I would like a full 180 and a real Xbox console next generation and totally exclusive, I like those days.

And even if you were just a PS player it would be good competition for Sony and make them work harder for gamers cash.

Yep XBOX hardware future is a bit different and I’m definitely not convinced at the moment.
I almost think Helix is the middle ground to keep some sort of XBOX hardware alive and maybe even game pass, until they can become just a publisher.

It’s as if the gaming industry feel the need or desire to sell us new hardware.

Then moan they make no profit on new hardware for nearly the entire generation.

I still believe they make money on hardware day one and that is why they are so keen to give us new hardware.

Why bother with new hardware if you make no profit. Continue to support existing hardware with more and better games and services and make the profit there.

I think nowadays the industry is very corrupt and full of lies most of the time.

I think it was a rumour about PS6 it was on a few sites, not sure.
However I bet they are both thinking that.
Next gen will be a hard sell though, if the current climate continues.

I say go for Pro specs with PSSR 2.0 as a main stream console, which will bring the cost down maybe to £600 ish.

Diminishing returns are getting so evident and cross generation games don’t help.

I read an article the other day about PS6 that Sony are considering specification reductions to reduce cost.

Why XBOX dress this up with the word innovation, it crap wording.

It means lower the spec to keep the cost down.

Next gen is going to be a very hard sell for both Xbox and PS. We already have great graphics etc and diminishing returns will be very evident and of even more cross generation games than this generation.

For me the PS5 Pro now that PSSR 2.0 is running is about as far as they need to go for the next 5 years at least.

Remember all those extra graphics and textures and detail add to the cost of the game development and time, and as we know that is already in a terrible way.

They won’t go exclusive or maybe a timed exclusive.
When you sell 5 million plus with FH5 on PS beating both Sony studios sales for Astro Bot and more recently Ghost of Yotei in sales on a PS console, especially of a game that has already been made for Xbox and PC and the return on investment is massive.

Why would you as now a main publisher and business turn that money down.

They are now a massive publisher that has this probably annoying attachment to XBOX hardware and also maybe game pass that they need to sort of keep alive for now, hence Helix.

I’m just at the beginning and let loose to explore and started some races.

I really hope Asha has taken note of the quality of this game and the 92% score and how well it has been received and the increase UK XBOX console sales by about 12%.
And going forward all XBOX studio games are of this top tier quality.

Yep it would have been great to have had a series x pro.
But for me it’s Sonys own PSSR 2.0 upscaling that has set it apart.
Console FSR seems to be terrible for shimmering and artefacts.

Yep Sony got going out the gate especially the first 2 years, then they got caught up with that weak year and GAAS and still haven’t totally recovered.
About year 3 and 4 of the PS5 is when XBOX could have also had a chance of striking, but they totally missed the chance, with no console marketing and PR and under achieving games. Followed by sort of going multi platform and saying everything is an XBOX.

If ever a trillion dolllar company had a chance of missed opportunity it is Microsoft with XBOX.

Under the right leadership and with the Xbox consoles at the right price and with all those studios to make exclusive games as long as they are good as FH6 92% meta big AAA.
And some real marketing and PR.

Then they could lead a full frontal assault. 😊

Well it’s £49.99 to buy the game which is a good price for nowadays.
It’s not the £69.99 for wolverine
Or £74.99 for Mario kart world.

Don’t need early access anyway. Also will wait for reviews on this one, especially as September is getting stupidly stacked and we not had the Xbox showcase yet.

A lot of games in September will miss out or some will wait for the Christmas price reduction.

That order all makes sense and suits me.

Not sure there really is a need for this legends release or remake.
Plays great as it is. Waste of time.

No issues at all yet and using quick resume feature.
Being honest most of these game issues I never get.
The main ones I did get were starfield crashes back in the day.

Just bring it on.

Well it seems to do it for me and the games I mentioned.

QR never seems to let me down and being using it with FH6.

I jump from FH6 to Pragmata to Doom in seconds exactly where I left off.

And soon to be adding Halo and AC black flag remake.

Five games back and forth in seconds exactly where I left off.
Series X a feature for gamers and should be kept going forward with Helix.

Makes PS5 and Switch 2 look a bit old fashioned 🤣

I think of course Halo and Gears and maybe a few surprises.
Some Fable game play and maybe a mention of FH6 first DLC. And of course the PS5 release date.
Maybe a small game shadow drop.

Most interesting will be the multi platform stance.

My partners son has a PS5 Pro, last night he rang me as he wanted an Xbox as well, I said why, he replied he had been playing FH6 round his girlfriends on her brothers series x.

After a few minutes, I remembered it was coming to PS5, so of course he is now going to wait.

He is 25 and works and would have a good person to get into the Xbox ecosystem system.

XBOX exclusive games sell consoles and a console sale could sell a game pass, and you missed one last night, well it would have been purchased today, but there you go.

Totally a smart idea and agree from a business strategy, especially if it launches day and date on PS5. There could be a good few million sales on the PS5 especially if it does as well as FH5.
And launching away from GTA6 especially on PS5 is the right thing to do.
Also PS5 is getting Halo day and date and probably FH6 in September and COD October.
It’s a clever business move.

I voted about the same, if exclusives don’t change then not much will really change overall.
She has been a good PR so far, but it will be seen through if much doesn’t really change in time.

I agree with most on here XBOX and especially the Xbox360 was built on amazing exclusivity and second and third party exclusives.
Also Xbox studio AAA bangers being exclusive.

However I don’t think they will go back to exclusives as I can’t see the new Helix selling enough to enable enough of a return on invest for exclusive XBOX games.

With the xbox360 they sold about 85 million and game development was cheaper then and the Xbox console user base was high.

Not chance of seeing either of them.

Price is so important, look at the PS5 sales slump last month, will be interesting to see May sale numbers.

I think they are going to need to change something or next generation could be the biggest flop in history.
Don’t forget we will probably also have cross generation most of next generation and diminishing returns will be higher as well.

I used to do that last gen but not this gen.

Anything 30fps is absolutely dire to me no matter what the console is or make etc.

I will never touch a 30fps game now.

Well it’s top on Meta 91 score wise for the year so far, what could beat it.

I think maybe only GTA6
I think say Fable and wolverine will be high 80’s.

If Nintendo shock us with a big AAA this year like a new Mario 3d then, that may beat it. Mario Odyssey is at 97.

Just imagine through the GTA6 PS6 or Helix version pure smooth 60FPS, more details and far better ray tracing.
And every bug gone and improvements all made.
Seems a better bet to wait for next generation GTA6.

I may be wrong but I think the game may only be 30fps on base consoles.
I’m sure I read that in here.
Maybe Pro can get 60FPS if true.

I think they need a show case like Sony and XBOX.
Second half of the year seems quiet for the big N and a good showcase with some big N AAA games would do them good.
Switch 2 seems a bit light yep Yoshi, Starfox and Splatoon raiders are filler games to me and not big Nintendo AAA games.

That is one attack strategy that maybe Sony have not thought of.

Make a PC HYBRID that plays all PS games old and new and the PC part plays PC games and of course can have gamepass as well.
Fight fire with fire.

I think you are right, with the costs as they are now and who now’s what the PS6 will cost and the continuing diminishing returns of each generation.
And probably cross generation games that may go on all next generation.

Next generation is gonna be a hard sell.

It’s is up to Xbox now, they can go exclusive on Xbox consoles, PC, Cloud and game-pass.

Advertise and promote Xbox consoles and be happy that they have Xbox consoles, PC, Cloud, game pass etc.

Always said it, it’s all about the games and FH6 is a great start this year, but I think that is going to PS, so not a good start if you go on the above XBOX strategy, especially as it is a very liked franchise and is current top rated on Meta this year.

Do it XBOX, pull the plug on the PS version and start being a XBOX business and promote your console etc.
Also Halo and Gears.

Yep it is a strategic business decision by Sony and that’s what businesses do.

What they should do with the Playground games magic recipe is share it with the other Xbox studios.
In terms of strategy and structure etc.

Great to see an Xbox studio game at the top FH6 after 5 months into the year.

Would be good to see Halo and gears in the top 10 or even 5 as well by the end of the year.

That would be a great year for Xbox studios.

For me even the normal Xbox controller is better for me.
It’s all about hands and personal preference.
The thumb sticks diagonally across and the triggers I prefer to other controllers bundled with consoles.

Each hand to its own 🤣

Have an elite 2, best controller.
Will be getting the elite 3, thank god they left the thumb sticks in the same angled formation.

If there is one Xbox studio that knows AAA critically acclaimed game making its Playground games.
