Unfortunately for Asha’s gears of war e day selling more consoles etc has come at totally the wrong time.
With the Xbox console price increase prior to gears release date it definitely won’t sell consoles.
We have seen what happened to PS5 sales with the price increase.

This is totally the wrong benchmark for gears as it is totally unfair because of the Xbox console price increase.

How thick are Xbox management.

Yep the Pro I would only recommend if you have the right TV and environment and you are a graphics perfectionist and want the very best performance.

So Halo will be a flop on PS5 compared to FH5 very good sales, 5 million plus.
And why, an old game remake and a type of game that PS5 players don’t care about and an aging franchise with no real selling power.
Going forward apart from COD and Minecraft XBOX purchased franchises.
No other old original XBOX studio game we’ll sell more than FH5 did, maybe FH6 and very slight possibility Fable. But with GOWL out at the same time definitely not initially.

And so was FH5 with good Pro enhancements and now Halo and of course FH6 will be and Fable.
And Xbox Studios are now using PSSR2.0 as well.
We have to laugh else we would cry.

I know when I have games in quick resume it’s best to go to suspend them in the download page and it gets faster.
Say from 40 to 280.
Weird how series x downloads work, even if I leave the console on it downloads quicker than when in active stand by.
Seems wrong a company in the PC software and cloud markets etc and all those decades of experience, makes a bit of a hash with console downloads.

Spotted that on my series x lots of issues all round.
They should stop gamers being able to buy the GPU £20 early access and premium edition until they have fixed this.

I agree why some cannot mark the game on its own standing instead of marking down because of the historic multiplayer etc.
oh well you can’t please everyone and it was bound to happen.

I’ve just done some UK series x stock checking, they not helping themselves.
Smyths Toys low or no store stock in most shops.
Argos, no home delivery in most areas.

This is not the way to run a business in my humble opinion, XBOX needs to be in stock and needs some good breaks, not no stock or very low stock.

I just don’t get this Trillion dollar company, they should make sure of stock, no exceptions or excuses.

I mean the UK is the second home of XBOX after USA.

Lots of people get carried away with ratios against the XBOX, but lately the no disc PS6 thing has taken heat away from the XBOX redundancy programme.

I still don’t get the XBOX some exclusive some not game thing, sitting in the middle maybe prove bad for Helix and XBOX series console sales or even GPU.

Imagine what sales may have been going exclusive with FH6, Halo and Fable as well and some PR Marketing.

Nice to see switch 2 giving Sony a kick in the nuts, Sony really don’t deserve the success they have had this generation since the first two years of the PS5.

Notice I said Sony get the nuts kicked not the PS5, as it’s Sony that don’t deserve much as a business.

I guess it’s pre price increase snap up if you want an Xbox.
I would love to believe it was for FH6, Halo, Gears E day etc and back by popular demand.
Anyway it is still good news, will be interesting to see European sales that don’t include the UK, which last month was only 400 less than PS5.

Well I had a little look up and got this.
Goes to show how bad FSR is.

Nvidia DLSS is generally the best upscaler overall. It delivers the sharpest image, the cleanest motion, and the best handling of fine details. PSSR 2.0 is an incredibly close second and easily outperforms AMD FSR

I think with Helix they are sticking with AMD as far as rumoured.
Have AMD when using a power PC a version of FSR that is up there with PSSR2.0 and DLSS or are they still behind.

See I’ve been spoilt on the Pro recently since PSSR2.0.

Well unfortunately we never got a Series Z mid gen update.
So it’s third party games on Pro like AC BF resynced.

And we get rubbish old FSR whatever.
Well apart from Pro that should get PSSR2.0.

Wish this generation of consoles had DLSS, even switch 2 does and it does well overall.

AMD FSR on consoles is not great

The thing is if they want to keep Game pass subscription and going up, they are going to need more FH6, halo, gears and Fable after February 2027.
Mine runs outs early next year after Fable so will have to evaluate it all then.
COD has been removed as well now.

I just think the whole organisation that’s is XBOX managed from a distance and let studios get on, which some on here thought was a good idea.

You need great focused management to steer the ship in the right direction with milestones and project plans and strict timelines.

If my team where left on their own, they would be good but overtime start to stray and go off on tangents etc.
and that’s what a lot of XBOX studios did.

You end up with artists and game designers taking up most of the time scale and then get left with little time to actually programme and code and bring it all together. Let alone go through quality assurance within the processes.

Create an amazing top AAA game with top production values etc, you get the sales and rewards.

It’s have been like that for decades of gaming.
I hope XBOX carry on this trend now, no more mid scoring type games like Avowed and south of midnight, it does not work and sadly look what has happened.

If you are going to make a game make it top notch or don’t bother, fishing around in the middle does absolutely no good.

What will be interesting is we have a good few big AAA games FH6, Halo, gears e day and Fable February 2027.

Now after that and with all the studios disruption when are say the next big four AAA games going to make an appearance.

I think we will have a long gap between Fable and the next few AAA from Microsoft studios to the level of the next 7 months or 10 months including FH6.
MAY 26 to February 27.

Remember some studios are now not Xbox studios.

And back to the real general public world and fifa and cod and fortnight world.

It will make no difference to Sony or XBOX now and future sales.

It was a great plan but they forgot about the amazing series x and s and how to sell them etc.
if console sales had double to 60 million that would another 15 million subscribers going on this data roughly.

The World Cup being in the USA could have been a massive sponsor for XBOX to reach the world especially Europe, but seen nothing from them.

Then again they miss more opportunities than most football stickers do.

It’s a shame it’s gone this way for those that like physical but also for those that use the disc drive to play dvd and 4k Blu-ray Discs as I know a few that do.

My partners son is not happy 26 year old, his PS5 Pro is used massively for 4k Blu-ray as well as games and an all in one solution suits him, especially as he is a physical collector.

Xbox could win some friends over

Definitely fantastic news for the environment. Less plastic and discs and also the energy and machines used to produce them.

From a business perspective how much is Blade going to cost to make and how many will sell, will there be a return on investment.

It’s hardcore and hardline at the moment and if any business is not making any money on their investment then they are going to be looked at.

Another game with investment I would look into is kojimas OD, is this going to make any money?

Most of us all work for a business and if the business isn’t making money then at some point we won’t working there for much longer.

I know it’s harsh but I wouldn’t like to be paying out money if I know I’m not getting it back with some profit, else what is the point.
At very bare minimum a break even point guarantee.

Is my suspicious mind doing overtime or are they stream lining, cutting spending ready for looking slim and fit for some type of buyout.

Buying a Pro now is very expensive, but if you are new to a next generation console then worth a consideration in August the Pro is only $100 more than a series x.

As for PSSR2.0 it really does shine and being honest I did not think after PSSR1.0 it would, but it does do it gracefully.

That is why I wanted a Series Z with the same features, which I would have purchased probably over the Pro. Actually if Xbox released a Series Z tomorrow for £800 and it matched the PS5 Pro in every upgrade, including upscaling etc, I would get one day of release.

Well TAAU left plenty of fizz and artefacts on series x so that seems as bad as FSR.

It wasn’t until I doubled dipped on Shadows on Pro with PSSR2.0 and saw the difference, I would have not believed it.

No fuzz on foliage and bamboo and thatched roofs and slightly sharper overall.
It looks ok standing still it’s when you start panning and moving about.

This is why I begged for a mid generation upgrade to series x say a series z.
The one x was one of my favourite consoles.

60FPS with standard ray tracing and that terrible upscaler they call FSR, leaving fizz and artefacts, especially when panning.

Of course my go to third party console is now PS5 Pro. So Microsoft are not getting that 30% cut but Sony are.
Series x for Xbox game pass ultimate games. Having said that Fable will probably be PS5 Pro for the enhancements.

Also why preorder a digital game.
Just wait for reviews a few days before release.
If you like what the games is and about and the reviews suit you, then preorder with pre download.

It’s obvious whatever platform the game is releasing on, in respective to that platforms other preorders it will have the most preorders, it is as simple as that.

Yep I think she is just playing to Xbox fans for now. I mean keeping just gears e day of PS isn’t really that doing much at all at the end of the day.

I think once Helix arrives of course it will be the PC version of the game and also series x with cross generation, which I can see lasting almost forever next generation at the prices we are seeing for next generation.

I think then Xbox will become a full publisher, she is just fan playing for now and holding onto some Xbox console and game pass subscribers.
