Re: Marathon Players Share Their Initial Thoughts As Xbox Alpha Goes Live

Kilamanjaro

I just signed up for the Alpha. Bungie has the best gunplay in the biz, not sure if it's still the case but will find out. I'm hoping they make the game more photorealistic instead of whatever art style they're going for as it's a bit distracting. I'm a big fan of extraction shooters playing Hunt Showdown so have high hopes for this to be good.

Re: Xbox Is Already Achieving Massive Success With Oblivion Remastered

Kilamanjaro

Xbox Game Pass is not worth for me personally anymore. Xbox has a lot of sales and I'm not playing many games. Price increases have turned me off but hey! If you like it, the option is THERE which can't really be said for Nintendo and Sony. It's also on PC so if you have Ultimate there, it may very well be worth your while. I'm gonna buy this game even though it's on Game pass, at least I get a small discount but am gonna wait for physical details

Re: Bethesda Officially Announces Oblivion Remastered, Full Reveal Coming Tomorrow

I enjoyed Oblivion more than Skyrim. I remember reading gaming magazines at the time & watching videos on YouTube about the launch and the physics and graphics this would bring to consoles. I poured so much time into it, the game would crash or freeze at the 130 hour mark. Even with the bugs I had a special time hopping into big RPGs with the launch of this title. Such a great time. I will be buying this, hope they have a physical copy.

Re: Nintendo's Doug Bowser Just Channelled One Of The Most Infamous Xbox Quotes Ever

Doug Bowser just isn't very Nintendo. His decisions on keeping Internet connections on for people that own multiple Switches was outright dumb as I owned the launch model, lite and OLED and would often pack it up to go out only to not be able to play a bunch of my content because that device hadn't been online. They are just allowing this now for up to 2 weeks. A great improvement but their decisions don't make a lot of sense to me.

Re: Video: Phil Spencer Shows Off 'Secret Xbox Lab' For Next-Gen Hardware

I've had a chance to visit factories like this and it's awesome they had a little tour of it. I think I can feel confident buying any device or building my own PC and it not being an Xbox after this video because it looks like I'll be able to play it in anything I want. I can finally let go but I don't wanna 😭 I've owned every Xbox, I don't wanna stop

Re: ASUS Xbox Handheld Set To Rival The Nintendo Switch 2 In Price

Kilamanjaro

I like Xbox but Nintendo has decades of experience in this and actually design their games for the device itself instead of trying to get their games to as many devices as possible which leads to many not tailored different experiences. I would prob get both though if the Xbox handheld is compelling enough

Re: Sony Causes A Stir Among Xbox Fans With Black Myth: Wukong Comment

I just hope with the next "most powerful console ever" they don't shoot it in the leg with a weaker variant that holds it back. Series S has been great for Xbox growth & casual gamers being the most sold console of the two but it's also made getting the more expensive version a little bit moot, I benefit from 4k and 120fps but it's on just a handful of titles. If I get another Xbox at all it'll be their cheapest version, no more huge spend for something they hardly support. Still wanna build a PC since Microsoft is moving everything over there anyway

Re: OG Xbox Creator Shares His Thoughts On The State Of The Brand In 2025

I think we will end up with options, hardware will have a place as long as we have hands and fingers and thumbs and eyes. There's something about tactile feel and control and ownership over something that will always lead to there being physical gaming products. Sure you can buy Catan, chess and Risk in a digital format but a physical set is always going to exist. Same for games with screens and perpiherals, we will want that for a very long time.
