Re: Amazon Adds 'Frequently Returned Item' Warning To Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller

Broosh

Today I saw a listing for a refurb Elite Series 2 for $50 at a local electronics store, case accessories and all! Almost jumped out the door, but then did some research and saw many mentioning analogue drift after less than 2 months of usage. I didn't expect them to use hall effect or anything, but I also didn't expect to see so many negative reviews mentioning analogue issues. Too bad.

Re: Bethesda's Rumoured Elder Scrolls IV Remake Could Shadow Drop On Xbox, It's Claimed

@Millionski I don't think the gameplay is too dated. Skyrim streamlined several systems, for example not needing to repair armor and weapons (which existed in Oblivion), but the gameplay is still very similar. I'd argue it has aged way better than Morrowind too, so a remaster/remake wouldn't need to make many adjustments to appeal to the modern Bethesda audience.

Re: Lenovo Accidentally Raises Hopes Of A Halo 5 PC Release

If Halo Studios actually ports Halo 5 to PC after all of this time (and after the oft-forgotten Halo 5 Forge Mode on Windows Store), they will have truly reached the point of desperation 😅 ...that being said it would be cool to have it on Steam nonetheless. The multiplayer is truly good, albeit a little overwhelming at first with all of the available weapons.

Re: Soapbox: Four Years On, I'm Already Nostalgic For The Early Xbox Series X|S Era

Broosh

I only got the Series S because my OG Xbox One was struggling to load games quickly, and trading it in ended up paying off half of a Series S which could run Halo Infinite at 60 FPS (versus the struggling 30 FPS Xbone lol). I'm happy enough with it, though it'll be my last Xbox for sure. Next year I'll build a new gaming PC to handle new releases moving forward.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Released One Of Its Best-Ever Exclusives 10 Years Ago Today

This was a fun romp that I played alongside Dead Rising 3 when I finally got an Xbone. The dialogue and NPC designs can be downright annoying, but the gameplay mechanics more than make up for it. One of the few times world traversal is a lot of fun without any type of vehicle or superpower (even though it can be argued the looney toons physics are a form of superpower 🤔).

Re: Xbox Game Pass Gets Price Increases And New 'Standard' Subscription Tier

Broosh

I used to just renew Game Pass the few times a year they'd offer 3 months for $1. Now that they don't do that anymore for existing users, I only renew GP for a month to try out a new game or two that gets added that I may not want to buy immediately. As it stands, I'll renew for a month in November for MS Flight Sim 2024.

Re: Pick One: Which Dead Rising Game Is Your Favourite On Xbox?

Broosh

The first game is legendary, warts and all. While I enjoy the other entries (yes, even 4 to a certain degree), they never beat out Frank West at Willamette Parkview Mall. I'm very pumped for the Deluxe Remaster and hopefully this leads to a proper return for the series!

Re: Talking Point: What Convinced You To Pick Xbox In The First Place?

Broosh

Dead Rising! Right around the time I got a copy of "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks, I watched a friend play Dead Rising on their new Xbox 360. The idea of a zombie game where you're trapped in a mall using everything that isn't nailed down as a weapon was exciting. Still a favorite of mine to this day!

Re: Xbox's New 'This Is Halo' Trailer Summarises 343's Journey With Halo Infinite

Broosh

I've stuck with this game since the early flighting stages, and boy has it had its highs and lows. At this rate it almost feels more divisive than Halo 4 or Reach, but I still enjoy my time with it. If only it had launched in the state it's in now, and perhaps delivered on some early promises like assassinations in multiplayer or split screen campaign, it could have been more unanimously praised. 343i has had a lot stacked against them, but I'm glad they didn't get shut down or give up.
