Re: Talking Point: Looking Back, How Useful Has Smart Delivery Been To You On Xbox?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

its a smart idea !
haha
i always thought that the Xone version was on disc. And you had to download the series X version.
But with Tony hawk it seems the other way.

But what does it mean for the future as far as retro gaming.
can in the future i install the Xone versions on my old Xone in case my series X implodes.
but truthfully , Im redoing my entertainment room. so that i can have my consoles all set up. across the board.
My Xseries X sits in my secondary room. And will remain there as its connected to my router with Lan as the wifi on the series X is useless.

I will use my Xbox One Elite in my main room to play my Xbox games on my projector. So being able to install compatible games to my Xone is imperative.

Re: Microsoft Movies & TV Is Officially Ending, Which Will Have A Big Impact On Xbox

KITG_Group_BrunoB

yes its been around since the dawn of time, but i wouldn't loose my head over it.
HAHA!

only ever used it to see what's new out. never purchased anything on it.

DVD's and Blurays are readily available for most of the films i want to see. And do buy a lot of those . then i use Prime purely because its convenient and you get the free delivery. .

Plus there's nothing like viewing a film at the cinema. which though not cheap anymore, is a nice night out.

As long as you can still access your purchased movies , Not sure how it worked. but if the movie or series is downloaded to your hard drive , can you not just transfer them to a external drive and put them on PC or a media player. amid watch them there.
or do you need a certain program to watch the content ?

Re: Poll: Which Of Xbox's Fall 2025 Games Are You Most Excited About?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Anything that has a physical disc.
Ninja GAIDEN IV floats my boat.
Outer Worlds 2 looks good. but i doubt it will get a physical release, unless it comes to PS5 to.

Ill end up getting a PS5 by Christmas anyway to play exclusives on the platform. so any games not physical on XBOX usually geta physical on PS5.

SO ILL GO THAT ROUTE.
Probably pick up the physical copy of Oblivion for one platform or another.
plus just having got a Switch 2 I shan't be short of new games to play.
Like METROID 4 / Splatoon Raiders and whatever Nintendo unleash over the coming monks.

Re: Talking Point: After Almost Two Years, How Do You Feel About Xbox's Starfield In 2025?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

It was of the games I bought my Series X for. upgrading from my Xone video player.
I enjoyed the game on Gamepass for a bit , but as not a monthly subscriber (i dont like subs and tend to just jump in for a month here and there when there's a few games i want to try) , i waited and purchased a copy for £22 for the base game.

I really liked the game at first , but find that the slog to get anywhere quite tiresome. going to planets and finding you don't have the firepower to overcome the hostiles , resulting in you legging it to another place to find more of the same.

It's like the opportunity to progress is stifled by poor implantation of being able to actually have enough resources to actually complete any missions.
The idea is great but its damn frustrating at times.

Re: Xbox Layoffs Begin As Phil Spencer Shares Internal Microsoft Gaming Update

KITG_Group_BrunoB

All this will be coming from the head of Microsoft , i doubt what ever the likes of Phil Spencer , Bond or Booty say.
when Natty (i cant remember the head guys name) says jump they jump. or its there job will be on the line.

Well i was disillusioned with Xbox of late anyway.
Having just bought a Sw2 , Ill be moving on from buying on Xbox and probably buy a PS5 before Xmas so i can have a game on a disc.

I doubt Xbox will be in my sights next gen. they don't seem to able to get it right. A shame as good competition to Sony and Nintendo is good. But now they seem like the odd one out at a party sitting alone who everyone ridicules.

Re: Report: Multiple Industry Veterans To Leave Xbox Studios Amidst Layoffs

KITG_Group_BrunoB

So basically Rare is no more. once you loose the heart of what made Rare so many years ago.
Being I still have my Ultimate Play the Game games and many of the the N64 titles. when you look at the turnout of the games Rare has released under Microsoft it is dismal.

So is there anybody left at Rare that was with the company prior to the Microsoft buy out. Not including the tea Boy.

Re: Next Xbox Console: Everything We Know So Far About Microsoft's Next-Gen System

KITG_Group_BrunoB

for full back compat , it needs to be with a disc drive, whether the new generation of games will use the disc drive is another matter of course.
but if you have Xone / Xbox series disc games you need a disc drive.

who knows what it will be , but i feel physical media on the new system will be a non starter, and for that matter I wont be jumping in.
Good luck to those that do.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

No Perfect Dark was a disappointment, , some nice games shown, but as most are cross platform, (PS5) IT takes the excitement off a bit.

Also how many of these will get physical editions. probably not that many.
so that kind of leaves very few I will play.

Well not until i can grab them in a crazy sale for £20 or under.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Many Of You Are Buying A Switch 2?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

I skipped the original Switch, as i thought Kimishima or whatever his name is, screwed WiiU owners , with many games in development for the system transferred to the Switch. Considering WiiU owners where starved of games . I thought nah not gonna give Ni9ntendo money while he's at the reigns .

But with Switch 2 I will take the plunge. and Ill get to play some of those Switch titles I missed by buying them second hand.

Also with the way Microsoft are screwing up physical releases. and with no physical for Avowed or South of Midnight , it looks like My series X will get less use. And I wont be investing in the next Xbox as things look presently.

I don't do subscriptions really, so Gamepass is not for me. As I like to take my time with games. I don't concentrate on one game till i finish it. I often have many on the go across different formats at any one time.

Switch games I will only buy if on the actual cart. so most Nintendo games and the likes of Cyberpunk (which I never got before) .
looks like the Switch 2 will become my new mainline console. While I use the Xbox to finish through the games i do own presently.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Still Buy An Xbox At Microsoft's 2025 Prices?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Considering I paid £455 for my X with Forza Horizon 5 Digital , if it was say back when i bought my series X a little under 18 months ago.
Would I have paid £499 for the console alone? probably not. But there's always deals on , even if its a free game , a bundle or a small discount . i say if you save , £20- £30 then yeah it's worth it.
And to be honest wait long enough and your grab a deal.
I do think the Series S prices have creeped up to high . £300 for a 512gb model is crazy, cause you know within a month your need extra storage being a digital console.
I paid £122 for my expansion card 1TB. now that makes owning a standard series S £422. you may as well bite the bullet on the series x at that point with a disc drive.

it actually makes the disc drive X look like a bargain, because you have a 4K bluray player. Onboard.
Now everyone likes a Movie and watching in 4K is reall nice.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Expect Xbox To Follow PlayStation With More Console Price Hikes?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

I reckon the S series might go up. it's the cheapest way to play current gen titles. Plus if they throw another £20/ e30 then i think it will still sell. As it will still be the cheapest option for current gen.

I think the X series will stay the same , as hiking it any more would completely halt any sales. especially that the next gen could be only two years away.
No ones gonna spend £500 on a console that will be replaced in two years.

Anyway in the UK there are numerous series S and X out in the WILDS SECOND HAND.

Just pop into any CEX and your see them . and they give a five year warranty on them now.

Re: BAFTA Announces List Of Top 21 Most Influential Games Ever

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Shenmue rightly deserved. It pioneered more open worlds in games, a true action RPG with some fine mechanics and firsts. Like the QTE .
There are so many games it has inspired. I doubt where have the Yakuza series as it is without Shenmue.
even the newer Xuan Wan Sword 7 is inspired by it.
Yu Suzuiki is a true pioneer of video gaming.

Super Mario bros of course inspired the many platformers in the past 40 years.
And the Ocarina of time , thrusting Link into a full blown 3d world , I loose count of the time spent on that game.

But as BAFTA are saying the most influential games of all time.
I cant believe the likes of David Braban and Ian Bell Elite game.
Way of the Exploding Fist pioneered modern fighters along with Yie Are Kung Fu.
And forget you NOT Jet Set Willy , Knightlore and JetPac

Re: Five Things An Xbox Handheld Needs To Include When It Releases

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Any handheld would have to support your library of owned games. But of course if you have many physical games then they would need some kind of workaround so that you could download to the handheld via the home console where the disc would provide the license. code which could be wirelessly transferred to your handheld device.
It could be possible. with some clever programming.
it would be a game changer that would entice more purchasers of such a handheld.
I rest my case Microsoft. Get it sorted.

Re: Talking Point: If The Next-Gen Xbox Is More 'PC-Like', Will You Still Buy It?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

No physical games basically means no , digital games are only worth a ten to twenty pounds to me. . I refuse to pay anymore. With a disc even if the game is part only on disc and the game installed. I have the license on the disc. I can play it when servers are down. and if they all get taken off line.

I haven't bought Avowed because of no physical. And i wont till its dirt cheap in sale. but by then i probably wont bother.
Looks like Ill be getting the new Switch. cause at least it will have a physical library.

Thing is PC gaming is cheaper because of all the deals and humble bundles and such like. I'm sure a more PC like Xbox wont see us getting more affordable games. Often PC versions of games are hugely discounted digitally long before the console versions are.
Maybe I'll just game on my old systems in the future and forget future generations.

It seems to many Microsoft titles are only digital now which I think looses them more sales then they think. Or if they do go physical many are produced in such low numbers that tracking down a copy physical is game in itself.

Re: Lots Of New Games Confirmed For Xbox At Nacon Connect 2025

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Robocop was at full price for ages, I waited ages before i could geta copy at a decent price. I remember everyone was raving about it. yes its on a big discount now digitally but then many games get crazy deals on the digital shop. And a sequel would only be made if the first one did decent numbers.
but if you haven't yet played Robo then i suggest everyone dive in.

Re: Physical Game Sales 'Collapsed' In The UK Last Year, Says New Report

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Well I buy mostly physical, and when it comes to walking into a shop and buying physical it's becoming problematic.
Game are more or less finished now.
CEX is only good for your used copies, with new releases used at crazy prices. Plus they don't get tracked. i suppose because that copy has been sold at new retail in the beginning.

So people do buy physical , just not new.
I went into Smyths toys and there selection is so so. but prices vary . some good deals at times and others at Full RRP.

I have this past year bought more physical games than in past years within a 3 month period.
but i use online sellers like The Game Collection and Bazaar Bazaar for imports . I even purchased a few limited run games. but i guess they don't count as their imports to.

I don't think physical is dead. its slower and many people import to find the right deals.

But then years ago game shops where everywhere . the likes of Game and Electronics boutique with their 2nd hand buy backs and return polices at the time drove out all the small independent shops. In London there's none left.

So yeah the big boys ruined the independents and once done they drove up there prices , changed their polices , and everyone hates them now.

Plus this year has been a funny year with new releases. , no big hitters till end of the year , as someone here else mentioned.

As far as physical declining , yes it has , modern gamers don't have that attachment to physical from a collectors point .

Will I buy into next gen if there's no Physical , basically NO .
I still buy DVD, Bluray, CD, and the resurgence of Vinyl is exciting .
Happy New Year all. and let the games flow.

Re: Ryse: Son Of Rome - The Story Behind This Classic Xbox One Launch Title

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Lovely game, one of the five reasons I bought my Xbox One.
Ryse
Recore
Forza Horizon 3 - the best of the series
Gears of War 4
Scalebound - well it was still coming when i bought my Xbox One.

I always say a console should have five games you want to purchase the system.

Must admit that was hard going when I bought my Series X.
I was under the Impression StarField was going to blow me away. Unfortunately it didn't.

Its hard to find five games exclusive to Series X/S that would sell me on the system. But I bought for the 4K upgrade .

But it looks like there's a few games coming like Avowed, South of Midnight which look se to put things right in my book anyhow.

Re: Phil Spencer Congratulates Tokyo Game Show Host On Doing 'An Amazing Job' For Xbox

KITG_Group_BrunoB

I for one enjoyed the show, there are many Xboxers , as i like to call them that joined Xbox after Sega went mulitplat, they like me did this to play Sega's Xbox games. As well as many other Japanese games.
For a show aimed at the Japanese market it was a good showcase. and for fans of Japanese games it was cool. m
just cause your not into Japanese games does not make it a bad show.
Not everyone is into constant FPS and multiplayer online Western games.

So well done Xbox for showcasing some cool Japanese games.

Re: Rumour: Xbox To Announce 'Big' Game For PS5 Next Week

KITG_Group_BrunoB

Maybe that's how they keep it all worth while. And help fund the next Xbox.

Some may remember during the 8bit and 16bit days that Sega licensed their games for the likes of the Zx Spectrum,C64,Amstrad cpc, Atari ST and Amiga.

It probably gave them loads of money which helped promote their own 8 bit and 16 bit consoles.

I always wondered if SEGA had done the same during the Dreamcast and Saturn era if Sega would be a hardware manufacturer today.

In the end money talks and if that means we get the next Xbox (I do prefer the controller) all well and be it. And all these games are releasing some time after being on the Xbox platform.

I reckon the next one might be Hellblade 2, as the original was on PS4.

Re: Xbox Attracts Controversy Over New McDonald's Ad On The Dashboard

KITG_Group_BrunoB

They should get rid of the adds in total, it takes up vital space , on XBOX one i could list in groups my various games.
Having six or so groups . on Series consoles I get two , because the rest is Microsoft trying to sell me stuff.
For gods sake I bought the console, bought the games. ruining my dashboard with pointless adds drives me mad.

Re: Talking Point: Is Local Co-Op On Xbox Still Important To You In 2024?

KITG_Group_BrunoB

I like local co op, of course its main era where the 90s and early 2000s . would be nice if more games offered it nowadays.
But then I try and avoid paying for online play. last time i did was a a couple years ago.
In truth local play is more better when offered now as most people have large screen TV's 50 inch or above.

back in the day we all used to huddle round a 20 inch tv trying to see our portioned five inches of play area. Haha
