I want a campaign dlc ! Also why can’t you upgrade your armor adding an extra shield or abilities to your shied like something that bounces bullets back to the enemies ..

Season 3 was easily the best the game has been since it first launched. Looking forward to the new season and hopefully the content keeps on coming! Still some of the best gunplay in the business!

@TheSimulator Umm you can do that with a pickup etc.
I think you may a bit out of the loop, there's loads of armours cosmetic wise. What your saying hasn't been in any Halo from the start.

@TheSimulator you've lost me. Anyway. The MP is the best thing about the game currently and the excellent forge and community. I don't think campaign stuff is coming for years.

Infection needs to be a staple matchmaking mode.

@InterceptorAlpha true their take on it does look good. The Infected Ai is a cool touch. Seems they may have nailed it. Need to see the trailer now I'm home!

Can someone tell me if the Bandit Rifle made it into the campaign. I couldn't find a clear answer around the webs.

I just wish they'd finally "unleash" local splitscreen multi-player that doesn't require every person to enter a separate LIVE account. There's no reason other than greed and control why the latest Halo on the most advanced XBox hardware and the biggest displays in the history of the hobby doesn't have basic features that even Combat Evolved on the original XBox managed to excel at.

@AtlanteanMan Agreed. Annoying as hell. I just made a bunch of free accounts. Thankfully they can still play online.

@UnusedBabyWipes No it did not, nor did any of the added MP equipment such as shroud screen.

Hyped for season 4! Should be interesting to see where we go with season 5.

@TheSimulator umm disagree completely. That's not what the game needs at all. And I don't think the fans want that. Watch the new trailer. Looks fantastic.

@AtlanteanMan that's a bit specific. I play in my flat. I play alone or online with friends.

@Ep_13 It was a standard issue feature of not only Halo but all multiplayer-capable games up until online functionality became a means for "AAA" developers to gate and control players' experiences after the initial point of sale. Way too many modern business models have become dictated by the motto, "Any time players are offline is time we can't control them or gouge them for additional $$$", and over time way too many gamers have become conditioned to just bend over and take it.

Look at the hot, unfinished, bug-laden messes that so many recent "AAA" releases...including Halo Infinite...have been; the reason is as simple as corporate priorities and expectations that consumers will just keep shelling out the money for them anyway. It's not "specific" at all to request local splitscreen; to many of us who played OG Halo and Halo 2 especially, the camaraderie and face-to-face reactions of friends and family around the living room were what MADE the franchise so great to begin with; not everyone prefers to play online, believe it or not.

Upgrade your armor shield all the way and then upgrade the drop wall all the way. Together they make you decently tanky.

@Utena-mobile yea that’s true just not a fan of the shield to drop with the style I play … shoot even a call for so odst help would be a nice change lol idk just thinking outside the box which is what halo needs even if it doesn’t implement it

@TheSimulator Yeah, Halo should continue to expand on what makes it unique instead of copying what other shooters are doing. At least we still have the crazy driving physics. lol.

I have a wife and a small flat, no way am I playing local games in a small box room that is our office. Online is far far more popular. I was glad they stopped local coop split screen if it meant getting the game out and in a good shape and they did, it reviewed well.
What they need now is a steady flow of content and that is coming, the last few updates have been awesome.

@AtlanteanMan Also Halo has a tiny store and MT's are very low and don't affect game play at all. I use the Battle Pass as you can earn that back each 3 months. I've not purchased cosmetics, people like them and they support the devs. Halo's shop is also far less aggressive then say COD which I play too. I also play BF2042 and the store doesn't pop at all. Occasionally and advert on loading the game, that's it. So I don't get the aggressive nature of MT's being present at all currently.
COD is probably the worst. Also I have the BP for BF 2042 earnt by completing the other one, was cool.

@Ep_13 In the end, it's all about having options. It used to be that we had the option to choose to play locally or online; it was the best of both worlds for everyone. If you were having friends over and wanted to have something to play around the TV, it was there, and online was always there whenever you wanted to do that (or your living situation necessitated it).

Options are a positive thing for consumers; when companies deliberately remove them or make them more difficult to enjoy in order to force consumers to go with a specific direction where they can continually control their experiences and/or exploit them for additional money after the initial point of sale, that's not good business practice, it's just pure greed. And that goes for 2023 or any other year.

@AtlanteanMan true, have a heart. I'm an older gamer now, so Online and privacy in my own smaller home is essential, it's where Xbox thrives for me, is the Online community.

@Ep_13 not everyone lives alone. some people have actual friends that visit occasionally.

@PeteyPiranha of course. But play with them online easier and more convenient. It's cool I get it. But when you look at the game as a whole it's the one thing that would go first if you had to make cut backs basically. That's all. It sucks but it was the right call for me. Local coop isn't a massive deal I don't think.
