Last week, we obviously got the announcement that Xbox was putting time limits on cloud gaming for all Game Pass users from November onwards, although it turns out a few lucky people are excluded from those restrictions.
Emails were sent out over the weekend to Xbox Game Pass subscribers in the likes of Australia, Germany, Brazil and other countries explaining that as long as they remained an auto-recurring Game Pass member, they wouldn't have to deal with time limits.
Here's an example of one, along with confirmation of specific countries that are getting the email:
It seems that regional laws and restrictions are preventing Xbox from applying these time limits to existing members in certain countries, but that's not the case in the likes of the UK, the US, Canada and many other regions.
Wherever you may be located, it's worth checking your emails to see which version you got - there's an outside chance you may not have to deal with time limits at all! For the majority of us though, these limits will become the new norm.
