@CallMeDuraSouka Its kinda funny and sad but if Phil didn't go on a massive spending spree buying up the industry Sony may not have gone as hard on spending themselves. Nearly everything wrong in gaming links back to MS in some way.

@ilyn Blade had a notable role in Deadpool & Wolverine. He's also been in many Marvel VG's including more recent Marvel games like MAU3 and now Marvel Tokon. He's hardly lesser known he's pretty damn popular.

Jesus christ. A Blade game is free money it would be a huge hit as he's a popular character, i mean just look at the hype he got for being in Marvel Tokon.

MS just quit seriously, sell all your studios and IP's and just go. Why anyone still supports and defends them still is a mystery.

@Banjo- Doubt R* will offer an unlocked framerate. They haven't even unlocked RDR2's framerate.

CP77 doesn't "mimic" 60fps it is 60fps on PS5 and SX and holds it most of the game.

I think DOA is what Helix is. At the very least it will cost the same but it will no doubt cost more.

Notice how the wording is "ports". There's a good chance its just the bog standard 360 versions hence why Xbox is not getting it as they already have it.

@AI-Generation As i said games are just more complex now and require time and money. Unless you want extreme crunch and rushed broken launches games are going to take longer and longer no matters whose making them. Its why remasters and remakes have been extremely common this Gen as they're easier, quicker and cheaper to do and break up the town time between big releases.

@AI-Generation The team that made Mario Odyssey just put out Donkey Kong one of the best games of last year. I can imagine their next game will be a 3D Mario game.

End of the day games take longer to make nowadays and Nintendo unless its a remake don't like repeating themselves with new games.

@Banjo- How exactly do they reach more players? Every 1st party game is already on PC. If anything Helix will just kill the hardware side even more as they are giving PC players even more reason to not buy an Xbox console while turning away all the console players who have no interest in spending 1K on a console. You're cheering on the death of Xbox you just don't know it.

@fatpunkslim Its funny you say that PS games aren't where they're used to be when Sony have had a GOTY nom every year for the past 10 years at the Game Awards and even won some of them. Also Saros and Ghost of Yotei came out in the past year and both are high quality and excellent. MS only sits higher in average now because they bought up half the industry, take away Activision and Bethesda and suddenly they drop by quite a bit.

@Banjo- Why do you lie to big up MS? MS has spent the entire generation backtracking. Asha has been backtracking the past year of Xbox choices. Fact is PC players weren't buying the games so Sony have pulled back to focus on PS. Maybe MS might sell consoles if they didn't cater to PC and now PS players, like come later this year the worst way to play Forza 6 will be on Xbox.

Of course DF would say this giving how PC centric they are. I think the main reason is PC players aren't buying the games, why waste money on porting when the PC playerbase won't buy them.

@Millionski I originally got my SS to play Xbox games as back in 2021 when i got it Xbox games weren't coming to PS5. Now until Asha says otherwise i will just wait and get games like Forza for my PS5 Pro as the jump in visuals is worth the wait. My SS is mostly used as a BC machine now and a Halo MCC machine.

@Millionski I'm happy to wait because it will play and look better on my PS5 Pro then on my Series S.

Can't wait for it to hit PS5 later this year.

@Simu001 GTA VI will be one of the biggest selling games ever made within less then a year and will no doubt have the gaming launch ever. No one in there right mind will try to launch along side it because its suicide.

@themightyant PS3 outsold the 360 by the end. It was close but Sony did beat MS that gen.

Its an interesting choice to price the next Xbox at near 1K when they can't even sell SS at a 3rd of that price. This console will be the final nail for Xbox consoles.

As i said if Jason says its true then true unless Sony say otherwise. He doesn't report things unless he's 100% certain.

Also you're really not going to like when the next Xbox doesn't support Steam and is very different to what Sarah Bond wanted. I think the PCXbox is looking less likely with this new leadership. Of course i could be wrong i'm not an expert 😉

@Coletrain and people will prefer buying a $600 PS6 over a $800+ PCXbox. MS haven't found the secret sauce the PCXbox is a last hail merry and giving the heavy rumours the PCXbox was Sarah Bond's thing there's a good chance MS might change course with it. Either way the PS6 will still do far better.

Ghost of Yotei? Helldivers 2? Returnal? Horizon FW? God of War Ragnarok?

Also Sony and Nintendo don't need MS but MS needs them. Its why the two former can do this while MS is stuck putting Halo on Playstation.

Well here's the thing you care more about Xbox then MS does.

Fact is Asha has said nothing. Oh sure she's put a ton of PR statements but its all been purposely written so it will appeal to everyone while not actually saying anything. Its been pretty much implied 3rd party was MS doing not Phil and well he's gone and MS has installed someone who does what they want without question. Wouldn't be shocked if the PCXbox is cancelled as well as that was Bond's child.

Had complete control with no Daddy MS behind me? Go full 3rd party, close down the console side and release an app that can be played anywhere called MS Gamepass that can be streamed or if the device supports it download the games to play natively. I mean at least two 3rds of what i said will happen anyway so might as well go all in now.

She's saying all the right things but that's the point of PR of course she's going to be saying the right things. Actions speak louder though and we all know she's just a yes woman to the real boss of MS gaming. I hope she proves doubters wrong though including myself but giving her background in AI and how much involved MS has become in its gaming side i don't have much hope.

Did the Series consoles launch out of the gate strong? It had no 1st party games and had to rely on Assassin's Creed to provide them something. Right out of the gate it had nothing of its own.

Will say Phil's commitment to BC is unmatched though. The fact most of the BC games look and play better is pretty incredible when he could have just brought them over unchanged and in a bare bones state. I also believe if Series wasn't so big on playing X1 games and such that Sony may not have supported PS4 games on the PS5, i do think Phil forced them to include it by having Series put a focus on it. I rarely play new games on my SS but BC games are always being played on it.

@Martsmall I never said they did. They own the film rights and that gives them a ton of leverage. As i said while we don't know what the deal exactly is it is heavily rumoured that the Spider-Man game licence might have been a result of letting Marvel put Spidey in the MCU. As for the game yes Sony own the IP of Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel can stop sales but they can't control where it goes. Its why Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions will most likely never see a re-release and its because Activision own that kinda off, they can't do jack with it but Marvel couldn't just decide to port it to new consoles. Its the joys of IP nightmares and how complicated they are. Basically the Sony Marvel games will only appear on Switch/Xbox if Sony want them too, Disney/Marvel can't force it.

@BacklogBrad IP laws are tricky. Marvel's Spider-Man/Wolverine are an original take created, funded and owned by Sony. At most Disney/Marvel can stop sales but they don't actually control where it goes. Again why do you think Marvel Ultimate Allience, Hulk Ultimate Destruction and such have never a release once Activision lost the rights. Anyway your argument falls apart in thinking Disney cares about going against Sony expecially when its heavily rumoured Sony got the game license in an exchange for letting Marvel use Spider-Man in film. Giving the massive sales of SM on PS i don't think Sony or Disney/Marvel care about supporting Old Yeller.

Oh yeah the PCXbox supporting Steam and such was Phil and Bond's dream. There's a good chance providing it was ever going to happen anyway (press X to doubt) that MS will not move forward in wanting to lose more money in giving Steam/Epic all the money instead of Windows

@BacklogBrad Wait till you find out Disney went to MS first for a Marvel deal.

Fun fact Sony own the Marvel's Spider-Man IP. Disney can take the Spider-Man IP elsewhere but not the one funded, created and owned by Sony. Also i expect Sony made sure as part of the deal they can't be forced into anything. Why do you think the Activision Marvel games haven't seen a re-release under Disney/Marvel? They don't actually own them that's why.
