Im really loving Payday 3, the matchmaking isnt too bad at the moment, but what kills me is the damn menu! How is it that just wanting to go to the heist selection can take a solid 2 minutes?! Why is the menu so damn slow?
I bought the game used in August expecting a broken, unplayable mess. I was surprised to find a pretty competent and fun shooter.
Dont get me wrong, this is no BF1, and it has some fundamental flaws which contradict the spirit of Battlefield, but I am having a fair bit of fun with it, and it runs great on XSX with very few bugs (on my end at least)
The article from xbox dynasty actually goes into some more detail as well regarding the developers thoughts on the XSS holding this gen back. To which he replied: "no, why should it? We are not forced to have our games look the same on XSS as on XSX." He went on to further clarify that he finds the XSS to be a great product. Just thought id add this since we keep hearing devs complain about the XSS
Honestly happy over this. I bought it for 20€ in August and with all the updates and developer attention since release I found myself enjoying the game quite a bit!
I would like them to fix the bug where earning achievements signs you out....really sucks when you earn the achievement for getting 20 eliminations and you get kicked out of an amazing round...
I admit I understand the frustration regarding 2042, especially with its abysmal launch and deviation from all things battlefield.
That said, I recently took the plunge (got it for 18€ used on the XSX) and i am really enjoying my time with it. The game is faaaaar more stable than at launch and while i dont get the battlefield vibes i expect from a battlefield game, its a pretty entertaining shooter nonetheless. Looking forward to this content drop and the (sorta) return of classes.
As much as I want this deal to go through this is such bs.
You dont buy another studio for close to 70 billion USD when they have nothing unique on offer. I get this is just MS trying to lay the groundwork for their legal defense of the acquisition, but still.
@Agnostic i sorta agree, though i found that the way ratchet and clank handled it very entertaining, having two firing modes per gun depending on how far you pull the trigger was very fun
Im not impressed by the apology. As an executive producer he knew exactly what they were charging players for. They knew exactly that it was s*** and decided to release it anyhow. This speaks volumes for the company (not the individual).
At this point all i care about is cross progression. Im soooo ready to ditch my ps4 and move to my series X, but Ive had my account since launch and km not willing to start again.
Would be great to get a small status update on that work.
I hiiighly recommend spec ops the line. It may look and feel generic af the first couple of hours but escalates in a really interesting and thought provoking way.
@CrazyJF im using a 2020 Samsung q90t (near top of the line for samsung) with a q800t soundbar (also 2020 and equally high end). Ive connected the soundbar via eARC and the xbox straight to the tv. I could also run the xbox through the soundbar, but thats not an hdmi 2.1, and i like my 120 fps games.
Ive also got the lag down to next to nothing, but it still feels like an error that shouldnt be happening, especially since the ps5 doesnt struggle with this.
I just wish they would finally fix the audio delay when using an eARC capable soundbar. Playing games and having the audio lag by half a second is infuriating when you have a good (expensive) setup.
Not that theres anything wrong with lots of content, but if an open world game touts 500h to 100% it, then that sounds like theres a lot of repetitive/tedious busy work. Id rather have a strong and well paced single player campaign than that. But then again, maybe this game just isnt for me then.
A game that was lovingly made, has wonderful lore, a fantastic story, well-written characters and fun gameplay can sell well without microtransactions and excessive grinding?!
I mean, yeah im being sarcastic there but im baffled at "news" like this. But lets get one thing straight, before BioWare gets too high and mighty, this game is rated so highly mainly because of the quality game made by the team over a decade ago. All EA/Bioware did here was polish an already incredible set of games.
Havent really been following this game. After seeing this trailer I still have no clue what to make of it. In parts it looks like a boring standard COD-like FPS, then "Invasion" reminds me of Crysis, and then it throws some kind of "zombie" horde at the players.
I really liked the Medium. While it was at times clunky I felt that the story they crafted was well worth the download. Considering how the game ended I really want a sequel to hopefully answer many of the lingering questions.
