Re: Xbox Leaders Outline Five 'Realities' That Will Be Addressed Over The Next 100 Days

“We are currently unable to make as many consoles as players want to buy, and we need a new business model and partnerships for hardware as we remain committed to Helix.”

Well that’s a load of horse crap!!!! You can’t even sell what you have made , never mind have an excess. How can she even begin to claim they can’t make enough consoles that people want to buy???

What is she smoking?

Re: Asha Sharma Comments On Xbox Revenue Loss For Q3 2026

BaldB3lper78

I can’t stop laughing at the mention of the game pass price reduction impact. It only came in , what? a few weeks ago. If that had an impact and they are mentioning it, is laughable. Clutching at straws.

I’ve liked was Sharma has said so far, but I’m also conscious that Matt Booty is still there and he has say alongside the now gone Bond may times and not delivered. So I’m far from convinced.

If Xbox want to grab fans to use Xbox as their number one console, something costing £1200 isn’t going to be the answer.

Sadly, even though the ‘everything is an Xbox’ campaign has been killed , I can’t see how else they will keep the ecosystem user numbers game going.

Re: Reaction: Xbox Is Changing For The Better, And Now Microsoft Needs To Be Consistent

BaldB3lper78

We are hearing positive things from Xbox right now buts it way too early to even suggest it’s changing for the better. We have heard Booty, Spencer and Bond say things that sounded great and then they turned out to be nothing more than lip service.

So whilst it sounds good - I’m cautiously reserving judgement to see how things pan out in reality. A console over £1k is never going to have mass appeal. That equation will need to be looked at if Xbox really wants to bounce back and we need something better than Rog Ally handhelds.

@FraserG A really engaging post Fraser. I think that transparency is one of the big ones.

What is biggest out of all this though in my opinion is that gaming thrives when all brands are at their strongest. A strong Xbox, a strong PlayStation and strong Nintendo are what is needed. When any one of them falls, it helps no one.

Competition breeds success and I hope Xbox will focus on the hardware again and making sure its offering is competitive.

Hopefully we will get some great games and plenty of day one stuff on Game Pass. I'm really looking forward to Forza Horizon 6 as I love those games.
I am also pretty sure that they will announce the new Xbox. In the sense of it having a name and some confirmed specs. I 100% expect this but then Xbox re good at raising expectations and then crushing them.
Maybe some more backward compatible games and remasters galore?

Game Pass via cloud on Switch 2 would also shake the foundations! Won't happen of course.

I just hope Xbox celebrate well and try not to be continually ambiguous.

Re: 'Nintendo Buying Xbox' Begins Trending After Hoax Goes Viral On Social Media

BaldB3lper78

It’s amazing how gullible people are with these hoaxes tbh!

As for it ever happening either way round, I can’t see it at all unless gaming really does fall off a huge precipice in the near future.

I could imagine Game Pass coming to Switch, even just the cloud version though - that would be so easy to implement and would rocket revenue for Xbox. That would be cool. But that’s probably just a Mario pipe dream as well.

Re: Xbox & Microsoft Dominate The List Of 'Most Covered' Gaming Companies In 2025

BaldB3lper78

The movement of games from Xbox to PS5 may have been positive for PS5 gamers, but not for Xbox gamers. Exclusives are now lost to Xbox and even the next box will li, ey be very niche and generate very little revenue.
For Microsoft, its possible to argue that becoming a 3rd party publisher is good for them financially, but for Xbox fans, its almost impossible to see the last year or even the past 5 as massively positive.

The sad fact is, that Xbox is changing the way people play games and that means fewer and fewer will be playing on Xbox anymore.

Re: Talking Point: How Much Time Have You Spent Gaming On Xbox Consoles This Year?

BaldB3lper78

Whilst people are still gaming Xbox games, the harsh reality is that, like me, the majority are o ky doing so through cloud or PC. Xbox could make the most powerful console/PC hybrid, whatever never and still isn’t going to be a mass market piece of hardware.

They have irretrievably lost so much trust. Xbox will still make money , but its hardware days of making the money ate dead.

Whilst ever GPU remains part of my mobile phone contract , I’ll play Xbox through cloud on my iPad Pro, but once that ends, I see no reason to be part of its ecosystem.

Which saddens me but it’s what Xbox is doing to loyal fans.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Had No Black Friday Deals, So They Lost To A Console We've Never Heard Of (US)

BaldB3lper78

I’m not even sure they care about the future that much anymore. They are hardly pushing the Rog Ally and X very hard - it’s sold out which suggests it’s doing well but most retailers I’ve spoken to as I hold an interest in the X model have all said the same - don’t know when it’s coming back if at all

If that’s the sign of what the next Xbox will be and how it will be marketed, I fear that they really have just given all in to the 3rd party side of things now and the next box will be incredibly expensive and very niche.

All written on my Xbox!

Re: The ROG Xbox Ally Has Just Received Its First Major Discount

BaldB3lper78

@FraserG It’s so sad that the X version is so hard to find in the UK. I’ve spoken to numerous retailers in the UK and it’s worrying to be hit with the same answer all the time - we don’t know when or even IF we will get any more stock of the Xbox Ally X.
It seems the communication on this matter is also really poor.
