I really hope this doesn’t end up with Cloud gaming being the next generation thing.
I absolutely hate cloud gaming, I want instant gaming at full graphical and sound effects the best they can be and no gaming lag

I don’t think it would be a good time for Sony or XBOX to release anything new.

Just make amazing games for their consoles and tap more power out of them development wise. And just ride the storm and release new consoles when this is over, even if it’s 2030.

What gets me they both moan they make hardly any profit from consoles so why are they always in a rush to make less money on a new console release.

Just as they had good console sales in the UK with FH6 and the lower price to PS5.

Oh well back to square one again.

Like with all that time from both studios what could have been made by now all these years later, with all people and time.

Probably a great new ip or maybe a new or full U5 remake of Banjo K. Such a waste.

Played the Onimusha demo and was not that impressed. RE9 great, Pragmata fantastic but Onimusha not that impressive.
Just my demo opinion and won’t be buying at the moment.

Correct software sales will not affected.
But genuine top next generation experiences maybe.

Look at series x, it’s not until Halo remade and gears e day are we really seeing XBOX studios give us the top potential of the console, 5 years in.
Similar can be said for Sony studios and PS5.
It’s been a weird and hard generation this current one.

The cross generation 5 year period is Sonys and XBOXs second big issue to price.
With less gains each generation and potential high prices it may only be us keen gamers buying into next generation, which will definitely make for very slow sales.

I find his games niche and sales of DS2 are about 2 million, so not set the world alight when you consider FH5 sold 5 million on PS5 alone.

To me his games nowadays are overrated niche experiences, but with amazing production values.

Totally agree with that Sony are dicks with cloud saves.
On XBOX cloud saves are free to anyone with an account.

Also even if you are a Sony PSN member you only get cloud saves not anyone signed onto your console, that is seriously tight.

It could be XBOX doing PR and branding the name about again, to get it back into the minds.

Why do PS players need a Microsoft account.
You don’t need an EA, Ubisoft account on PS or XBOX to play their games.

Ducking stupid ideas these companies do and the hoops they make gamers jump through. For the sake of another account on the metrics graph and data analysis.

Doesn’t the equation have to include loss of GPU money and maybe subscribers if day one games disappeared.

I would probably then leave GP, as cloud saves are free to anyone.
I have GPU for day one FH6, Halo, gears e day and Fable as fantastic examples.

Also they could lose people to PlayStation as well, with no GPU day one games.
Especially as currently gears e day is the only major exclusive.

I only play COD if it has a good campaign, so I can wait a year and have cheaper GPU.
I mean recently, I can’t complain.
FH6, Halo, gears e day and Fable soon.
And others.

Seems a bit the other way round this generation, especially with gears e day as well.
It looks like the game engine Unreal 5 has finally at long last caught up with the consoles, tailoring to them.

Really my eyes are hurt now.

But then again I’ve had ago about XBOX, but I’m here with a series x as well and GPU until into 2027 and I can’t fault it at the moment.

Next up Halo remake, then Gears e day and then Fable.
And just downloading COD vanguard which is now free, never played it.
Then that’s not including all little game like Minecraft dungeons 2 etc.
and the dam it all looks so good on my Sony Bravia 9 65” TV.

I just think you have to go in all guns a blazing and putting especially Fable across to PS is a daft idea in the exclusive strategy and Halo.

You have to fight fire with fire and XBOX isn’t getting any single player PS studio games and also probably PC as well now.

Microsoft are bring a tiny little knife to a gun fight by putting major single player games like Halo remake and Fable and even FH6 on PS.

I’m all for the Xbox360 days as much as anybody and if not more, as I lived the glory days, showing off Gears of war, Halo and Forza to friends, that then went a bought an xbox360.

But to me sod em, make them all exclusive, FH6, Halo and Fable and stop arsing around doing a 20 % job.

They won’t gain much ground at roughly a 20% rate especially as COD is still on PS.

Well I think you have got to be exclusive if you want to sell console hardware and/or some game pass as well and get people into your whole eco system.

I do find it a little grinding that gears e day went exclusive and not FH6, Halo and especially Fable, as Fable is released 5 months after gears e day.

They are just going to get caught in the middle with most probably going to PS and missing the odd game like gears e day but still getting FH6, Halo and Fable, and adding the PS exclusives and then third party games to their PS libraries.

The top end perfectionists will go PS5 Pro console wise so that ends that.

No rush it will still be there digitally when I want it 🤣

This is how series x should have started all those years ago on release day and continued through out with exclusive games of this quality probably 2 each year, from XBOX studios.

Sony seem in a lot better position in the gaming division, which might even be holding up the rest of Sony, remembering the TCL TV etc 51% buyout.

It’s Bungie that will lose some employees soon, they are massive with about 850 employees and what have they done for Sony.

Don’t need to hate, it’s just business realignment.

Being brutally honest I don’t have a series x for those studios games.
I have my FH6 and soon Halo and then gears e day then Fable.

I don’t think some realise how many employees and studios XBOX have.

And just like Sony, Ubisoft and XBOX it’s a business and if money isn’t being returned on investment the inevitable is going to happen.

This won’t be last in the industry this year and it won’t all be XBOX.

It’s simple, I will be playing Gears e day and clockwork on series x, via GPU.

If you want to play the games get an Xbox or PC or go cloud gaming.

It’s no different to wanting to play Wolverine or Splatoon Raiders.

No, actually it’s better as you have more options than just a console.

I just miffed by it all.
Just remember like when Nintendo put Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, with a 3 year gap, that is outstanding.
And Naughty Dog in the PS4 days last of us and Uncharted times and a small multiplayer game as well.

It’s all got a bit slow, even Forza Horizon that’s was a 2 year cycle with Forza Motorsport was 4.5 years with FH5 to FH6.

They are all taking longer and I know games are more complex, but the tools to make the games are better now as well.
It’s all since COVID it’s gone all slow ish.

I believe it is about 100 employees.
Good luck to them all.

Got to feel for the employees it’s not very nice, hope they find jobs very soon.

Switch 2 is ok don’t get me wrong, but I tried it and you end missing the third party games especially running at 60fps with all the bells and whistles.
I soon came running back.
Maybe keep the PS5 or Series x as well or one of them.

Don’t get me started on Nintendo, I think wow they are releasing another game like Yoshi or star fox remake to find it wasn’t Nintendo at all.
Would not surprise me if Splatoon Raiders is outsourced as all the assets seem the same.
Which always leads me to, what do Nintendo studios do with all this time. 🤣

Well if it’s true, you can see they are removing smaller studios that don’t produce the big games like FH6, gears e day or Halo, COD all potential big AAA sellers.

I think XBOX will end up like Sony less studios but keeping bigger studios making big games.

Don’t know all the facts and figures and it doesn’t mean I agree with it.

Totally the right decision.

Looking good already for 2027 and that is without third party games to buy.

Yep the safe bets were there for sure and it was a great show.

To be truly great AAAA it needed just the ole one last game, something we didn’t expect right at the end, even if 2 years away.

Was the best of all shows for me and definitely top of the big three.

But it annoys me, it’s XBOX games pass and strategy, if it’s not working and they want XBOX gamers like me to buy games, then re-think the strategy and get rid of game pass XBOX.

I’m actually amazed Sony need to charge going by a couple of UK retailers £90 more for a PS5 disc compared to series x disc console.

Obviously it’s a sell less but more profit per console strategy, rather than sell more make less profit per console, which I thought they would have preferred to get more people buying into their eco system and games.

Seems the wrong strategy to me, but then I’m not a Sony accountant.

Yep you are correct it’s a small little uptick.
But what surprised me was only the 400 behind PS5, though I know the UK is good ish territory for Xbox.

I still thought PS5 would be thousands ahead. Goes to show what price does like you said.

Definitely a tough one, but only time will tell.
Always think currently the most stable one or focused on a pure defined strategy is Nintendo.

I know it was only a small uptick but 12% increase in the UK up on console sales when FH6 released, does show them something.
And the big one for me only 400 hundred console sales behind Sony at that time.

However the UK I think after USA but definitely is Europes strongest XBOX country.

I’m still in shock with Sony TV thing TCL 51% buy out, so anything can happen.
