@OldGamer999 Wishful thinking! I actually think it might be a Gears Collection on Xbox, PS5 and Switch 2 this year, and then Gears of War E-Day gets pushed back to late 2026 instead.

Fable and Gears for late 2026, put a focus on COD / Outer Worlds 2 and bringing Halo/Gears to PS5 and Switch 2 in late 2025. Wouldn't be surprised if that's how it goes.

@Kaloudz Yeah, it's more of an analysis - they're certainly bemoaning that the Xbox Series X version could look and perform better in their opinion, but they're also not saying that it's a waste of time or anything like that.

@Kaloudz Yeah, I agree. It's just the way these Digital Foundry reviews work though. Their whole deal is that they're hyper-focused on the technical details rather than the game itself.

@Ricky-Spanish It's primarily a battle royale where 100 players compete on an island until 1 person is left.

There are loads of other games inside of Fortnite these days though, like a Rock Band clone called Fortnite Festival, a LEGO game, a Rocket League clone, etc. Lots of games within a centralised hub.

I haven't bought it yet but I'm very tempted by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Played some of the trial and enjoyed the vibe.

Also planning to get Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake to play with the wife (she loves all of Josef Fares' other games, so let's see how this one goes down!).

@Nintendo4Sonic This is domination of a different kind. Releasing a game that immediately becomes THE top seller on multiple platforms is obviously a massive win for Xbox.

It doesn't sell Xbox consoles, but it puts a lot of money in Microsoft's pockets (and makes Xbox Game Pass look even more incredible).

I love that they're providing so much choice, but I also have no plans to unsubscribe from Game Pass anytime soon. It's off to a fantastic start in 2025 so far IMO.
