Re: Talking Point: Has This Week's ROG Xbox Ally News Sold You On The New Handheld?

F1at8mot0

I travel often for work, in doing so I’ve come to the conclusion that the original switch is too big to travel with. Taking a laptop size handheld out of my bag through security all the time is just not worth it. I’d rather travel with the old Vita or 3DS. But for those whose life that it fits into, I’m glad you’ll get to play Xbox and other stuff on the go.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 13-14)

F1at8mot0

I’ve been having trouble deciding what to really jump into next. So in the meantime I’ve been diving back into so comfort food games. So I’m working my way through the Gears of War remaster and Halo 2 in the Master Chief Collection. Those games are fun every time I go back to them. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: What's Been The High Point Of The Xbox Series X|S Generation So Far?

F1at8mot0

I guess I’d have to say Alan Wake 2 would be it. I really wanted the series x for Forza Motorsport. And that was a huge disappointment. Forza Horizon 4 and 5 were pretty fun but get stale quickly. And Halo was a major disappointment. I really like The Series X as a console. I love how fast it is and love the backwards compatibility. I really love to have consoles for interesting and good exclusives. And to be honest outside of Nintendo, nobody has delivered on that. After The Showcase though, I think I’ll feel better about it in the coming months.

Re: Forza Motorsport 'Update 6' Arrives Today, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

F1at8mot0

It’s such a let down that every game I’ve been excited for for this gen on Xbox has to go through several updates before it gets anywhere beyond aggressively average. Forza was the reason Picked up a Series x. And it’s still not even close to being any kind of fun. I can still go fire up Forza 3 or 4 on my 360 and have hours of fun. Motorsport just has no soul or personally at all. Sad…

Re: Here Are The Top 10 Xbox Games Of 2023 According To Metacritic

F1at8mot0

@GamingFan4Lyf I’ve grown tired of the Playstation exclusives as of late. I just don’t care about another Spider-Man game. I’ve also started having an issue with my hands and the dual Sense. It’s really starting to be painful if i play for more than an hour at a time. I miss the Dualshock. So now I’m just buying everything on my Xbox and will keep the PS5 for what few exclusives i find interesting. I still find all three systems providing something fun though.

Re: Poll: Will You Stay Subscribed To Xbox Game Pass After The Price Hike?

F1at8mot0

@GeeEssEff this is exactly how I feel. I haven’t hardly played my XSX at all this year. I won’t sub again until Forza Motorsport. And even then I’m only going to sub for a month to try it and if it’s great I’m just going to buy it and cancel again. I do have have a sub to PS + premium and ive found that enough for me.

Re: Poll: Do You Think The Xbox ActiBlizz Deal Will Still Go Ahead?

F1at8mot0

At this point who cares. Xbox has some serious problems outside of this deal. They can’t seem to ship any games at all from the studios they already own so why think they can manage another huge company like ABK. I’ve canceled game pass. As it’s just the same stale stuff that’s been on there from the beginning. I hope they get this thing turned around. I’ve owned every Xbox and I’m always interested in what they can bring to gaming, but it hasn’t been worth owning one since the 360. I really hope it gets better for the green team but it’s starting to get hard to keep waiting.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 6-7)

F1at8mot0

On Xbox I’m still working my way through Hi-Fi Rush. It’s still great. I’m also starting another play through of Enslaved Odyssey to the West. On PS5 I’m jumping between H Burning Shores and WRC Generations. And on Switch when I need something completely different I hop into Slay the Spire. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: Would You Like To See More 'Spin-Offs' From Xbox Game Studios?

F1at8mot0

How about any games at all from any of the Xbox studios Microsoft has. Anything…anyone…no…Just me? I’m loving Hi-Fi Rush and the Forza Horizon expansions. But what are all those studios Microsoft purchased actually doing? Hellblade 2? Fable? Anything at all new. I really love Game Pass and the Series x. But it’s time to start making some games and actually putting them out. Now we have rumors of half step consoles, when there hasn’t been a game yet that feels like it’s actually pushed these consoles. Gaming is in a strange place. I still love it. But i find myself shaking my head a lot these days.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 4-5)

F1at8mot0

This week and weekend ive been addicted to Hi-FI Rush and Age of Empires 2 on Game Pass. Rush is the best and most refreshing game that’s come out in a long time. And AoE2 is like putting on an old comfy pair of shoes. I played an obscene amount of it back on the day pc. And when i need a break I jump into P5 Royal. Game Pass is killing it right now.

Re: Soapbox: I Can't Wait For Forza Motorsport's Grand Return This Year On Xbox

F1at8mot0

I got a PS5 for GT7. I’ve put a lot of hours into it. But im here to say that it is a boring racing game with online play that is worse than Gran Tursimo Sport. (Which is still the better game). I grabbed a Series X for the Forza games and Game Pass. So far, Motorsport looks good but after not realy liking Motorsport since the 4th entry, I’m going into this one expecting nothing, getting nothing and then give them money anyway. Other than smaller games and indie’s, this generation of consoles on both sides has been largely disappointing so far. I guess we will see.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 17-18)

F1at8mot0

This week I’ve been sick of everthing else i was playing so I jumped back into my second play through of the Halo Infinite campaign. Its a nice thing to go back to. Ive also been staring to get some pretty long runs in Vampire Survivors. I think that might be my favorite game this year. Just a fun change of pace. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 5-6)

F1at8mot0

I started a second play through of the Halo Infinite campaign the other day. That game feels so good to play. I’ll also probably get in a few matches online. On PS5 im working my way through Gotham Knights. Its a fun game to dip in and out of and i find it a nice relaxing game thats not too complicated or systems heavy. Have a great weekend!

Re: Xbox Games With Gold For November 2022 Announced

F1at8mot0

I was planning on canceling Game Pass for the time being until something worth playing on Xbox comes out. I think the next time i sub will be when The new Forza Motorsport comes out. It is nice that its easy to bounce in and out when its worth it. So much to play elsewhere for now.

Re: Pick One: What's The Best Racing Series In Xbox History?

F1at8mot0

Ive loved entries in several series but never the whole series. I loved the first Horizon but the rest have been disappointing since. I loved TOCA race driver 2 on OG xbox but didn’t get into the rest of them. Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 were great but that series fizzled out as well. And Burnout 3 and Revenge and Paradise were the highlights of that series. Xbox has been a great place for racing games over the years. I hope some of these series can get back on track.

Re: Soapbox: Forza Horizon Is Spinning Its Wheels, So Let's Bring Back The Best Racer On Xbox

F1at8mot0

I feel the same way about everything Forza Horizon after 2. Since two they have all been missing some kind of magic that the first one had. I really liked PGR and would love to see it come back. If only to have something that might feel fresh again. And as far as the recent Hot Wheels expansion, its maybe the most boring bit of racing game I’ve ever played. Id rather replay Horizon 1 through again for third time than boot it up again.

Re: Talking Point: Did The Series X|S Bring You Back To Xbox? If So, How Come?

F1at8mot0

I had an original Xbox and then went to PS3. But eventually got a 360. Then I went to PS4 for most of that generation until right at the end and I picked up and OneX. I played the hell out of that thing. Then went to PS5 about a year after it came out. But then almost immediately picked up a Series X. I’d say the Series X was a thing that I wanted to have right away if only to be able to play my existing Xbox games better and load faster. It’s really the reason for the PS5 as well. They are both just better versions of the previous systems with the occasional new game thrown in. I’m glad I have both early on if only for the convenience of faster load times. But largely I could have skipped both for now.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 2-3)

F1at8mot0

I’ve been on vacation for a week. While I was gone I picked up Spec Ops the Line on the sale this week. I played it when it first came out but have been wanting to run through it again. I also have the disc of Forza Horizon 2 coming in the mail on Wednesday. So I’ll be having some older game fun this week once I’m back home. Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 21-22)

F1at8mot0

I’m taking a break from Xbox until my new Series X arrives. I used the hotstock app and was able to get my hands on one directly from Microsoft. It’s supposed to be delivered in the next week or so. Meanwhile Metroid Dread and Horizon Forbiden West are occupying my time until I can dive back into Halo Infinite and Horizon 5 with no loading times! I love my OneX but man it’s slow after using the PS5. Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 7-8)

F1at8mot0

I’ve been trying to get back into Horizon Forbidden West. But I think I’m going to be done with it. It’s just not holding my attention. I’m currently on hold for e box gaming until I can grab a Series X. I can’t handle the long load times anymore. But when I finally get it. I’m going to dive back into Halo Infinite again. And also get back into Forza Horizon 5. On Switch I’m currently trying to escape Hades. And I just started Metroid Dread. So I’ll be working on those next week as I travel for work. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 2-3)

F1at8mot0

I’m going to step away from PS5 for a while. GT7 has fell of a cliff for me. I’m going to keep working my way through Half-life 2 on XBOneX. I’ll also continue my career in F1 ‘21 on Game Pass. And When I need some calm fun puzzle solving I’ll finish the other half of Far: Lone Sails on Game Pass.
