I'm considering getting an HDD since majority of my games downloaded are actually 360 and Xbox OG.

Xbox is supported fully by Microsoft so they don't really have worry about being competitive in that space. They want to move to PC and are keeping the lights on for Xbox until they can find a way to bring their hardware & software ambitions to marry together that let's them only invest on PC. I'm all for it at this point since they want to simplify their software making strategy for their studios and developers

I mean I've been saying the same thing since it was announced, Microsoft needs to stick to software. They need to really hone in on making great games & the success will follow.

Day One isn't much of a benefit when games launch full of bugs. Week 3 is better imo

Capcom deserves all the praise for this golden period in its history and smart product management

They should make one with a proper launch without drama

BioShock prequel would be great to see Rapture in all it's glory and then fall apart

I loved Starfiel, I'll hop back into it again someday..I have the DLC and some awesome ships so gotta get back into it eventually. I want to level up faster so hope there are some changes there between playthroughs

Can Rayman even be AAA? A and AA, think they don't need to ballout to make a great Rayman game. They're always pretty fun & I'm sure this isn't a console seller.

In all seriousness I love retro games and making more available is great for everyone. I own some retro and "new" retro consoles so like this type of stuff

This game is better on a handheld. Something about playing it on a big TV doesn't feel right. I love the look and feel of the game but barely finished the tutorial 😢 seriously need to put time into this one

Wow what a great year for Gamepass. Last year really sucked for the price so I'm very happy to just see non stop bangers coming to the service.

@Cakefish I think they are just gonna make it Xbox a gaming PC, it'll take a generation to rebrand and get the message to consumers but it'll happen in time

Missed opportunity for real. It was cool when the N64 was still a console and so many gamers have been born since then they likely don't even know the franchise well and when they do it's the 360 version which was very meh. I don't really care about it or understand what sets it apart from the absolute juggernauts of shooters that have launched since then. Perfect Dark to me was all about local couch multiplayer so this seems to be a solo adventure with maybe some online if we are lucky so it's gone really far away from the early days of the franchise.

This sells maybe 10 million units if it's lucky. Not sure why they're doing this when they can hardly sell consoles to begin with. Nice idea if it launched with the hype of PC handhelds 2 years ago. Sony pulled out of this area for a reason, I'm hyped for those that want it. I would've bought this up earlier in the XSX lifecycle when I got the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. Might sway me still if it's under $400

@jesse_dylan tbh I think it's Xbox and Sony just marketing FPS like it's a big deal. I do expect higher FPS because they claim it but I'm fine with 30 FPS. I played the Switch for years and that is proof graphics and FPS are unimportant to enjoy an excellent set of games

This game doesn't even need more tbh. I love 120 but 30 is fine for a cinematic game like this

I liked the multiplayer for a long time (after the launch which was botched for online) and barely uninstalled the game this year. They just lowered costs & the game suffered for it. I love how they kept adding content but hey also cut back on cutscenes, abandoned DLC, & massively scaled back the team. 343 deserved it so hoping these changes make the next halo game better. I'll reinstall this as the gunplay is awesome still. I love firefight as well.

That is a fair opinion but a gamepass machine isn't enough value for me. At least we have options though & that is a plus. I like to buy physical but I'm a niche group

@FraserG tested as a shovel lol I hope it feels more like a console than an ASUS ROG. Had big issues with the PC navigation via the handheld

Oh yeah, the FTC are gonna get it now. Microsoft is the most aggressive mf company out there. Of course they're gonna dominate in software and that's good for us Xbox fans

If they add a first person shooter point of view I'm all in. Extraction shooters feel better with FPS vs 3rd person imo because you can peak much easier in first person and set up shots. I'm a massive Hunt Showdown fan so will be extra particular about any new game coming out. I want more shooters in the genre so maybe 3rd person will turn out much better than I think. Will give it a shot either way to whet my whistle

I too enjoy making bad financial decisions that I expect to make more money for me. As is life. Poor devs that poured their sweat and bled for this game.

If game development costs more then game subscriptions will cost more

I'm going to move to a self sustaining farm and grow food for myself so I can afford gaming after this generation. Xbox ought to just focus on releasing as many games as possible for PC and current consoles rather than push for a next gen consoles at this point. I'm not dropping more than $500 for a console to pay $80-100 for games and an ever more expensive subscription service. PC master race? Maybe..

Let's just put these bad boys at $1000 and keep that price for 10 years.

September 2024 to December 2025 going to be the best 15 months of Xbox for a long time. Starfield, Indiana Jones, Avowed, Oblivion, DOOM, Fable & just so much gold stuff. I said I wasn't gonna sub to gamepass in November again but let's see, maybe I just buy 3-5 of those and stick with Core. It is very good to finally have it feel like a lot of value whereas same time last year were all delays of major titles

They're really not becoming the Netflix of gaming. They're becoming the Microsoft Office of gaming. Getting on every possible device.

I just signed up for the Alpha. Bungie has the best gunplay in the biz, not sure if it's still the case but will find out. I'm hoping they make the game more photorealistic instead of whatever art style they're going for as it's a bit distracting. I'm a big fan of extraction shooters playing Hunt Showdown so have high hopes for this to be good.

Now they need to remaster Starfield

Microsoft is hardly producing physical content, makes sense to save a few bucks and go all digital if you're looking at straight savings

Xbox Game Pass is not worth for me personally anymore. Xbox has a lot of sales and I'm not playing many games. Price increases have turned me off but hey! If you like it, the option is THERE which can't really be said for Nintendo and Sony. It's also on PC so if you have Ultimate there, it may very well be worth your while. I'm gonna buy this game even though it's on Game pass, at least I get a small discount but am gonna wait for physical details

I enjoyed Oblivion more than Skyrim. I remember reading gaming magazines at the time & watching videos on YouTube about the launch and the physics and graphics this would bring to consoles. I poured so much time into it, the game would crash or freeze at the 130 hour mark. Even with the bugs I had a special time hopping into big RPGs with the launch of this title. Such a great time. I will be buying this, hope they have a physical copy.

How about a poll on who would win in a fight? Master Chief or Doom guy? I'd say Doom guy wins majority of those battles

Yeah right, will wait for a patch on this bad boy. I've been burned with early access so many times, not worth it.

@Kaloudz the campaign is a ton of fun. The acting in it is top notch. Play it for the cutscenes & character development, it's a great time

A lot of these are made in China so I think it will delay the comeback of this service while they figure out the global market at the moment 😭😢
