I didn't get on well with the recent Indy game so would much prefer to see another Wolfenstein game. If they could manage it with the polish of Indy (& without the dumb as rock npc ai) that would be perfect.
Neverwinter Nights 2 Enhanced Edition for me. It old school wonky and I am not sure how enhanced it is but it gets the job done well enough to tell its story.
Its a niche game and won't click for everyone due to its age but I am enjoying this old Obsidian classic.
I got Robocop in a sale after a few mentions on here about it being pretty good.
While I thought it captures the essence of the franchise really well I got bored of the repetitive game play and got distracted by other game so I never finished it.
Worth a look for sure but it just didn't quite hit the spot for me personally.
If you have a pc there is probably no benefit getting this as you can already mod the existing versions beyond what this offer. However for us console folks who have an interest in old school rpgs you can have some fun with this.
It has some old school mechanical jank & its certainly not as polished as the likes of BG3. Even so I have enjoyed my time so far and will certainly be continuing my journey through this classic Obsidian adventure.
Not had any game breaking issues in the 7 or so hours i have been able to play so far.
Currently playing Neverwinter Night 2 Enhanced Edition which was originally made by Obsidian back in the day. Enjoyed Avowed earlier in the year also by Obsidian. So hopefully TOW2 will be third treat from them that I enjoy this year.
There are bigger issues that deserve the attention and this isn't even making it into the top billion of important issues.
So the issue is a wonky advertisement for a job & the worst thing that can happen is the position isn't filled. Gosh that is very nearly a world ending event right there 🙄
In between trying not to drown in a puddle of sweat I might play a bit of the new season in Diablo 4 but its too hot at the moment to spend too much time gaming.
That and I don't want to commit to anything too time consuming with Neverwinter Nights 2 enhanced edition launching next week. Hopefully it won't have any technical issue & I can dive fully into the D&D goodness.
@InterceptorAlpha I see you like assumptions so much you shared another one, very generous. Just so you don't lose any sleep i take good care of my cup coasters and ensure they last for many years. 😉
@InterceptorAlpha not sure how you reach that conclusion but hey you do you. Enjoy your assumptions too I guess if it helps you get through the day.🤷♂️
So I assume you are prepping your record breaking physical sales article for this game. Surely all the physical or gtfo folks will prove that its still a viable & profitable media 😉
I would have got it for my PS5 already if I was interested which I am not. Having it on Xbox doesn't make it any more appealing to me not even a little bit.
Finally playing through Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. It goes without saying that I am having a ton of fun. Its refreshing to play a game that treats me like an adult and doesn't pull its punches when it comes to its narrative.
CDPR done good with this one and good on them for not giving up on the project after its rough initial reception (which it deserved.)
This is a real shame if its confirmed. While Motorsport got a rough reception and rightly so it really did feel like they were trending towards a more positive vibe with the last couple of updates.
@NishimuraX As someone not directly affected by the job losses its possible to be sympathetic to the folks who lost their jobs and still acknowledge that you enjoyed what gamepass released for the year so far. They are not mutually exclusive options.
@Ricky-Spanish and its not like Sony have a spotless record when it comes to game closures. What is the cancelled / limbo count on their live service games push?
Both companies are about equally ***** splattered in that regard, neither smell of rose petals & unicorn farts. As much as some folks pretend otherwise (side eyes Push Square)
The recent events have solidified my reasons for not being excited for game that are more than a couple of months away.
Gaming has never had any guarantees for employees or consumers as much as I would wish it were different for both sides
Seems the only folks who get to smile at the end of the day are top execs (& for the most part share holders.). It's a tough world for most other folks though, sigh.
I played both the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Editions and had a great time with both of them. Due to lack of time I haven't really looked at any others but hope to try the Lost in Random game eventually.
Grounded 2 will be exciting to me once its actually released and not a game preview / early access. No interest in Tony Hawk or skateboards generally I was more into bmx (& later mountain bikes 😉)
Just as well really as I have too many games on going as it is right now.
Will be finishing up Hordes of the Underdark in Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition.
Its been a fun but sometimes frustrating journey through this old school classic. Emphasis on old school which is where some of the frustration comes from. Still i had more fun than not so was worth my time. Neverwinter Nights 2 EE launches mid July and i am looking forward to diving into that.
Between now & then I am thinking of diving into Cyberpunk 2077 and finally playing Phantom Liberty. I also have WH40K Rogue Trader as a option too following a recent release of a new story dlc.
Definitely leaning towards CP 2077 at the moment though as I have played a lot of traditional crpgs recently so a change of pace would be welcome.
That would be a shame because with the last track update it really felt like they turned towards the positive. For certain I have been having an easier time finding full races even in non peak hours.
While its still not hitting GT7 levels in terms of easy access to multiplayer racing it seemed to me that it was going in the right direction.
Of course at the moment we shouldn't treat this as anything other than an unconfirmed rumour and remain hopeful for everyone involved at all these studios.
@TrevorP86 Nintendo would have sent in their spec op lawyers quick reaction force abseiling in from the Nintendo liveried Blackhawk to execute a forced entry cease & desist.
I have no desire to play any of the ABK back catalogue as it has nothing I want to put time into.
Still for those folks who are interested I can understand the frustration at the drip feeding of titles. I can't really see a good reason for it after spending all that money you would think they would use everything available to get some return on it.
Well it seems its taking a lot of time to remove all the stolen assests or something.
While its probably better to delay than have another Concord release I have a feeling this will be DOA regardless unless they have a major change in direction.
Still either way not a good look for Sony with yet another multiplayer game in trouble.
Lost in Random is something I will play eventually but I just don't have the time right now. Not interested in the other two but I am sure other folks will have fun with them.
I will give it a go eventually but at the moment I have 7 games on the go at various stages of completion. That is about my limit both time wise & mental bandwith so need to clear some of those first.
@Kaloudz the parity is the reason that Ray Tracing was dropped and received no further support from Mojang. They wanted something that works on all their bedrock platforms and yes that includes last gen consoles & mobile (I believe the only exception being the OG switch.)
Taking that into consideration I think they have done a decent job with vibrant visuals and set the game up with a good foundation.
In the near future I expect we will see mods appear (paid & free) that will push the visual eye candy much further on each platform.
I have been on a bit of an old school D&D vibe this past week after playing through Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition on gamepass. So will be starting Baldur's Gate 2 over the weekend.
Also been playing Neverwinter Night Enhanced Edition on my PS5 and while that is a bit more clunky I am still enjoying my time. (Has me excited to get NWN 2 EE when that is released next month.)
I went the premium upgrade route and used my points to get money off that. It cost me £20 for 2 dlc & early access with base game via gamepass.
I will likely buy base game in a future sale which is something i tend to do when i get these premium upgrade options.
Yes the premium edition is expensive (UK £89.99 with base game only at £69.99), however there are options to ease that cost on xbox at least. The most obvious is gamepass or going the upgrade route if you want the dlc too.
I haven't not enjoyed an Obsidian game and I dont expect that to change with The Outer Worlds 2.
@Fiendish-Beaver while Funcom seem to want to avoid the term Its an mmo. I believe its pretty solo friendly and most things are achievable on your own. In end game I think there is an element of pvp, avoidable pvp but the risk is still there however small (I think you lose resources / inventory but keep equipped gear if you are player killed.)
I wish they had gone the Conan Exiles route so you could have private servers as I am so done dealing with mmo player nonsense these days.

I don't think I ever used it.
Re: Xbox Game Pass Is Getting Another 'Day One' Shadow Drop Today (July 21)
Not interested and even if I was game preview is a no go for me.

Re: Ubisoft Responds To 'Stop Killing Games' Petition, Says They're Doing Their Best To Support Players
If Stop Killing Games comes to pass I hope you all will be comfortable with paying more for your games.
Game companies are a business not a charity. So you can be damn sure any costs incurred to make this a reality will be passed on to the customers.
Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (July 21-25)
Nothing for me there but that just means more time to sink into my long term rpgs so no worries.
Re: Talking Point: As A Game Pass Subscriber, Do You Still Spend Money In Xbox Sales?
I just buy the games that look fun to me.
Sometimes that lines up with sales & sometimes I buy them after finding them on gamepass.
However if I am really excited for something I am not waiting on a sale or gamepass. Life is too short.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 19-20)

Original Destiny with all dlc for £4.24. Will probably use some reward point just for the nostalgia.

Re: Xbox Data Shows 'Most' Console Owners Are Playing On Other Devices As Well, Says Exec
I own a Series X and a PS5.
The majority of my gaming is done on the Series X and most game purchases are for that console.
My PS5 is used for GT7 for the most part and I will buy the odd game in a sale if it's cheaper on that platform.
I will never get a handheld and while gamepass offers me value I have no interest in getting back into pc gaming.
So I guess I am not part of the "most" this exec is referring to.
Re: Talking Point: Have This Month's Announcements Made You Excited About Xbox Again?
