Re: Friday The 13th Game Now Officially Offline A Year After Xbox Store Delisting

EvilSilentFrame

@Bionic-Spencer I played the last day but I wasn’t there at the end. I had to work the next day otherwise I would have been up playing till the servers shut off. I’m not a big fan of online games but there was just something different with this one. It would pull me in and the community that played was great too. Played games with some really fun people. So heart broken at the moment. I knew it was coming but it is what it is.

Re: Friday The 13th Game Now Officially Offline A Year After Xbox Store Delisting

EvilSilentFrame

I played this game on day one and I played on its final day. Yes, it was buggy. Yes, it had issues, but I had a blast playing it! So many fond memories playing this game. It wasn’t for everybody but I am so sad to see it go. It’s the same feeling when a loved one dies which is stupid because it’s just a game, but it’s how I’m feeling. Farewell F13. How I miss you already. 🥺

Re: Bloober Team Says It's Done Making 'Sh**ty Games' As It Prepares For Cronos: The New Dawn

EvilSilentFrame

Their games weren’t terrible. I could appreciate what they were trying to do. They are a young team with some good ideas. I think they nail the atmosphere really well. Where they lack is usually the story and combat. I see potential in this team. They tend to crank out games faster than a lot of other companies, if they take a little more time with some of these games to focus on combat and get a good story, they could have some pretty good games.

Re: Opinion: As The Dust Settles On PS5 Pro, I'm Still Glad Xbox Didn't Bother

EvilSilentFrame

I would agree with many things said in this article. I don’t think a pro system was needed this gen and this is not about bashing Sony. I’m too grown to be playing in the system wars. These are just my opinions. Visually there’s not much of a difference between the PS5 and the PS5 pro. It was different last gen after the consoles came out, many people were picking up 4K TVs. They wanted to see that higher resolution. There’s also not many games taking advantage of the pro system and then the 700 dollar price tag on top of that. The one thing I hope all console manufacturers get out of this is we don’t want to pay 700 for a console. Maybe it’ll deter them in the future from pricing a system that high.

Re: Review: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (Xbox) - Capcom Classic Gets No-Frills Upgrade

EvilSilentFrame

Not a glowing review but I’m looking forward to this very much. I know it’s not for everybody but I’m glad to hear the timer is still in there. Makes it more of a challenge. Yes, I would like players to have the option to turn it off, but maybe something like that can be updated in time. I loved the original and I’m excited to play this one.

The one thing I’m curious that wasn’t mentioned in the review was the voice acting. I loved the voice actor from the original, I would have liked to of known what they thought of this one.

Re: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Dev Doesn't Rule Out A Return To Xbox Game Pass

EvilSilentFrame

I think the game will return to gamepass. It has helped the game in terms of player count and giving players the opportunity to experience it. I’m not a fan of multiplayer games, but this is one I actually like. I’ll be okay because I own the game, and looking forward to the update coming soon. I hope the return to gamepass isn’t long and I wouldn’t mind if it came to PlayStations subscription service as well. The more players the better.

Re: Pick One: Which Dead Rising Game Is Your Favourite On Xbox?

EvilSilentFrame

@Ricky-Spanish what did you think of of the other three games? I will have to get back into 4. Maybe I’ll start it over and give it another go. What I wasn’t fond of in 4 from what I remember (and forgive me if I get some of this wrong, it’s been a long time) was it didn’t feel complete. The zombies looked pretty generic. The timer was gone so it was less strategic when saving survivors. I don’t remember having to bring the survivors to a “safe” zone. There weren’t any psychopaths. It just felt flat to me, but I’ll try it again. I’m itching to replay the first game again since seeing the trailer for the remaster so hopefully I can get into the fourth one.

Re: Pick One: Which Dead Rising Game Is Your Favourite On Xbox?

EvilSilentFrame

This is tough to pick. I LOVE the first three. If I have to put them in order, I would have to say 2, 1, and then 3, but that order can change on any given day. I also liked Off the Record, Case Zero, and Case West. Nice twist and additions to the story. I wasn’t a huge fan of 4. It felt incomplete and it’s the only game in the series I never completed. Maybe one day I will.

Re: Capcom Announces New Dead Rising Remaster, Likely Coming To Xbox Series X|S

EvilSilentFrame

Been busy this past week and then ran across this article. I was hoping for a full on remake of Dead Rising but I’ll take the remaster. I absolutely loved the first three games. They were a blast to play. They can do so much with this series. Glad to see they are giving it a second chance. I loved the original voice actor, we’ll see how well this new actor does but I’m looking forward to this one!

Re: Report Claims Xbox Is Planning More Cuts Following Studio Closures

EvilSilentFrame

I no longer think the heads at Xbox are making these decisions. Not that they themselves are innocent, but I really think it’s those in charge at MS calling these shots. Not even giving some of these studios time to showcase what they can do. It’s really sad. At this point, PlayStation needs to send Xbox a muffin basket as a thank you for distracting from their disaster of a weekend.

Re: Xbox Is Shutting Four Studios, Including Arkane Austin And Tango Gameworks

EvilSilentFrame

As an Xbox gamer, I cannot defend this decision. I was excited for their upcoming showcase, but it’s not going to matter how good that is. This decision to close these studios is going to overshadow that showcase for me. There was some serious talent in these studios. They needed to give them sometime and nurture their talents instead of shutting them down. Very sad and upset with Xbox at the moment.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 May Have Been 'Internally Delayed' At Capcom

EvilSilentFrame

@Banjo- I haven’t played Evil Within 2. I started the first one, then ran into family issues and stopped playing. Now I don’t remember much about it. I’ll have to try and restart it at some point.

I wouldn’t mind if it was more “open world” like a Silent Hill setting. Maybe it takes place in a town or a city but there’s still the tight spaces RE was known for.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of 7 or 8 either. 7 was too gory and 8 was too much action. I miss the slow paced horror elements in the older ones. I’ve enjoyed the remakes of 2 and 3. I have yet to play the remake of 4. I know I’ll like it, still upset they skipped over CV to make that one.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 May Have Been 'Internally Delayed' At Capcom

EvilSilentFrame

I wasn’t expecting RE 9 anytime soon. I’m expecting them to do another remake of some sort (hopefully CV) and then the announcement/release of RE 9. Not sure what to think about it being open world. I don’t know how this would work in RE. The best ones were in tight hallways and rooms to help create tension. Something like that could be done in an open world, but I think it could end up taking away. Either way, I’m looking forward to what they are doing next.

Re: Phil Spencer Celebrates 10 Years As Head Of Xbox This Weekend

EvilSilentFrame

I know there’s a lot of love/hate relationship with Phil but I don’t think he’s a bad guy. I think it’s a tougher position than most believe. All the decisions made for Xbox are not always his decisions. He unfortunately ends up being the punching bag for some of those decisions. I do think he means well and I do think at the end of the day he wants what’s best for the brand. Xbox just needs to find where it fits in with this ever changing market.

Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 Could Go Open World Thanks To Dragon's Dogma 2

EvilSilentFrame

Not sure how I feel about this. Love the RE games but I don’t think I want it open world, but maybe they are thinking something like Silent Hill where it takes place in a larger city, but the different buildings you have to go into have a bunch of narrow hallways and rooms. Something like that might work, but I’d rather they didn’t make it too large. They’ve been doing so well lately on the RE series.

Re: Jim Ryan Explains Why Sony Kept Refusing To Sign Xbox's Call Of Duty Offer

EvilSilentFrame

“the deal that was offered at a certain point in time may not have been the deal that was actually signed."

I didn’t follow the story as closely as others because I’m not a CoD fan and I don’t get into the whole fanboy console wars. I had heard Microsoft’s deal with PlayStation was to offer Activision games for the next ten years. That PlayStation wanted Zenimax games included with that? Again I didn’t follow this closely so I could be wrong, but if that was the case, PlayStation ended up with a worse deal with just securing CoD for the next ten years?
