Re: Xbox Adds More Perks For Game Pass Members (October 2025)

MysticWangForce

I've never been able to see any of these perks on my tablet or mobile app. It's rubbish it always says something wrong. When I do check via the console it's all just multiplayer tat. Most useful thing I ever had was an apple TV trial which got me into "for all mankind"

More of these. Less nonsense for Fortnite. Or whatever the yoof play....

Re: Poll: Should The Next Xbox Controller Support AA Batteries Again?

MysticWangForce

Eneloops
This is the way. As many others have pointed out. I don't even find the pro ones necessary myself. Get yourself a charger and a selection of AA and AAA batteries and you're pretty sorted for your domestic devices. Winrar. And actually I'll happily make an admission.... My series s is my first Xbox. So never experienced using a controller with AA batteries. Having used it now and how long it lasts on the eneloops well I wish my dual sense would take them.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Are You Getting On With Microsoft Rewards In 2025?

MysticWangForce

got my console dec 2023 with 3 months GPU for silly money from bezonet. I didn't start using it until march for my birthday. By then i had built up a decent buffer of points with just doing M$ silly daily tasks. the intention being to see if i could sustatin GPU on points. Once i started using the console i increased the points intake and i am now averaging about 15k a month with hardly any effort and just as part of a routine. Not paid for GPU once and gotten a few cheap games out of it. Can't grumble when all i paid was about £184 for the console

Re: New Sales Data Highlights How Xbox Is 'Dominating' PS5 Right Now

MysticWangForce

Ugghhhh stuff like this makes me feel the 43 years of my age. absolutely tired of this console wars nonsense and attempts to revive it. Push square highlights console sales, pure Xbox highlights this. Rahh rahh rahh. Just play on what you damn well want and what suits your needs. I'm fortunate to own a ps5, series s and pc but I game on console because it's easier. And what do I play on my fab new next gen consoles? Old games because I just can't be arsed anymore haha.

Re: Hyperkin Is Going Full-PS5 With Its New 'Competitor' Xbox Controller

MysticWangForce

Ah good to see the discourse about stick placement is alive and well. How about whatever works for the individual? It's their own comfort surely. I've only ever known symettrical sticks since the original dual shock. Only been gaming with a xbox pad for about 10 months and didn't think i would ever get used to it, but i have. And i can appreciate the design of both controllers. This on my coffee table would confuse the hell out of me haha. I'd be picking up the wrong pad for both. At least with the normal pads there is no confusing them if you pick them up blind.

Which one do i think is better? if you must know. Dualsense. personally it feels more well made to me. BUT the xbox controller feels like a quality product as well. So no shade. And i had a LOT of crappy 3rd party controllers as a kid.... i can still remember that mega drive style SNES pad. **shudders**

Re: Xbox Game Pass Quests Are Getting A Big Overhaul For 2025

MysticWangForce

i just turn on my series s, load doom e1m1 and have a 15 shutdown timer then go do something else like make tea. Probably gonna be better than trying to get easy trophies every day. Never really considered it a grind as such as i usually enjoyed what i was playing. But adult me has to adult sadly.... leaves less time for fun.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Console Sales Down A Third In Europe With 'Weaker Software Lineup' In 2024

MysticWangForce

Bought my series s last year for £184 on a pre christmas sale here in the uk from bezosnet. Primarily did this for the chance to turn it into a retrogaming monster. But the opportunity to play all the xbox games i had never played in the last 20 years due to being a PS owner was a good opportunity. I just keep rinsing gamepass with the m$ points i built up. I know it's an "I'm alright jack" attitude but im really not fussed what happens from this point on. MS are a trillion dollar company they don't care about me or anyone else. And i feel the same way about sony.

Re: 22 Years Later, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Is Finally Coming To Xbox

MysticWangForce

So I have the emulated original version on my PS4 and ps5. And it's fun but god it's janky controls wise and the difficulty sometimes is just downright unfair. I actually abandoned my recent play through because I wasn't having fun. And dualsense controllers are not cheap.... But if this is a remaster that fixes those issues I could be interested. I've no problems with aspyr, the jedi knight remasters they did were good fun. And best way I've played them so far.

Re: Report: Xbox Is Working On A Halo Remaster, Also 'Considering' PS5 Release

MysticWangForce

I'm just gonna post here what i did on push square:

Halo is the first game i played on my series s when i got it up and running. One of the main reasons for getting a series s alongside my playstations was 1) Retroarch lulz. 2) To play all the games i have missed for 20 years because of some childish console wars nonsense. Despite just buying one i would welcome this onto ps5 and would play it. Everyone should be able to play everything on anything eventually.

I can see what the appeal was of the Halo series now and it was and has been damn fun so far. I am currently taking a break while on Reach. I have only 2 criticisms.... The goddamn library level. Enjoy that when you take it on finally. Those goddamn drive to escape levels. No bungie, they were not fun. And i think these should be changed going forward. But with an option to try the original version if you are masochistic

And yeah. MCC or don't bother.

Re: Talking Point: Which Has Been The Most Reliable Xbox Console For You?

MysticWangForce

My series s. As it's the only one I've ever had... 😂 Mostly had Nintendo's and PlayStation's and I still have every ps and still in working order. My PS2 original fat needed some tlc on the optical laser caddy I fixed that myself. Probably due to overuse! I did sell on my PS3 fat for a slim as it was starting to sound like a Vulcan bomber. Apparently it conked out 6 months later..... Not my problem tho. 😀

Re: Talking Point: What Convinced You To Pick Xbox In The First Place?

MysticWangForce

£184 for the series s last December in the UK. I'm fortunate that I still havenall my PlayStation's and currently run a ps5 but have the disposable income to get the series s. Mainly out of curiosity because my plan is long term to turn it into a retrogaming beast. but the 3 months game pass included was a nice addition that allows me to now play games I've missed out on for the last 20 odd years since I've solely been a playstation owner.

So no loyalty switching, no moral change of stance. It was just cheap. And I've built up enough m$ points and cashback from other means to continue game pass if I choose to.

For the record neither anything Sony, Nintendo or M$ are doing right now excites me. Andmi wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could chuck them.

Re: Microsoft Announces Dates For The Final Two Xbox 360 Store Sales

MysticWangForce

As someone who only just joined the xbox ecosystem earlier this year i am a little confused by this as there are some older games id love to play that i have not gotten around to yet. If i see a game that was on the original xbox or 360 that is on the storefront of my series s will this be affected? Or is it just the store via the 360 console? Crimson Skies im looking at you.

Re: Xbox Is Continuing To Make UI Improvements For Handheld Devices

MysticWangForce

Having tried the remote gaming ability while away for work a recent weekend i can say the overall experience now was pretty decent. Shoddy internet in the hotel aside the experience of connecting to my series s some 200 odd miles away was pretty straightforward. The onscreen controls were not particularly good though. Not that ill be using it that much going forwards regardless as that is a personal choice to not mobile game. Think i would sooner chuck my series s in a bag and try to hook it up to a hotel tv or buy a portable screen haha.

Re: Xbox Mobile Store Launches This July With Its Own 'First Party Portfolio'

MysticWangForce

Oh joy another bloody app to install. FWIW i find a lot of things about the xbox app now good. Same could be said for the playstation app. But also Some aspects are absolute bantha fodder.
Want to play remotely on your ps? sure just download the separate app, but you can access it through the main app....
Want to see what is on the xbox game store? sure thing. wanna see prices? LOL no wai bro, but you can download it to console.

Can we just have a nice single app please? kthnxbai.

Re: OG Xbox Creator: I Believe In Xbox, Despite This Week's 'Tragic' Job Losses

MysticWangForce

As an "outsider" who only just joined the xbox / M$ ecosystem (lifelong gamer, nintendo, pc, ps.) It's interesting seeing how the energy of xbox seems to have changed. From the outside looking in. Now I'm invested in it to some degree I can see how many things have come about from refinement. But yeah if i think about it, the soul of it has changed irrevocably. I could say the same for Playstation as well. I think in my own headspace i still live in those Halycon days of edgy ps and xbox things. Despite being a firm believer that the console wars are dead. Just waiting for Hasbro to gobble up everything. "Til all are one".

Re: Talking Point: Is Sarah Bond Hinting At Eventually Moving Away From Xbox Hardware?

MysticWangForce

As someone who just got their very first and what may amusingly turn out to be last piece of xbox hardware (series s bought when it was stupidly low priced) I find myself somewhat amused by the whole situation. In some ways its like the best kind of Frasier farce episode with everyone coming and going out of a room while the whole kitchen is on fire. Eddie is just sat there playing Jewel on the app for M$ points of course....

Re: Recent Studio Closures Tied To 'Long Term' Health Of The Business, Claims Xbox President

MysticWangForce

I seem to have chosen an interesting time to join the Xbox / M$ ecosystem. It's all well and good these people banging on about "i know this hurts / we don't really want to do this / blah blah blah." This won't help anyone who has been left without a job, the massive mental health load of it, not including the practicalities like bills to pay. Nah but they're fine. Trillion dollar company. I find it all rather indefensible personally......
