We're fast approaching a year since Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown hit Xbox on some unsteady ground, with server problems and performance issues plaguing the open-world racer at launch. The team at Nacon has worked to improve the game in key areas since then, and now it's committed to at least another year of full support for the title - including some classic returning features and a major visual overhaul.
Before we jump into all of this Year 2 goodness, we'll chuck in a quick reminder that Year 1 Season 4 arrives tomorrow, featuring the return of the Test Drive Unlimited Casino amongst some other bits and pieces. You can read up on that via the team's extensive blog post on the future of TDU:SC.
Right, onto Year 2. The game will be continuing with its seasonal updates, and Season 5 is kicking things off in a big way. This update will be arriving in October 2025, and it features extensive changes to the game's rendering pipeline, bringing lots of visual improvements in the process. Here's a quick season-to-season comparison of how the game's graphics will be boosted in Season 5:

Also arriving in Season 5 are changes to the game's economy to be more rewarding for players - alongside the return of Taxi Missions and physical clothing stores from previous TDU titles. As mentioned, this is all arriving in October 2025.
The teams at Nacon and KT Racing have then laid out everything coming to the game next year, starting with Season 6 in January 2026. That update will focus adding community voted missions alongside the return of car-maker Pagani, with Season 7 adding an Official Racing Centre and more Asian car manufacturers in April 2026. Then, finally, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is bringing back houses with its Real Estate Agency update next July.
Here's a quick overview of Year 2 via a new roadmap:

As we linked to earlier in the article, a massive blog post also accompanies this roadmap that goes into plenty more detail on all of this - particularly the team's upcoming Season 4 and Season 5 updates. There's even talk about what's potentially coming to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown after Year 2, with Nacon clearly committed to this for the long term. We'll throw another link to this packed blog post down below.
