I'll play the campaign when it comes to Gamepass

Playing Battlefield 6 after I finish the E-Day campaign. Heard good things about the campaign so will try it out

@JustBusiness

Definitely

Not complaining as a gamepass user but I struggle to see how they are profiting releasing it day 1 on gamepass.

It was my first ever Xbox and the main reason was the cheap entry point at £200

No chance I'd bother with one today at these prices

$500 for a Series S in 2026.

Having a laugh

Shocking decision. 2 subscriptions to play an offline game in co-op?

Hope the backlash is severe. This is embarassing behaviour.

30FPs and quite the downgrade on Series S. 1m

This is a bad sign.

Satya speaks and layoffs happen. I gave it a month

Day 1 Downloads on Gamepass.

I mainly got a Series S as I wanted a cheap way to play xbox exclusives so E-Day is a must download.

Money talks.

If these titles are bleeding money being only on Xbox and on Game Pass, they will pivot.

I stacked 3 years of gamepass ultimate 3 years ago with the 1:1 conversion and the return on investment has been insane.

Super excited for E-Day and thats an immediate Day 1 download

Queen's Blood is what I am excited for. I got super addicted to it in Rebirth

Makes sense. GTA 6 is going to dominate everything during the holidays and releasing anything near it is asking to fail

A plague tale by far.

Day 1 play on gamepass

Day 1 on gamepass. Must play

As someone who only plays versus online, this is great.

@White_oyster

Had no clue a new one was even releasing. I'll wait for reviews

Not touched it. Played most of those games several years ago and they go on deep discounts regularly enough that if you wanted to play them, you probably already did

@FarmDog08

Unlikely. Its been years since they have. Best to just get it now if you want to play it.

Many great RPGs already this year. Infinite Wealth is another fun one

@IOI

Absolute nonsense. Microsoft has told me that there is no need to own an actual console as I can play all my games as long as I have cloud gaming available.

Advertising their own downfall.

I am subscribed till mid 2027 on old pricing and will downgrade to essential as its not worth it for me anymore.

Dont care for COD. Most games are on sale for cheap so all good. I plan on leaving the ecosystem after this gen since i can get xbox games on playstation

Xbox games are headed to Playstation now so as someone who only got a Series S to play Xbox games, this is the first and last Xbox I ever own.

2/10 in terms of optimism for the brand.

Microsoft is determined to tank the value of Xbox ecosystem

@Elbow

Precisely. Plus if you live in the UK/USA, that is less than 1 hour of minimum wage work. Not worth it for the amount of time it would take to get 10K pts

$0

Only got an xbox because the Series S was an affordable entry point into the ecosystem.

Now with most if not all xbox exclusives are headed to Playstation, don't see the need to get the next gen version.

Not surprising in the slightest. I played the campaign which was the worst one ever IMO.

Releasing back2back Black Ops was a strange decision even at its announcement.

Releasing Day 1 on Gamepass will eat into those sales numbers

Not surprising seeing Xbox struggle. Its been speedrunning its downfall all of 2025 and not bothering to compete in BF sales is telling of what Microsoft thinks of the division

Lost records will be a play since I enjoy choice games. Quick weekend game

Played the campaign on gamepass and its easily the worst in the series. Dropped and deleted

Why would I have when there is gamepass?

The reason I got my first ever Xbox. Cheap entry point. Gamepass machine.

I'd 100% play MW2 over Black Ops 7 if it releases this month

I only got a Series S because I wanted to play Xbox exclusives. Now when my Gamepass Ultimate sub expires next year, I'll sell it and continue playing Xbox games on my PS5

Xbox is speed running its own death at this rate. Series S is likely to be my last (and first) ever Xbox

Horrible value. You can get them for dirt cheap on sale these days. They are old so if you had a passing interest in them, you would have already played them by now

My Sub is until April 2026 so once that lapses, I'm done.

£23/month is too much.

My sub expires in April 2026. I will not be renewing. £23/month is insane.

I never buy games. Got the Series S to be a gamepass machine and its more than paid for itself.

Metaphor
Expedition 33
Persona 3 Reload
THPS 3+4

Soon i get Wuchang, Gears Reloaded and the inevitable COD.

No need to buy games

@Boogaloo_Jenkins

My thoughts exactly. Doesnt feel like this generation has even properly started.

I know i am in no hurry

Not interested at all but fair play to those that are.

Series S was my 1st and last Xbox console. Holding off finishing Halo 3 and beyond on Playstation

Halo & Gears are next

@Kilamanjaro

Your comment summarizes whats wrong with modern gaming.

Back in the day, getting a game at launch would mean a complete experience. Nowadays buying Day 1 makes you a glorified beta tester.

The game should be fun itself but we should never give corporations the benefit of the doubt. Thats how complacency sets in. Look at Sony with the PS3 launch.

Give us new games instead

Will beat the campaign and done.

Day 1 Purchase.

Love how RGG studios releases games quickly compared to other studios.

@AccessibleDaydream

Well said!

We shouldn't say "it is what it is" as that just gives publishers the green light to get even more aggressive with it.

We were all shocked at the first cosmetic microtransaction in Oblivion.

Watch when they start locking the ending to a game behind microtransactions or paying to unlock missions and quests in game.

Beat Gears 1-5 for the first time recently and its the weakest of the lot.

I enjoyed 1-3 the most and those characters. The new ones are bland. Nothing particularly interesting.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner

That's literally why theh waited until the last minute.

Why turn down free money?
