Two Destiny 2 Add-Ons Get Insane 'Just For You' Discounts On Xbox

Eh I think Destiny has had its time now. I don't think there's many folks that would start this at this point.

I could just never really get into destiny I played a butt load of the first one with my mate but once he had to start farming crap to upgrade I got turned right off straight away bungie like the halo franchise have fallen hard since the break up from eachother I wonder if they would rather be still making halo over in bungie nowadays over the live service poo they producing nowadays 🤔

It was bad back when I stopped and from everything I've seen/read recently, it's even worse now. Bungie only keeps Destiny 2 going because they've got nothing to fall back on. If (and that's a big if) Marathon or whatever else they've got in development ever takes off, mark my words Bungie will drop Destiny 2 like a sack of sh*t.

All I ever see in my 'Just For You' section is games I have zero interest in, and the likes of which I do not possess, meaning I have no idea how they come to the conclusion I might want them Or, even more infuriatingly, games that I already own. And they never seem to change! Maybe they think that one day I'll cave and buy the games I don't want, or already have, and then, just maybe, the offer will change.

What would really be great is if you could somehow mark the games to say that you're not interested. Then maybe one day I might get offered something that I do want at a ridiculously cheap price. Personally, I think they know I buy a ton of games at full price, and therefore they want me to keep doing it by offering me games they know I don't want...

Still play Destiny 2 but on my PS5 and that's only because they give away all the dlc on PS Plus.

I enjoy playing it for a week or two, taking a break for a couple of months, rinse & repeat

@Kaloudz I'd happily get back in if they released either a Destiny 1 Remaster or Destiny 3. But there are wayyy too many systems upon systems upon systems and insanely convoluted lore to get back into Destiny 2. I dropped off after year 1 and couldn't ever find a good onramp since then.

Buying Destiny expansions is like buying new backgrounds for Tetris. It’s the same experience since launch and the usual differentiators of level design and story are so weak they may as well be non-existent.

I played since the beta and originally loved the game. Like some have stated, the devs got greedy and some of the content started getting recycled over and over. While there is a lot of content in the game, once you're thru a few is the DLCs, it gets stale pretty quickly. The game has become more of a chore than fun. I stayed for the finale of the main story. I tried a few times afterwards to get back into it but it was just more of the same. Sad to see such a great game fizzle and die from greed. So much potential wasted.

@wildcat_kickz Exactly my issue. I hammered Destiny 1, and played through Destiny 2. It's just become far too "for the long-term players" to even consider jumping back in. I think they know that too, and will just let it sunset in time. Perhaps they'll come back with a Destiny 1/2 remaster when it comes to next gen, with all content - but I shudder to think of the file size lol.

@Millionski @Kaloudz I'm honestly just hoping for a D1 Remaster. Smaller game. Better game. Taken King > anything D2 😉

@wildcat_kickz Taken King was absolute peak. They still haven't topped that IMO! Rise of Iron being the worse...

I played d1 for thousands of hours, I played also d2 for thousands of hours. I stopped around 1 year and a half ago and reinstalled to play the final shape campaign when they had it on free access as a casual now. I can say it was great. I thought I might buy the annual pass or sth like that to play it's raid and dungeons but i saw that not any of my friends play this game anymore and also playing with randoms is a super random experience. I tried the new first free mission from the edge of fate, I think it's ok, but still a big step back again from final shape, so I uninstalled the game again. I also got motion sickness from when you transformed to a ball (it's only the second game it had this effect on me (first was scorn at its beginning) after 32 years of gaming). Anyway, for new players I would suggest you to spend your money and time on other games.
