Here's a little holiday 2020 present courtesy of GSC Game World and IGN! The video above showcases our first in-engine look at the survival horror FPS sequel S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, due for release in 2021.
The game was previously revealed back at the Xbox Games Showcase in July, where it was described as featuring one of the biggest open-worlds to date, filled with radiation, mutants, and anomalies."
"S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 is a unique blend of FPS, immersive sim and horror with a really thick atmosphere. One of the biggest open-worlds to date is yours to explore — along with an epic branching story with multiple endings."
There's no official release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as of yet, but we do know that it'll be a console launch exclusive for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (also coming to PC), and will be included day one with Xbox Game Pass.
Here's a little bit of blurb from IGN about the teaser trailer:
Get your first in-engine look at the first-person sequel S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and its Zone through the eyes of its main protagonist, Skif. As developer GSC Game World puts it, this teaser represents "how the game actually feels: fast-paced change of scenery, ominous landscapes and the ever-present feeling of an inevitable danger accompanied by a barely-distinguishable guitar soundtrack." S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is due for release at some point in 2021 on Xbox Series X|S (day one on Xbox Game Pass) and PC.

Looks impressive - hopefully the final product and Series X version looks as impressive when it releases...
Fed up of seeing 'in-engine' footage and the game looks a generation or two behind when the game actually releases!!
Looks surprisingly good, will defo be a game il be playing day 1
Remember, in engine is NOT in game and will likely look better than the final product. Remember the original Halo Infinite in engine announcement? So this non exclusive multiplat is still hidden in smoke and mirrors.
Will be buying on Steam of course, as PC is the best place to play games with making compromises, as I loved the previous entry. Jank and all.
Beyond hyped for this one, the original games are a highlight of that era of PC gaming. Metro has somewhat sated my appetite, especially the excellent Exodus, but it’s great to see this series back too.
I so want to play this.

Looks good, but I never pay much attention to 'in-engine'.
Gameplay is what we need to see to judge graphical quality.
Looks good, would like to play but how related is the first game? Can't play it since it isn't on any console and don't like jumping in unless it's a completely standalone experience.
