My sub doesn't expire until 2026, but I'm already planning to not re-sub. I'm done with gamepass. Between the price hike for ultimate, the standard sub, and the constant nerfs for microsoft rewards... I'm just tired and done...

@Titntin you put my thoughts into words perfectly. This didn't feel like fable to me.

@Banjo- yes its a script for presenting a video game. A script that is supposed to entice people to want to play. And as I said... in MY opinion it did not do that.

In my opinion it missed the mark. That's it...

@Utena-mobile people here will rip me to shreds on this, but the humor was one thing thst felt really off. It felt forced. Like they were trying to be really hip and funny but missed the mark.

The original was VERY tongue in cheek. It's humor felt natural, and that it was full satire of that time.

I am going to keep an open mind on it, but this trailer didn't capture the magic for me. I need to see gameplay to be certain of my option.

I have to respectfully disagree here... as someone who has played and loved fable 1, 2, and 3, this COMPLETELY missed the mark for me.

It doesn't hit the tone of the series at all. And this clearly wasn't gameplay footage at all.

The series x/s didn't bring me back to xbox... the prospect of another fable game did.

@JayJ I agree with this. By the end of 4 I was getting a bit bored, by 5 I was tired of the formula. I haven't touched 6 yet. Not sure if I will.

Best way to pre-load this game is to just not bother. Farcry 5 was not a good game. It was very much your typical Ubisoft open world.

I loved Farcey 3 and 4 but 5 was just a let down. ESPECIALLY the ending...

Save your time people it's not worth it

Great game with great combat, really happy to see it do well.

@Alduin if it makes you feel better I hated dead island as well but really enjoyed dying light.

@Martsmall well that is unfortunate because when it's not raining I have a great time with the game.

@Plonky I've not played VC or SA yet. Any idea if those have the terrible rain as well?

I've been playing GTA 3 all day and have noticed at night when it rains it is virtually impossible to see anything. Thankfully I can play around with the settings and hopefully fix it.

I won't forget this moment.

I was playing the original condemned game, in my room in the dark. I had just gotten done telling my roommates how creepy it was. 2 of them decided to join me and watch.

I went to the washroom at one point and came back, both of them were still there waiting for me to continue.

I had one foot hanging off the bed when something grabbed my foot...

Turns out my 3rd roommate took that moment that I went to the washroom to hide under my bed and lay in wait for my poor unsuspecting self.

I got her back eventually but it didn't compare to that night.

I was having lots of fun with it... til I broke my hand today...now I can't hold a controller...

Imagine putting out a statement saying that your game that was released more than 6 months ago has reached a "satisfactory" level of stability...

@Tharsman Hitman actually is not owned by Square.

IOI said when they broke off that they retained the rights to the hitman name. Square makes mobile games and IOI don't. There was already a Hitman sniper on mobile so Square most likely went to IOI and said hey can we do this since we let you keep the rights, or it was part of their break up.

Also IOI have been making hitman games for the past 20+ years. Hitman will be back for certain. Whether it's another part of the world of assassination or a new game entirely we will see more of hitman.

That being said as someone who owns all 3 consoles I don't like the idea of snatching up developers. There is something said about being able to nurture and build talent. Buying up already established developers seems like cheating to me.

If a developer is struggling and you see potential for sure by all means help them out. But this whole buying large companies that were already successful seems gross to me.

So all of these "acquisitions" that Jeff Grubb was going on about for the past month ended up being exclusive partnerships.

Not that I am complaining he is wrong though. I DO NOT want Microsoft owning IOI. I own the hitman games on ps5 and didn't want to have to switch to Xbox if they released a 4th entry in the world of assassination.

Looks good, but given that it's a Ubisoft game, I know to wait until just after Christmas for a discount of approximately 50%.

@rjc-32 but only digitally. I'm really struggling to see why. Microsoft may have just lost themselves a sale. My city is still in lockdown, so I'm not going to be going to a store. So it's either Amazon which is 59.99 but I have to wait for it to be delivered, or buy it on playstation for 59.99.

I'm not paying 20 bucks more for the same game digitally on the xbox store.

@lumothesinner that's the thing, physical copies in store are $59.99 as well. The outlier is the xbox store. I've checked best buy, Amazon, and EB Games. All 59.99.

I had rewards points I was going to redeem and get it digitally, but if it's only going to bring it down to the same cost as other consoles it seems like a waste of rewards points.

I'll get it physically, but now I am back to trying to decide on playstation or xbox. I know the xbox version has an edge now, but I have both ps5 and series x, so not knowing how those versions are going to stsck up makes it a bit more difficult to decide.

Anyone care to explain why on the xbox store this game is 76.99 (canadian) and on the playstation store its 59.99? In stores physically it is also 59.99 for both consoles... why is the xbox store so much more expensive?

@Originut yea I don't have this available in Canada either. Is this something that is typically only done regionally? I've not had an Xbox before this so I don't really know what to expect from these promotions.

@Dezzy70 astro literally blew my mind when I played it. It was such a great intro to the new controller features.

@Dezzy70 yea I am the opposite I find the xbox controllers just a tad small for me. Back in the ps3/360 Gen I definitely preferred the 360 controller, but the dualshock 4 ans dualsense have won me over.

At this point it's a matter of trying to balance my games between both consoles.

See this is where the names of these consoles can have a negative effect. I have been trying to decide whether or not to get this on Series X for the extra rewards points or PS5 to see how good the haptics are (I didn't play the demo yet).

When I saw this article I initially went "well ps5 it is then" but after reading a second time I am back to not knowing which version to get.

The ONLY thing that I am not enjoying about forza horizon 4 is the constant ads for dlc. I get it, there is dlc I don't need to be reminded about it with a video every 2 or 3 events I complete.

Was marketing time really the problem? Or was it the lack of attention paid to the console versions?

Either way I would like them to redeem themselves but I fail to see how the length of a marketing campaign is the solve here.

This game was so incredibly bland its not funny.

Watchdogs 2 was great but this just missed every step it took. Not to mention removing features such as having the ability to build a custom Playlist in the game and have it play while not in a vehicle.

Yes I know I can just turn on music in my room while I am playing but I don't like drowning out the rest of the game with music.

Octopath Traveller is a great game. I played it on switch when it launched. I didn't know it was launching on any other consoles.

Managed to get a series x today through Eb Games in Canada. They would only sell it through the all access pass though so that made it a bit more expensive than I would have preferred. Just waiting on final approval and for the shipping notification...

I haven't had an Xbox since halfway through the ps3/360 Gen. I've mainly.been a Playstation guy as the games suit me more. Gamepass is appealing as it prevents me from having to buy multi-plat games that launch there.
