpar experience for the majority. Consequently, they are perplexed when their games do not sell 20 million copies on the launch weekend. They are so engrossed in their "art studios," playing with the cutting-edge technology just because it exists, that they fail to recognize their actual market. Consequently, I am decidedly against purchasing any Xbox or Playstation hardware in the future, with the possible exception of a controller. Why waste the money ?
WTF moment of the week goes to Ninja Theory and Hellblade 2. I've enjoyed every Ninja Theory game so far and am excited to put on some headphones for Senua's next journey—I'm definitely a fan. Moving on, Ninja Theory tweeted, "Our game camera is anamorphic with a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, which means there will be letter-boxing on the average display." So, it appears I need to buy the game, supply the internet connection, wait for patches to fix issues, and even get a new monitor for the proper display experience.
Nothing to see here folks, anybody notice it's just MS consoles that are not selling. Xbox has just not been a very attractive brand for a decade plus for the majority of people.
This is so laughable. Guess we just pretend the Xbox360,Xone generations never happened ? Internet gamers just hate games.
I will be playing this day one in all it's 30fps, UE5, Nanite, Lumen, FSR, Raytraced, templar upscaling, reflective nose hairs, uber immersive gameplay and all the other big words users of this page said they demanded to have. Well here you go lmao
@AlienigenX Here here. Been playing some truly fantastic games that have received translation patches on SNES and PC Engine. True next gen experiences lol
It is only a problem on the internet. Xbox spent the last 10-12 years not having any games beside Halo,Gears and Forza. A more powerful console will not change that perception. Just my opinion but they should continue focusing on GOOD games, experiences and stop trying to out PC the PC market. It is a losing business plan for consoles.
I have dipped many times over the year but I draw the line with Resident Evil. I have bought every new, re-release or remaster for the Dreamcast, Gamecube, Wii and Xbox 360, Xone. At this point I believe Capcom owes me copies RE1,2,3 and 4
Day one purchase for a Code Veronica re-make or whatever will be the next version of the game.
@HonestHick Physical media is dead on Xbox and they helped kill it plain and simple. That is what they wanted in 2013 and nothing changed. Say what you will about Sony or Nintendo almost all of their games are shipped complete and ready to be played day 1 without a patch of 50gb because they simply chose to use a 25gb disc.
@Savage_Joe I expect the disk drive version will get discontinued. Not too mention Xbox using 25gb and 50gb disks instead of 100gb or heaven help them if they use 2 discs. Just more bad looks from the bad looks company.

Re: Talking Point: Is Sarah Bond Hinting At Eventually Moving Away From Xbox Hardware?
Growth more growth and no growth. At this point the Xbox brand is an abscess on gaming 🤣.
Is there anyone left to believe anything Xbox suites have to say ?

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If The Next Xbox Was A Portable Console?
Possibly, if it implies that it's dockable, then I won't need to be tethered to a Tesla charging station to use it.
