No Man's Sky Players Share Fix For Black Screen Issue Following Voyagers Update

Just a quick No Man's Sky update for you this morning!

If you downloaded the massive new Voyagers update on Xbox (or any other platform) yesterday, you may have noticed that it booted into a black screen and nothing else - lots of players have been reporting a problem like this so far.

There is a fix for it though, as shared by numerous people in the No Man's Sky community:

  • Go to the Settings menu on your Xbox console
  • Head to TV & Display Options and then Video Modes
  • Turn off "Allow HDR10" and potentially turn off "Dolby Vision for Gaming" as well
  • Restart your game and your console
  • Hopefully you'll now be able to play No Man's Sky Voyagers!

Obviously this isn't something you should have to do, but the Voyagers update seems to have shipped with a bug that's causing issues with HDR10 and Dolby Vision for Gaming specifically right now.

Lots of people have said this method has worked for them, but it's not 100% guaranteed - if you're still having problems, it could be something to do with your TVs specific HDR settings. Here's hoping the No Man's Sky team will push out a hotfix very soon to remedy the issue permanently - the workaround isn't exactly ideal as things stand!

Has this helped you, or is it still not working properly? Tell us in the comments section below.
