If xbox were a person, they would bungiejump and forget the rope. Or basejump and forget the parachute. Its fascinating really how quick they took the small goodwill they build up and are now destroying that. I'm impressed, like whats next? You need a cloud subscription in order to use the console? You put a disc in and if you arent subscribed go gamepass it just doesnt read the disc? Backwards compatibility now tied to a subscription service? Exciting times.....

Oh look even more reasons to cancel. Only reason to keep atleast one tier is due to online requirements. Like if you play alot of multiplayer games then you need it. Otherwise they made sure to gut the service completely. Well done microsoft.

My series x has become a x360 machine. Lime seriously so many games I looked forwadd to got cancelled. I dont play much online on xbox and with this price hike its just the end of gamepass for me. .ost xbox games launch on pc aswell so I'll just get them there. So the inly thing left on series x are stuff like the skate series (great games) blue dragon and other 360 classics. Since upgrading my pc, console gaming has taken a backseat. So yeah. Many factors are at play here. As for the we listening quote: Listening is one part, acting on it is the other. I dont see Microsoft changing this decision. They are hellbent on turning xbox into a publisher and this tone deaf decision is yet another part of that.

In switzerland we never had the rewards programme so I always had to pay the full price of gamepass without loopholes. Now they just increased that price to unpayable. Yeah sure you give me more choice, but I still have to pay the full increased price. I still have to pay rent, insurance, general living cost like food and whatnot. I just cannot justify paying for a service that MIGHT give me a game I want which I then have to rush to completion because you never know when they leave the service......My subscription lapsed a while ago and I notice no downsight since I stopped playing multiplayer on console.

Man, the start of the sereis x era was slow and then slowly it picked up. I thought after the xbox one disaster Xbox would be hungry to bite back. Oh boy did they bite back. They bit back so hard they bit off their tongue and are now choking on it..... I'm wodnering just how bad things are gonna go now. Gamepass at 50 bucks in 2 years time? Hell yeah baby... I'm gonna be focusing on pc and upgrading my pc when and if it becomes necessary. Shame really, after it looked great for a moment. Getting priced out of a hobby is what hurts the most......

So I caved and got the premium edition. Got past the demo part and into the first village.....Holy moly the atmosphere is something else. The way the aftermath of war is portrayed is incredible. There were a few moments just in the first village were I went wow, this is, holy sh... If it keeps this up It's gonna end up as a truly special experience. Though it's definitely not for everyone

@Odium yeah I finished the demo and liked it. But on the other hand there were demos that I loved while disliking the endproduct. (Either due too bugs or the way to short length etc)

Man if UE 5 really is to become the industry standard, then they MUST make optimization easier and mandatory. Iveheard epic is working on making it more intuitive in terms of optimization but still. UE 5 is such a coin flip.

Man lumen is such a ressource hog it seems. But then again even with an rtx 4080 super the game has performance problems atleast for me. Cpupled with incredibly difficult bosses and well I stopped after getting to the desert rat boss. It'll stay that way and go on my games I'll never finish pile. Also won't be getting their next game.

Dont get me wrong, this game as come an insane way. But I still experience texture bugs especially with the flashlight. Now It also has a black screen issue? Idk it feels.liek the more they add the more broken the spaghetti code becomes. At this point I feel its overcooked.....

Couldn't get too far into wukong got stuck on a Boss to the point of giving up. So I'll be skipping this one

Im done with new consoles. I have ps5, series x amd the switch 2. Im set. If anythign I'll focus on pc gaming and that's it. The hobby has become way too expensive to be getting in early.

Nah I'm not getting it now. Will wait for BF6 instead. Though I did like the beta I'm still gonna wait on how the campaign is and how many bugs they've fixed. The beta had some really concerning issues.

I feail to se the point of this game when ultimate edition already exists. Remaster 2 and 3. But no we get another remaster of the 1st game......

Playing on pc and despite a few visual bugs and a few issues regarding spawns, I'm having a blast. Now if they keept true to their word and don't add outlandish skins then I'll most likely get it

Finished the campaign on pc and it was a struggle. Lots of freezing and crashing. Campaing itself was ok. Waiting on dlc.

Cautiously optimistic.

Seriously they plagiarized a core visual element of this game. I cant see this lasting more than a year. The reception so far has been largely negative. Hopefully under stricter guidance Bungie can make a comeback otherwise it may be the next big closure.....

I will wait for the inevitable buggyines of Battlefield to be somewhat patched before jumping in. No interest in cod anymore since they are going the fortnite way of too cartoony skins. Though it fits more in fortnite than cod

Edit: just watched the teaser "trailer". What a nothingburger. Seriously this reminds me of that one Unreal Engine Tech Demo were they were talking about facial animations. There is nothing there to duscuss or be excited about. If this trailer didn't have Kojimas name attached it would be looked at as a vaporware thing.....

XBOX PC on PC (and Playstation and Nintendo and any other platform that wants us (pretty please)).

As for a serous answer why not xbox anywhere? If xbox becomes truly mutliplatform this would make the most sense to me.

@Kaloudz well said. It feel like we are heading for a gamecrash if that makes sense or maybe even entertainment crash. Bloating budgets on unrealistic timeframes and technology that isnt quite there yet. I also think that game engines have suffered due to upscaling. Sure upscaling helps but it feels like without it engines run inefficient. Even with upscaling, performance seems to suffer alot of the time. I mean look at Unreal Engine 5. On paper it sounds like a powerhouse. In actuality it seems to run horrible on most systems. Well not much can be done as a consumer except giving feeback and "voting" with our wallets. Then again there's always the indie scene and AA space to keep an eye on. I also think that sometimes expectations are too high, I know I am "guilty" of hyping up a game for myself just to be disappointed.

Well worth it then to close several studios and lay off staff....also didn't he say they'll use AI way more? So has AI written his statement?

In all seriousness this guy just makes me angry...... so yeah good on gamepass making moeny but it comes with an incredibly bitter aftertaste.

@HonestHick yeah, the fortnitetification of shooters is ridiculous. What happened to arcady yet still serious shooters? Remember cod world at war? Now its all neon skins and cartoon characters. It just ruins the aesthetic.

@Millionski Oh GOD don't get me started on AI. Sure it has it uses and a place to exist in. But the push for it to take over entire aspects of creation is more than worrying.

For me it was also the turning point for Xbox. As in now they feel like a headless chicken. No plan just one day this the next day this. Considering the mass layoffs this just leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. Now I'm not saying that the acquisition was by airself the sole reason for the layoffs. But I'm sure it played a big part. Also yes layoffs happen but this is really shwoing the mismanagement at xbox. Now if we add the whole gamepass discussion and it's looking kinda gloomy around xbox. Evefchanging plans. The whole closure thing (same to you sony). The way it was communicated (see the john romero studio fiasco). Cancelling numerous projects which were apparently far along... The whole everything is an xbox thing(Im'm neutral on this). What is going on at Microsoft?
