Have you been taking part in this month's Microsoft Rewards 10k Xbox Gamerscore challenge? The contest went live on May 11, allowing you to get up to 10k Microsoft Rewards points by earning achievements throughout the month.
We're now just a few days away from the end of the contest on May 31, so this weekend is your last chance to rack up those points and add them to your tally. Remember, you don't need to get the full 10k if you don't want to.
There are a bunch of games included with Xbox Game Pass which will allow you to add a few thousand points for fairly little work, as we've highlighted above. Just make sure you activate the punch card before you start!
So, if you've been keeping up with this challenge over the past few weeks, how many points have you managed to earn? Just a few hundred, or have you been dedicated enough to get the full 10,000? Let us know down below.

I think I'm up to 7200 points? I'm finishing up the last bit of the Tourist and then off to Walking Dead Season 2. I might get to 9K but that's going to be a stretch
I'm up to around 7000. Currently looking at some of the free games that you can do in like half an hour to finish it off.
@Dezzy have you played Korgan? It's free and pretty easy 1000 gs. Wasn't to bad to play to boot.
@Krzzystuff
Ha yeah I did. Loved the music.
@Dezzy was great. Got me itching for some more dungeon crawlers overall.
You play any other free games for easy gamerscore by chance?
I’ve gotten a grand total of 0 all thanks to my time being placed in Resident Evil 8. No regrets.
Smashed it, I love these, cheevos and rewards. All good. I'm on over 13k for the month.
I know cheevos seem quite divisive these days, but I still love them and getting credit back for more games is just so good.
I normally couldn't care less for achievements, but when they are given monetary value like this I'm all over them. Hit 10k by cheesing a lot of games like surviving mars, subnautica, the bethesda pc games, and doom 64
Zero because the this challenge never showed up for me at all so i never got the chance to do it. Stupid if you ask me...
Around 2000-ish. Playing Psychonauts, which has no achievements, certainly did not help me.
they should do these 10k punch cards once a year as an event rather than as often as they are
@trev666 sure let's have a trillion dollar company give us less rewards...clearly I don't follow the logic here.
@OliverOwen didn't show up for me either...
None because it won't show on mine.
I'm somewhere around the 8k mark, I think. I've really enjoyed doing it; really appreciated Maka's Guides. I've like that I've played games I wouldn't normally have picked up like Pikuniku and The Touryst. I'm just finishing Rain on Your Parade which features an Achievement Cat! Excellent gaming first!
Not a single point, because I didn’t get the challenge.
I’ve only gotten this challenge once and that was in october of last year.
I've got 120 points left until I hit 10K. Just playing Yakuza Kiwami naturally now for the next few days and hopefully I'll hit it! Otherwise I'll have to bust out one of the freebies!
I'm happy to report I'm nowhere close. That's too much gaming for me. I'll make 1000 maybe.
@Krzzystuff
Yeah I did most of the ones where you can get loads of points in a small amount of time.
As well as stuff that was free that I just wanted to try out, like DOA6, although much smaller number of points available in a short space of time.
Zero, because there is none. (In my country) (sorry just wanted to quote Saruman)
Sadly none since this challenge never showed up to me. Maybe next time..
Got all 10k, back up to about 38k points after emptying all mine into a Series X 3 months ago (£120 off). Donut County and Pikunika (2 fun little indie games, loved the humour in them both)
Doom 64 (cheesed it)
Korgan (free game, easy 1k, game seemed very basic though)
Walking Dead: Michone and New Frontier (Solid TTG entries)
Sea of Solitude (OKish game, loved the art style though)
Call of the Sea (Great puzzle game, awesome art style, had to use a guide for a couple of the puzzles though, I'm not that clever )
New Super Luckys Tale (Classic 3D platforming, really enjoyed it but skipped 2 no damage achievements)
Maneater (Great concept, handles great but does get repetitive about halfway through)
£10 earned and got to play some cool games that I would have probably never touched otherwise. Looking at the news/comments though I'll probably be missed on the next one which is fine.
@SacredPYRO I played through New Super Lucky's Tale this week and got the 1,000G. Don't give up on the "no damage" achievements. They took me a handful of tries each to get; try pulling the camera all the way up so that you have a clear bird's eye view of the play area. That way you can more easily judge the distance of your jumps and avoid all the hazards. 😊
Well, I'm up to about.... Okay so I forgot this was a thing.
@Dezzy can you let me know what some of them are so i might have a quick run at them?
Thanks in advance
@VenomousAlbino yeah, I watched a YT video giving the exact same advice thank you though. After all these years of being a proper achievement whore I have finally come to terms with not having to 100% every game. I would much rather leave a game with fond memories than bitter ones because of really grindy/difficult achievements. Picked up the last few gamerscore naturally from Yakuza.
I’ve gained achievements through zombie games
Full 10k, got the 10k back in October(?) and January(?) too so 30k in the last 8 months which is £25 isn't bad at all
Still have a list of around 12 games in mind for the next challenge too
Just finishing the 10,000 right now with Grim Fandango which is a little longer.
Also really enjoyed
Haven't finished/ got bored of
Super short /1-2 hours 1000gs
