Xbox Says Cloud Gaming Is Up 45% With Game Pass & Console Users In 2025

On the back of Xbox's November 2025 Update, Microsoft has given us some fresh figures on Xbox Cloud Gaming usage these days - with the service up across a bunch of different metrics year-on-year.

First off, the team says that Cloud Gaming usage in general from Game Pass subscribers is up 45% on last year, while console players are also using Xbox Cloud Gaming 45% more compared to the same time in 2024.

These are some pretty huge jumps, although it's not quite as big of a leap for Xbox Cloud Gaming on different devices outside of console. That particular needle has moved 24% year-on-year - still a notable boost then, and in general, Microsoft's Cloud Gaming push seems to be paying off for them.

"Players are streaming their games more than ever — cloud gaming hours from Game Pass subscribers has increased 45% compared to this time last year. And, console players are embracing flexibility, spending 45% more time cloud streaming on console and 24% more on other devices."

This update on Cloud Gaming statistics goes on to mention the program's expansion to new regions and devices, alongside some fresh features for Xbox Cloud Gaming - and we've covered that elsewhere on Pure Xbox if you'd like a look at how the service is expanding here in 2025.
