I found REZ 4 and 8 entertained for almost all the way through.

Requiem started fantastic for me.
First half 10/10
Sending half around 7/10.

Seem to lose that first half greatness as the second half was being played through and got worse the further I went.

GTA6 could be and has a massive chance of being this generations defining real next generation console game.
we have not had yet this generation, with plenty of cross generation games, covid and things generally not being class leading next generation.
I really hope it is, as we could do with it and give us something to celebrate and cheer about, after this generations current let down and terrible price increases, redundancies and nothing that class leading and crazy company decisions.

Took a while for me and the new jump mechanic.
Will take my time over the campaign, so should be good 😊

Had ago today but only to get the feel of the new button layout etc and see the games graphics etc.
Got used to it all and can’t wait for campaign release. E Day.

Gears e day beta, had a little go to see what it was about, multiplayer not my thing but I got used to the new button layout etc, ready for the campaign.

AC black flag and FH6.

I just don’t like film grain and chromatic, also horrible motion blur.
I prefer a pin sharp and smooth panning focused picture, with minimal blur.

Just getting to half way through.
Will stop for the update.
Hate film grain and chromatic rubbish.
Don’t know why developers even waste their time adding it.

If it can’t be fixed for a good price.
Then sorry to say that would probably be the end for Xbox for me.
With a Pro and switch 2 as well and also my stacked GPU expiring in March 27, it would be the excuse needed to leave.

I’m not complaining when it comes out as long as it’s the amazing game of quality in all areas it should be.
And not the dive that was Starfield.

It should be the FH6, Zelda TOTK and GOWR of Bethesda Studios. Not some mid 80s game in need of desperate attention and fixing and definitely have more modern game systems and not loading to go into a little cave etc.

Well let’s be honest of late it’s only Nintendo that seem to know what they are doing overall out of the big three and on a stable good footing.

I thought it was a good way of having a peaceful protest. Unlike some protests that get out of hand and violent.

Maybe a Helix console day one release.
Would give it a big boost.

I’m being honest and hoping for a bit more in the campaign like DF said.

Overall so far multiplayer looks ok to plus a bit.

It’s a shame it’s taken 5 years to get Unreal 5 and series x to this level.
We always knew it would be the Coalition that got there overall.

I would also love to see a PS5 Pro version which would probably be full quality mode effects at 60fps and using PSSR2 the sharpest image of the bunch, apart from top end PC.

All I know is I got confused the other day when I had to change a setting to allow FH6 gifted cars to be accepted.

I got there in the end. 🤣

FH6 and AC Black Flag and maybe some Halo.

Still FH6 for me that is strong at number 3.
Not tried DOOM dlc yet sitting in 4th.
Good year for Xbox studios so far.

I now few casuals that are also disc people.
I asked them about GTAVI.
Yep will just download when released.
They don’t care and even care what the game is like. It’s GTA and that’s it.
And that the mass gaming landscape out there, not us on these forums.

No disc required me all digital.
Can’t see the point in preordering.
Reviews out a few days before release.
Then download if all ok, ready to go day one.
I’m not looking forward to 30fps if it is, it’s a joke in 2026.

I’m just a campaign player.
So will wait for that on GPU.

I’ve never known an industry overall have so many job cuts.

It tells me one thing and that is the industry overall bloated itself with employees because it is happening to most studios across the industry.

They all got carried away when making really good money and also went berserk during Covid with employment and bloated the hell out of their staff numbers.

It’s is unfortunately the most inevitable loss of employees due to past mass recruitment and was bound to happen at some point.

As for the Halo remake.
It was basically a simple remake for me and didn’t add much.
Being overwhelmed by the original on the original Xbox and showing off to my mates back in the day. Made it a game of its time and outstanding back then.
Playing the remake on GPU Series x felt tiresome and repetitive and just a bit more flash graphics wise and showed it’s aged overall.
I stopped after a mission or two got bored.

As I put on Push Square.
I think a lot of these studios have bloated overtime from the good old days and unfortunately for some the hour has come.

I think they all need to take a more tight employment approach, maybe the Nintendo model going forward, so these sad occurrences don’t happen again.

Would be a great addition, always wanted something on Xbox like this.

They have made some great new features during the series x generation.

Hope they don’t hit the reset button and we lose them with Helix.

Someone told me on here Microsoft/XBOX have the patent for quick resume so the other two could not copy it.

It’s a fantastic feature of the series x console.

It’s always the UK, since the price increase a few shops have kept the old price for Series X disc and digital.
Over the weekend and still as of today the dam things have been flying off the shelves.
Like everyone loves Xbox consoles all of a sudden.
Not many left and some stores out of stock tonight.
I just don’t get the human race, why do they all of a sudden in large numbers want an Xbox now.
I know the price increase will kick in soon, but selling this amount due it when people didn’t want a Xbox console over the last 5 years.
Crazy times in console world. But it does make me think Xbox has a weird relationship with the UK public and their consoles do have appeal.

I’ve always liked some the advanced stuff in the series x.
And correct better VRR and LFC and you also don’t need 2:1 VRR on series x you can use 2.0 hdmi as well.
And of course quick resume.

Also she knows the best place to play these games Halo and FH5 and probably FH6 and Fable is a PS5 Pro with 2tb of faster ssd memory just £100 more than a series x 1tb disc console.

So my point, Asha is not daft.

So she is setting gears up to fail, to give a reason/excuse to go full steam ahead with multiplatform.
Anyone can see that and she definitely can, the console price increase gives that clearly.

She knows gears would be a better multi platform than the resent Halo low sales on PS5.
Like she knows FH6 and Fable will do well.

I think the gears e day test could well fail depending what Asha is looking for.
If it is for sale of the game on Xbox consoles it might just get through, but I doubt it.

If it’s to see if the game sells Xbox console it’s totally lost and gone at these new prices.
If that’s the case they have set it up to fail with the price increases.

You might as well get a switch 2 at £380 in most stores over a series s.
You might as well get a PS5 Pro over series x, they are getting that close to each other especially series x disc version.

Overall
XBOX console sales will drop to almost zero
PS5 console sales will slow, which they already have.
Switch 2 and Nintendo, give me ya money and laughing. Will sell the most, even after the rise in September.

Now is the time to promote and reintroduce Xbox Access with a year to pay so much per month interest free.
Was a fantastic idea in the UK and could help sell some consoles.

This will a terrible rest of year and Christmas for Xbox consoles in the UK, where they had just started to make a little ground and pick up a bit recently.

At Christmas Sony and Nintendo do some great UK deals normally, the last two years Xbox have done none, unless that changes this year.

This has been going on for years on Samsung and LG TVs, 2 very big selling TV companies.

I would love to know the current paid Gamepass uptake to date with this app on these TVs.

I don’t know a single person that has used this and a single person that plays cloud gaming, outside of these gaming forums.

They really are out of touch with the general public and casual mass market.

I love the series x console, I wish Microsoft had since the start of this generation.

Sounds very familiar to Phil’s early days and fantastic optimism and look what happened at the end of the day.

I applaud the new approach and optimism but bless her, she has one hell of an uphill battle. But that depends on what her real Microsoft goals are from the top.

For all we know it’s to leave the hardware market but keep things going for now.
Try to keep console sales and GPU just ticking over, until we go full publisher mode.

See we just don’t know the real end truth of the aims and objectives are.
We just get fed what we want to hear for current time line of the project Microsoft.

Do I believe all this PR, who knows I’m on the fence of trust and not to trust.

It’s a tough time for consoles at the moment with price increases and other gaming platforms like mobile phone and the general less interest in consoles.

The only positive there is XBOX consoles can’t get much worse and can probably only get better or die.
