Re: Xbox Game Pass 2023 Titles Dominate Steam Wishlist Top 10

@Banjo- He is probably over on Push complaining about not getting Starfield on PS5 yet ripping the Creative 2 engine as being horrible. All he does on this site is bring negativity to every thread. That is why I have told him several times that I will be here to correct him. I am not sure why some people are like that. Obviously an insecurity complex.

Re: Xbox Expected To Win Activision Blizzard Battle In EU, Suggests Report

@jordan1992 Everything I said makes sense. You make no sense. I suggest you read the internet and you will find articles about the long history between MS and Bethesda. And by the way, I am not talking out of my fanboy mouth. You are and it is obvious with your comment history. How can I be a fanboy if I own four platforms to play games - Xbox, Switch, PS5 and a gaming laptop?

@jordan1992 Need to change a few words for you in your comment:

Sony is just throwing tremendous money at huge companies, with established multiplatform big hitters (to lock in exclusive content and block games from Xbox and other platforms). Microsoft nurtures studios as well. The reason they were able to buy Bethesda for the price they did is because Bethesda wouldn't be the studio it is without Microsoft's investment and trust for many years before they became multiplatform as evidenced by PC games and Xbox exclusives. Sony is using third party studios to help make some of its flagship titles such as Bloodborne, Final Fantasy and Silent Hill 2. Microsoft also has support studios. I have Playstation Plus Premium and I appreciate the value as I missed the PS4 generation and PS released a lot of great games that I can play. I just feel like Microsoft is laying the groundwork to makes games available to many more players than before and Sony is still bullying competitors and 3rd Party developers to maintain its position at the top.

Hope that helps.

Re: UK Authority Proposes Excluding Call Of Duty From Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal

@jordan1992 Enough with this tired argument. So short-sighted. You realize that Microsoft has had the longest relationship with Bethesda based on the fact that Bethesda made games for PC only in the beginning and had Xbox exclusives. Remember Morrowind? You don't think Microsoft invested and had a strong relationship with Bethesda just like Sony did with some of the companies they bought? This notion that only Sony does this is utter rubbish. Here is an article from Polygon that may help you better understand the facts:

Re: Microsoft's Acquisition Of Bethesda Is Starting To Add Amazing Value To Xbox Game Pass

cburg

I have always loved Bethesda's games. I was stoked when this acquisition occurred. So many great games and many to look forward to. Did Jim Ryan fly to protest against Bethesda as well as AB when he was in Brussels yesterday lining the pocket of the EU regulator? Just like Sony has had with many of their acquisitions, Microsoft has had a long history with Bethesda on PC and Xbox including exclusives. This acquisition made sense despite the crying of the hardcore Sony fanbase. If they are going to cry, buy a Series S. On sale it is the same as that new controller with horrible battery life.

Re: FOX News Causes A Stir With Discussion About Xbox And Climate Change

For those of you in the UK, never ever trust the spewed garbage that comes out of Fox News. It is a cesspool of conspiracy theories and far right wing propaganda that still clutches to that fat orange New York conman clown that tried to run the country to boost his own failed business interests. I hate CNN and MSNBC as well as it is the woe is me crowd. Local news is the way to go. Weather and traffic.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Wants To 'Inspire Joy' Amid 'Culture Of Criticism And Cancellation'

It is obviously unfortunate to those that lost their jobs. That is never a fun situation. I can relate as I have been laid off twice and I hope they land on their feet very soon. However, most of this is due to the extensive hiring since 2020 when everyone was at home. If you look at the net jobs gain since 2020 it is a large number.

In regards to Phil's comments, I see nothing wrong with them. People need to chill out a bit. With that being said, 343 on the surface (since no one really knows what was/is going on) seems like a mess.

Re: Microsoft President Talks 'Disappointment' With FTC Over Call Of Duty Proposal

cburg

@jordan1992 You do realize the relationship Microsoft has had with Bethesda over the years, right? Bethesda only worked on PC games and then had several exclusives with earlier Xbox generations. Microsoft pumped money behind Bethesda as Sony did with many of the studios they acquired over the years. Your point has no merit about Bethesda. In regards to Activision, Microsoft really wants King for mobile, so again your point has no merit. Why is there this notion out there that only Sony buys developers they cultivated and groomed and brought along? That is such a crock.

Re: Microsoft President Talks 'Disappointment' With FTC Over Call Of Duty Proposal

This is what happens when you nominate an unqualified, biased progressive to the FTC. The head of the FTC was just a professor before becoming nominated and always had it out for big tech as evidenced by her thesis. I am actually surprised she was confirmed by the Senate. Her agenda is not to look at real monopolies that harm consumers but to make a wave/statement in challenging vertical mergers and tech companies in general. In fact what she is doing is anti-consumer. Her far, far left views of the world have blinded her ability to offer a rational judgement. She has no knowledge of the gaming world or the real world for that matter. There can be no fairness when politically motivated. Think about this for a second. MS has agreed to let the studios unionize (along with Zenimax), they are removing the head of Activision that has created the ultimate toxic culture and have agreed to keep COD on all platforms with ridiculous 10 year deals. And this is a vertical merger! It is her way (meaning I hate big tech) or we sue you. I think MS has a strong case. The question is do they want this to drag on for a few more years.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Game Awards 2022?

cburg

This show is so biased though. We should just call it the PlayStation game awards. It was basically a free sales presentation from Sony. All the cheers after every PS5 game. Ironically in the Microsoft theater! Was Nintendo even present?Stray is nominated over Pentiment or Grounded? Stray was unplayable, at least to me. GOW has been out for a month and won that many awards? At least no one could take away how good Elden Ring was and deservedly won GOTY.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Game Awards 2022?

cburg

Kind of embarrassing for Microsoft. Not one premier? Really? Maybe FTC PlayStation Progressive Kahn told them they weren’t allowed to show anything as part of the back room deal to get the Activision merger approved. All kidding aside, this was really embarrassing for XBOX. And no Elden Ring DLC!!! Crap!!

Re: Microsoft Is Dropping The Price Of Xbox Series S For Black Friday 2022

I have an X for the LG OLED TV in the family room and an S for my TV in the study. It is a great little machine for a great price that can take advantage of what game pass has to offer. When the family is watching TV on our main TV or the kids are playing the switch I can just play it in the other room. I also sneak and may play an hour here or there during work hours. Got to get that one hour of quiet quitting a day!
