Don’t get me started on Nintendo, I think wow they are releasing another game like Yoshi or star fox remake to find it wasn’t Nintendo at all.
Would not surprise me if Splatoon Raiders is outsourced as all the assets seem the same.
Which always leads me to, what do Nintendo studios do with all this time. 🤣

Well if it’s true, you can see they are removing smaller studios that don’t produce the big games like FH6, gears e day or Halo, COD all potential big AAA sellers.

I think XBOX will end up like Sony less studios but keeping bigger studios making big games.

Don’t know all the facts and figures and it doesn’t mean I agree with it.

Totally the right decision.

Looking good already for 2027 and that is without third party games to buy.

Yep the safe bets were there for sure and it was a great show.

To be truly great AAAA it needed just the ole one last game, something we didn’t expect right at the end, even if 2 years away.

Was the best of all shows for me and definitely top of the big three.

Yep it’s not great times for the gaming industry, I would think it’s maybe only Nintendo smiling on the console sales front currently with switch 2 and still switch 1 console sales.

But it annoys me, it’s XBOX games pass and strategy, if it’s not working and they want XBOX gamers like me to buy games, then re-think the strategy and get rid of game pass XBOX.

I’m actually amazed Sony need to charge going by a couple of UK retailers £90 more for a PS5 disc compared to series x disc console.

Obviously it’s a sell less but more profit per console strategy, rather than sell more make less profit per console, which I thought they would have preferred to get more people buying into their eco system and games.

Seems the wrong strategy to me, but then I’m not a Sony accountant.

Yep you are correct it’s a small little uptick.
But what surprised me was only the 400 behind PS5, though I know the UK is good ish territory for Xbox.

I still thought PS5 would be thousands ahead. Goes to show what price does like you said.

Always think currently the most stable one or focused on a pure defined strategy is Nintendo.

I know it was only a small uptick but 12% increase in the UK up on console sales when FH6 released, does show them something.
And the big one for me only 400 hundred console sales behind Sony at that time.

However the UK I think after USA but definitely is Europes strongest XBOX country.

I’m still in shock with Sony TV thing TCL 51% buy out, so anything can happen.

Good luck with getting Bethesda to move any faster, with games like elder scrolls etc. They are as inefficient and slow as their extremely old game engine.

They should have left gears with PS5 especially after gears remake going to PS5 so should have gears e day.

They have done damage to Halo remake now, as PS5 players think what’s the point of investing in the Halo remake as they might next release the next main Halo game on PS5.

Should have left gears e day, along with FH6, Halo and Fable. And then next year made the change in exclusives in a more professional thought out way, not a knee jerk reaction, like XBOX executives having doing for the past 5 years.

Xbox pipped it for me over PlayStation.
Nintendo was a distant third, it was not great at all.

When any of the big three say this about demand and supply and issues.
I go look at some UK suppliers for a while.
And guess what they have stock and good amounts.

Don’t get me wrong sometimes on release day or during Covid yes.

I think the issue gamers may have and myself is simple.

If you are investing in a single console we all used to know where we stood with exclusive content and made the choice.

Now we are like do I get a PS5 and hope I get these Xbox games and have the best of both worlds.
Or do I need to own an Xbox and a PS to get the best of both worlds.

It’s not a cheap hobby nowadays.

I think they are keeping a few games exclusive to XBOX to keep the fan base a bit happy and game pass subs and hoping some will still pick up Helix.

Was getting worried this was Spyro flying as they not mentioned on the ground Spyro action like the older games.

I hope it still has all the traditional ground gameplay, if so can’t wait.

I was wondering about Stellar Blade Bloodrain as no platforms were announced.

It will be one of two things if it doesn’t come to Xbox or on day one.

Careful investment planning by the company.
Or Sony paying for timed exclusive rights, which may even be contractually linked to the first game.

If it’s Sony which I hope it is not, they are becoming annoying now, as the Cold War is over and there is no need for it now.

It was an ok show and I did like most of it.
Was great to see level game support for XBOX, even though some like to say companies won’t bother.

Well let’s see what happens and hopefully it will all move forward well.

Well XBOX do somethings right, I’m currently right now playing FH6 top AAA game and highest on meta so far this year and we are nearly early half way through this year.

If they following with a very good Halo remake and an outstanding Gears E Day and Feb 2027 a best ever Fable, then they are going in the right direction.

It’s all about the games.

Yep XBOX hardware future is a bit different and I’m definitely not convinced at the moment.
I almost think Helix is the middle ground to keep some sort of XBOX hardware alive and maybe even game pass, until they can become just a publisher.

It’s as if the gaming industry feel the need or desire to sell us new hardware.

Then moan they make no profit on new hardware for nearly the entire generation.

I still believe they make money on hardware day one and that is why they are so keen to give us new hardware.

Why bother with new hardware if you make no profit. Continue to support existing hardware with more and better games and services and make the profit there.

I think nowadays the industry is very corrupt and full of lies most of the time.

I think it was a rumour about PS6 it was on a few sites, not sure.
However I bet they are both thinking that.
Next gen will be a hard sell though, if the current climate continues.

I say go for Pro specs with PSSR 2.0 as a main stream console, which will bring the cost down maybe to £600 ish.

Diminishing returns are getting so evident and cross generation games don’t help.

I read an article the other day about PS6 that Sony are considering specification reductions to reduce cost.

Why XBOX dress this up with the word innovation, it crap wording.

It means lower the spec to keep the cost down.

Next gen is going to be a very hard sell for both Xbox and PS. We already have great graphics etc and diminishing returns will be very evident and of even more cross generation games than this generation.

For me the PS5 Pro now that PSSR 2.0 is running is about as far as they need to go for the next 5 years at least.

Remember all those extra graphics and textures and detail add to the cost of the game development and time, and as we know that is already in a terrible way.

They won’t go exclusive or maybe a timed exclusive.
When you sell 5 million plus with FH5 on PS beating both Sony studios sales for Astro Bot and more recently Ghost of Yotei in sales on a PS console, especially of a game that has already been made for Xbox and PC and the return on investment is massive.

Why would you as now a main publisher and business turn that money down.

They are now a massive publisher that has this probably annoying attachment to XBOX hardware and also maybe game pass that they need to sort of keep alive for now, hence Helix.

I’m just at the beginning and let loose to explore and started some races.
I do take my time 🤣

I really hope Asha has taken note of the quality of this game and the 92% score and how well it has been received and the increase UK XBOX console sales by about 12%.
And going forward all XBOX studio games are of this top tier quality.

Yep it would have been great to have had a series x pro.
But for me it’s Sonys own PSSR 2.0 upscaling that has set it apart.
Console FSR seems to be terrible for shimmering and artefacts.

Yep Sony got going out the gate especially the first 2 years, then they got caught up with that weak year and GAAS and still haven’t totally recovered.
About year 3 and 4 of the PS5 is when XBOX could have also had a chance of striking, but they totally missed the chance, with no console marketing and PR and under achieving games. Followed by sort of going multi platform and saying everything is an XBOX.

If ever a trillion dolllar company had a chance of missed opportunity it is Microsoft with XBOX.

Under the right leadership and with the Xbox consoles at the right price and with all those studios to make exclusive games as long as they are good as FH6 92% meta big AAA.
And some real marketing and PR.

Then they could lead a full frontal assault. 😊
