PSA: The Next Few Months Could Be Very Busy With Xbox-Related Showcases

If it feels like we're getting Xbox showcases pretty much every month at the minute, that's because, well... we basically are! Aside from July (which makes sense given June's Xbox Games Showcase), we've had monthly showcases in the back half of 2025 so far - including August's Gamescom Opening Night Live, September's Tokyo Game Show and October's ID@Xbox Showcase. And, it's looking like the next three months will also be packed with Xbox-related events.

For November 2025, we're expecting an Xbox Partner Preview event, at least according to Windows Central's Jez Corden. The Xbox journalist seems confident on that, with the apparent third-party-focused show set to be headlined by a bunch of Xbox Play Anywhere titles. Expect to hear about this one in an official capacity in the coming weeks.

Moving onto December 2025, Geoff Keighley will be hosting his annual The Game Awards extravaganza - with this year's show taking place on December 11th. This one isn't hosted by Xbox of course, but plenty of Xbox games will be present at the event; TGA tends to cover pretty much every platform holder and publisher as teams use the winter timing to provide major updates on future titles.

Finally, as has been the trend for the last three years, Xbox Developer Direct is set to return in January 2026; last year's show went down on January 23rd for an idea on when to expect it. While the exact timing and the games for this show haven't been confirmed yet, Xbox has some massive titles launching next year - including Fable, Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved. It stands to reason that all of these games could potentially show up at the Microsoft first-party showcase in January.

Taking into account those three already-concluded shows we mentioned up at the top, this would mark half a year of monthly Xbox-related showcases - and February 2025 actually delivered its own ID@Xbox show, so Microsoft could even make it a seven-month streak! Either way, Xbox is clearly dedicated to providing as many shows for its upcoming games as possible, even if messaging outside of these events is a bit all over the place at the moment.
