I tried Gotham Knights planning to beat it before it left and that has to be one of the sh***iest games I’ve ever played. WTF? How is it so bad in every way?

@MjJmediablogger XBox had its highest revenue ever for a quarter this year. It's not a dying brand, they just cry poverty to justify laying people off and raising prices in order to juice their profits.

@Balta666 I think it will likely end up as my GOTY also. The only games I haven’t played that I could see passing it are Space Marines and Mullet Madjack but both fee unlikely. I thought for sure Astro would beat it but it has fairly bland gameplay so it was a letdown for me.

Prince of Persia is by a wide margin my favorite game released this year on any console.

X cloud works so well on steam deck it almost feels like I’m playing natively.

It sounds like it runs like ***** on PC and they didn’t even bother sending out PS5 codes. I have a PS5 but I’m just going to wait until it drops on Xbox. They should have the issues fixed by then.

Playing through Gears of War with my wife is peak gaming for me. I will be absolutely crushed if the new Gears game forgoes split screen.

@JustinSane I don’t mind a meh story I can largely ignore. A good story is at the most a welcome plus rather than something I need. To quote Dr Robotnik, “The time for talking is over. It’s time to push buttons.”

@JustinSane I’m starting to think overlooked AA game with great combat might be exactly what I want from games especially on GP. I recently loved Evil West and Outriders. I love that they’re straight forward action without getting bogged down in AAA bloat.

This game is a 10/10 absolute masterpiece. It's the best 3D platformer other than Mario Odyssey.

I wish they would just leave the game up with generic car models. the brand of the pixelated car is very meaningless to me and I prefer 4 to 5. I thought it had better off road racing.

I’m working my way through FIST. It’s pretty good and there is probably still time for people to play through it.

The combat is fun though some of the scenarios can feel a bit repetitive, it has the perfect amount of exploration for me which is not much, the story is good enough, and it looks great.

If you want to use your limited time engaging with coverage of a game you have nothing more to say about than I’m not interested in it I’m interested in these unrelated things rather than just engaging with those completely unrelated games then it’s your right to do so. Have fun being here uninterested.

I’m super excited for this. There are not enough co-op games. I’m hoping it will fill the Streets of Rage 4 shaped void in my heart.

i just now learned this is a roguelike and my hype for it went way up. It's crazy to me how fast I changed from ugh another roguelike a few years ago to now being like cool another roguelike. It's such a good genre.

The racing isn’t as good as Forza but I thought this did the car festival aspect better and has more interesting variety.

It’s funny that people like this always paint themselves as wise visionaries who see truths others can’t. It’s like okay dude it doesn’t take a genius to guess that they’ll monetize the game in various ways.

Anytime this happens the games typically run like ***** on PS5 and PC at release and by the time they fix those they also drop the working Xbox version.

Can you imagine having spent $50 to watch that live?

SteamWorld Heist 2 had me as soon as I learned it existed. I loved the first game and Dig 2 so much. I'm currently playing Quest and that's great too.

Reboot!!! I'm not a long time fan but I have in recent years played 1, 3, and Infinite. I loved the gameplay in all three especially Infinite but the story always falls flat. Master Chief is a bad lead who desperately needs a reboot and the lore feels deep in a way that is not at all compelling.

Gears 6 that continues the legacy of split screen multiplayer. I will be incredibly bummed out if it ditches local coop like Halo Infinite. Playing Gears on the couch with my wife is peak gaming for me.

To me this looked like more of a tech demo than a full fledged game leading up to release and the reviews seem to concur with that sentiment. I enjoyed the simplistic gameplay in the first game and had hoped they would build on it but of course they opted to build on the technical side instead. I really hope we get to a point soon when developers stop prioritizing graphics over everything else.

I was/am a lifelong Nintendo fanboy but wanted to get an HD console to play the games that skipped Switch. I ended up choosing Xbox becasue the Playstation audiance struck me as especially toxic. I now own all three and still think PS has the most toxic audience.

Even if this new studio predates the decision to close studios the announcement being made this week shows a lack of cohesion, leadership, and humanity from Microsoft gaming executives. This is such a bad look.

Is this supposed to be a video game or a tech demo? They should have put the resources that created this towards making a performance mode.

Considering that software sales have also stagnated year over year people really shouldn’t see this as an indictment of subscription services. Entertainment generally is suffering as a result of corporate price gouging.

All of the above. Quick resume is on par with having a controller with proper stick placement as far as the reasons why I use my series x way more than my ps5.

Whether you like games to look good or feel good the choice is obvious, performance. Quality looks choppy and feels terrible.

I am unfortunately one of the 5 million. I dropped off after the second level. The platforming feels so stiff.

@OldGamer999 Xbox doesn't have anythong on the level of GOW or TOTK but FH5, Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, Pentiment, and Hi-Fi Rush are all as good as Mario Wonder and significantly better than HFW. The horizon games are the most 7.5/10 games ever made.

@ZYDIO That setup sounds amazing. I’m 11 ft from a 55 inch so 4k is especially meaningless for me. Sometimes when my wife is out I do set up a chair right in front of the tv and it’s great.

@ZYDIO I’m playing an older game at 30fps right now. It’s not impossible to enjoy but it absolutely impacts gameplay and makes it appear choppy. It’s mostly just a disappointing decision to go for cutting edge 4k visuals, which no human can appreciate at normal viewing distances, rather than prioritizing performance which doesn’t just make games feel better. It makes them look better too.

I prefer variety. My yop 10 games have the following hour counts 256, 83, 35, 15, 56, 155, 23, 25, 65, 14.
