My Xbox can't talk, should I return it?

I might actually buy Indy on Switch 2 (a lot of speculation in that phrase) but I'll absolutely partake in Avowed. Something about first person RPG's just makes sense for Xbox, to me.

I understand the thought process, but will most consumers? That remains to be seen, but I don't think so. Most people will just assume everything is coming, eventually. And those kinds of situations are self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm mutuals with someone on Twitter who has said since 2021 that Grounded is coming to Switch. I guess we'll find out relatively soon if that comes to fruition.

If it makes anyone here feel any better, they also said that Metroid and/or Donkey Kong could go to Xbox. They were not specific on which ones, how many, etc. but they said that around the same time as Grounded came up.

It answered questions without answering all of them. Not that I have any, but a lot of people will begin asking themselves why they should invest in an ecosystem with fewer exclusives than its competitors.

Never bought one or saw the appeal.

With all the rumors swirling, some of which were and still are dubious, I guess he kind of has to do that. In any case, we'll find out their plans soon enough.

@raftos you do have a point on a few aspects of your response. Especially since MS shifting to PC has forced Sony's hand (though their implementation is different) to put their exclusives on PC and this may lead them to do that with their exclusives (put some of them on competing consoles). And yes, companies generally care more about shareholders happiness when compared to customers'. That's just a fact.

Edit: I forgot that Sony has already put one game on competing consoles, it's just that the MLB forced them to.

Tbh, I would like to know which games are going to be multiplat before I feel too much. My initial reaction is that it's a bad idea to release any of their games on competing systems if they want to sell consoles and that they don't have a strong enough library of exclusives to gatekeep a few (Halo, Gears, Forza) but maybe there is something I don't know about the market that MS does.

Looking forward to this and maybe I'll actually play through it more than once.

Tbh, I trust Pure Xbox on reviews because they have less of an agenda than most sites. I know many people are inclined to trash this game but even its biggest detractors concede the story is really good.

I have a Switch but I won't play this there since I already beat it on Xbox. I guess MS wants to expand their audience and that's one way to do it, put certain exclusives on other consoles.

Probably about 50 from the Xbox 360 era. Xbox One on I have maybe 3.

A 3 Trillion valuation is very high, but not indicative of a company's profits.

That being said, it's a bad look for this news to coincide with layoffs. Whether intentional or not.

I get there are redundancies, but why is this affecting Zenimax? That feels off.

I want a shadow drop, like Hi-Fi Rush last year, but since they said "no" to that, I will watch to see Indy footage. Everything else is a bonus.

Avowed. Though I'm playing through the first Hellblade and 2 is sounding like a good proposition, atm.

MS doing this probably isn't a good idea for them to sell consoles. Not that some of their games wouldn't sell well on other devices, it's just I'm not sure why they would do that.

Then again, as I always say, they ARE a software company first...

Plus, let's not kid ourselves. Halo, Gears and Forza aren't going anywhere and those are their main IP.

Mostly Splatoon 3 and some Dishonored Definitive Edition.

Capcom is one third-party that's good about play anywhere. I got RE7 for Xbox and didn't realize that I could also play on PC if I wanted. That was pretty cool!

I appreciate the timeline, so I'll have a better idea of when to continue playing this game.

I stopped playing in light of the news that there will be major updates in the next year.

I would buy physical games if my kids were older, but I really can't justify it. But I've probably bought about 8 or 10 games, this year. On Xbox, alone.

I don't think it was a good idea on his part to post that. I like Starfield, but people who don't are just as valid as I am.

Mine was also Starfield. We're practically twins.

Lack of city maps was probably the most baffling part of this game, to me.

This also sort of makes me want to hold off on playing much more of the game. I'd rather play it with the updates to get the full experience, as it were.

188 hours this year. I rarely get to use my Xbox, and it shows. Lol

But 52 of those hours were on Starfield, so I have gotten some quality time in on that game.

Side note: How are people sharing the entire screen? Is that a PC-only thing?

So why was there never a review for this game?

I expect this to be Xbox exclusive. Major W for MS.

Jordan Peele and Kojima are involved, so I can't wait to see the game in action.

@x3King84 yes, exactly. They keep reducing points for each task. Might as well just do it in one fell swoop and get it over with.

This might be older news, but in the US, they changed the way you get points for doing a mobile search and got rid of the MS Edge points.

It's very easy for gamers to forget that MS is a software company, first. They keep doing software company things, so people shouldn't be surprised when they hear comments like these.
