Nice, been a while since a Gears came out and it's probably my favorite MS IP. No wonder, RE4 was one of my favorite GCN games and it was a massive influence on the franchise. I hope this rumor is true!

I know there is a precedent for existing franchises staying multiplat, but I always thought that strategy wasn't a good way to keep selling consoles.

I'm hopeful it will be a good game, though. The premise is interesting, sounds almost like Quake?

First game was pretty fun, but I can wait to play the sequel.

The surface maps are great. I played some of it last night and completed some missions that were a bit more obtuse prior to the update.

I sort of noticed the frame rate difference, but not as much as many people seem to...

Nice. I've been playing a lot of platformers, since I own DOOM 2016 and can play Eternal via Game Pass Core, I think it's time to rip and tear into those games.

And this will be the first game in the series designed with Series S/X in mind, so that should be cool.

City maps was what got me, so that is nice. Maybe on a replay, I can see the benefit of the land vehicles as well.

I gave it a 10. It's one of the best video game adaptations out there.

I've seen my friends play a bit of the original game, but want to experience it for myself. So, yes, I am!

I beat Ori and the Will of the Wisps, thanks to Game Pass Core availability. I also took a second look at Fallout 76, so the service has done me a few favors.

Deep Rock Galactic is one I've never heard of but looks fun. I can live with that addition.

I might try out some of the new quests if they're free but I'm pretty much done with Fallout 4.

I'm rarely one to complain about visuals, but that art style is not doing it for me. I'll keep an open mind as the gameplay looks fun enough to compensate.

I've liked the trailers out, so far. This only solidifies my confidence that it's going to turn out well. Can't wait to watch it!

Considering this IS Ubisoft...I'll wait for a sale before I bite.

Didn't beat the campaign, but multiplayer can be fun (even with sweaty opponents).

Spyro 4 but not Xbox exclusive.

Gears of War is pretty good. So is RDR.

I'm just waiting on city maps and new transportation modes to jump back in.

I played my Xbox about as much as normal, which is a few times per week. A lot of my play time is dependent on when my kids/wife are using the TV.

I'd do what I did with X1, just wait until the next console releases to buy a new Xbox. People say the jump between X1X and even XSX is pretty small. I noticed a huge jump between X1 and XSX because I skipped the 1X so I feel like waiting paid off. I doubt that will change this time around, either.

Plus, let's not kid ourselves, the games for the latest Xbox and PS have been lackluster. There haven't been many compelling reasons to buy them other than at this point companies have mostly moved on from the older systems. Xbox and PS mains are almost experiencing their Game Boy Color moment, albeit much more expensive...

The games are good. And quick resume is good.

I'm excited for another TV series based on a Microsoft property, this one looks better than Halo.

Primarily that MS seemed to care about creating exclusives in the traditional sense of the word. Not only that, but they seemed more adventurous with IP. There was a Banjo-Kazooie game, Perfect Dark, Kameo and Viva Piñata. While 2 of those weren't that good compared to their predecessors, they were still fun.

Then there was the third parties. Where we got amazing games like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. It was random exclusives like that that made me decide to stick with Xbox the generation succeeding the 360 (I had a Wii, PS3 and a 360 and ended up with way too big a backlog to manage, so I decided to scale back for my secondary consoles). Also, playing certain third-party games were just more enjoyable on 360 than PS3 for me.
And then X1 being a blunder at launch made me assume MS would double down on exclusives but they kind of didn't...

Long story short, it was a combination of the games and overall experience.

Anyway, tangent aside, that's why I really liked Xbox 360.

I actually do remember those talking very briefly popped its head up more than once around that time. Funny enough, PC was "dying" in 2004. Handheld gaming was dying in 2011. Everything is dying!!!
