@Stocksy Yeah I have them all on disc as well apart from FH5 since MS would rather I rent it through GP.

I believe with 4 at least it is 'playable' via just disc but a large amount amount of textures and the like won't be there I believe.

@Stocksy It technically did yes but considering it was a game at over 100gb they only put like 27gb on 1 disc (did not even fill the disc!) so you had to download the rest. They could have put 2 discs in there (Rockstar did with GTA5 Series X release) but nope.

Forza Horizon 5? Halo Infinite campaign? Any other first party game where Microsoft did not care enough to even put the game on the disc? Would be nice.

Would like a physical version of Psychonauts 2 or Battletoads.

Would give it an A, not perfect (that would be an S in the poll) but lots of exclusive games, even this year with full Grounded release, some new and unique looking smaller scale tiles (As Dusk Falls looks fab).

Forza looks phenomenal, Starfield genuinely blew me away, Redfall looks a lot of fun.

And that's without what is going to be the defacto game of the year Warhammer 40K Darktide not making an appearance.

Dang, was really, really hoping for a Psychonauts 2 physical release. Only chance since Xbox don't give a damn about physical releases anymore. Can but hope.

Unless it is that remaster but finished I can't see a reason to play this, it has aged horribly. An upscale, full modern controls and tolerable framerate would be the minimum required.

The way Perfect Dark was done is the ideal.

Campaign was about 26gb when I looked on preload for GamePass and they couldn't fit that on the disc? Even with a day 1 patch there is no excuse.

Poor from Xbox but not unexpected, honestly don't know why they bother with discs if they are gonna half ass it.

@Richnj depends on the 3rd party exclusive. PlayStation has the Persona games which are big movers, as are Falcolm games which has a very loyal fan base.

If Xbox got say Dragon Quest XII then that would be a massive jolt for Xbox on Japan. That's a series people will buy a console for.

Don't usually buy digital games but mighty tempted by the Necromunda game, know it had a mixed reception but slowly getting into GW properties.

@antstephenson Why would I check social media? There is anonymity there (which we must keep), we don't know if the people sending the racist messages are even from this country or bots. If 100 people send something abhorrent online, that is going to be amplified so people think it's far more common occurrence than is reality. You see it time and again.

We will, sadly, never stamp it out because you can't police thought, you can't police an environment someone is brought up in. You can try your best in schools but once a kid gets home that's it.

I think comparisons with other countries teams is apt here, if Xbox partnered with Italy for example (or Argentina) you wouldn't likely say the same thing about them despite issues being much more of, well, an issue there.

@antstephenson Toxicity around England fans? Where did you conjure that up from? You're examples are a typical media tactic of taking an extreme minority and amplifying that to justify hate for England fans and claim there is a problem.

Seen nothing toxic this year from them. Sure there was the false racist narratives because fans booed a political gesture which kept getting regurgitated (with nice guy Gareth talking down to fans not helping) but apart from that?

No violence (see France for that), no real homophobia, no racism at grounds outside an extreme idiotic minority. Italy has more of an issue with racism in their club level and they haven't done anything about.

The morons who tried to get tickets to the London final, London hosts a major international final like that with fans (though no capacity) after well over a year of people being stuck inside and with England finally making a final after 55 years? You could see it coming from a mile away.

@John117 I can understand that line of thinking for sure. Was thinking more it being a horror title and there being not much else in October to my knowledge.

If it is still coming then October makes sense as there isn't really a big game pass game for that month bar B4B but that has a very different appeal and audience.

Does look fab though, would definitely get it it was available but I'm struggling enough as it is to get a hold of a Series X regular console.

Looking really, really good. Not been a fan of I&Fs past games as the Steamworld games never clicked but this would be right up there if it gets a physical release.

@K1LLEGAL 'The new Flight Sim/Forza boxes are a step in the right direction though.'

Actually the Flight Sim box art and case is still the same as other Series X games, the new design I saw (and was reported here) is not out there yet or is only a placeholder.

Unless of course it is out there and I got the old style.

This is pretty cool, I'm a big Korn fan but don't but don't have the spare cash to splash out on something like this.

@JayJ Still going strong yes, their last album The Nothing was fab, they haven't had a weak album since the extremely mixed reception of Path of Totality though I liked it's massive risk taking.

Only one band member change (an upgrade) as well which is quite something for a band going 28 years.

As someone who has the physical version pre-ordered I am glad about the delay for it if it means they get the updated version on disc.

I really like it, simple yet effective, reminds of of PC games of old that came in DVD cases back when they did (the good ol' days).

Gives more space for the art and at least gets rid of the stupid bottom green section I've seen on some games.

So stunning and brave to reveal something like this in an environment where people can't share honest opinions for fear of a lynching for wrongthink.

@Broosh pretty sure that there was a real time mode of sorts in the first game back on 360 but everyone hated it and we've heard nowt since.

I would like that option as well tbh as I'm not the most into the tactical side but love everything else about it. I know there Mutant League Football but it ain't quite the same.

Never understood why they'd keep a sports license like MLB exclusive to one console. All the major sports and American football are multi platform to appeal to as many as possible. Sony must've paid quite a bit for exclusivity over a fair period.

The Psychonauts 2 prediction is an interesting one, still need to play 1 at some point.

Few of mine are:

• Starfield to release in the Autumn and be a Series X console exclusive
• Virtua Fighter 6 announced as a Series X exclusive
• Microsoft acquire a Japanese developer but shock everyone by purchasing Konami with the reveal of a MGS remake and a new Castlevania
• To appeal to a younger market Microsoft announce Xbox Kart made by Sumo Digital

None of those I expect to in any way shape up (apart from Starfield) but a man can hope.

Looks good, would like to play but how related is the first game? Can't play it since it isn't on any console and don't like jumping in unless it's a completely standalone experience.

Much as I love the games I'm happy with the 5 Banjo games we have.

If there isn't a genuine reason or drive to make a new one then just leave it imo.

If Microsoft were gonna bring back another platformer would honestly prefer Blinx.

I am gonna buy it on Switch because it's physical, had the LE pre-ordered since it was announced. Was gonna get it on XO/SX as well since better performance but oh well.

@UltimateOtaku91 It's funny because the people who rightly call out politicians for saying moronic things like 'videogames cause violence / shootings' are the quickest to jump on the 'ban this filth' when it comes to these games because it offends them. Some even make the non-existent link to the real harmful stuff. One rule eh?

@nessisonett A critique that still actually sexualises actual children. There's a reason there is almost universal hate for that show which in these days is unheard of given how every piece of media seems to be at least partly divisive. Even people who support the right to make loli and shota despise that filth like I do.

@KelticDevil I agree that these companies can allow whatever they want on their platforms, never argued against that and never will, it's just rank hypocrisy from Playstation and Microsoft when they allow so many games that glorify murder, torture and extreme violence (the American way) but when an image of a fictional completely unrealistic hyperstylised anime girl is on screen that is the tipping point. God bless Nintendo.

Also doesn't help when these companies change their rules on a whim like Playstation did in effect killing the Senran Kagura series.

@KelticDevil This game isn't sexualising children though, they are fictional and look nothing like actual children, they are hyper stylised as us just about every anime form is. Age rating boards, lawmakers gave zero isuues with these games and rate them accordingly.

If you want a piece of media that actually sexualises children try that horrid Cuties show on Netflix which you can watch on your Xbox.

@nessisonett Except that reason has been debunked already with DOA X3, when it was rerelased with new girls Sony heavily censored parts of it yet all character look and are well over 18.

I was gonna get a Series X because I foolishly thought Microsoft were open minded and would let games be rated by the rating boards and let that be it. Sad to see this direction but I should not have expected anymore from an American company.

Astonishing how Nintendo of all companies are now the bastion of allowing creative freedom to remain intact.
