As we head into the weekend, we wanted to give you a reminder that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta is now officially free for everyone to check out, following a period of early access for people who had pre-ordered it.

There's reason to dive back in if you played in the first weekend too, as various new features are being added to this specific weekend of the beta including new maps and game modes, along with improvements to gameplay.

If you're interested in playing it right now, you can just head over to the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 - Beta page on the Xbox Store to download the game. It's available across Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox PC.

You've got until September 1st to enjoy it, so that's a whole (long) weekend for you to sample both the campaign and multiplayer aspects of Modern Warfare 4. The full game then launches on October 23rd, 2026.
