Re: Starfield's Recent Review Rating Has Dropped To 'Mostly Negative' On Steam

Most want to hate the game because it is an XBOX exclusive. The game is about a 9 for me but wow, if it released on PS5 it would have been the best thing since sliced bread. The media would have been drooling over it. Tired of the Xbox hate in the media. The media better pucker up because the long game of MS is going to blow the socks off of many haters, like Metro Uk gaming, Eurogame, Kotaku, IGN, rock paper et al. Why people don’t want all systems to succeed is beyond me. I guess praying to a plastic box makes one’s self esteem feel better.

Re: Report Claims Xbox Series X|S Sales Have Fallen By Around 15% In 2023

MS is playing the long game here - Consoles, PC, phone, TV, cloud etc along with a publishing powerhouse. This is called diversification. Right now, Sony is a one trick pony that is struggling to diversify because they see the writing on the wall several years from now. Everyone keeps focusing on console sales which are sold at a loss, especially PS which has had heavy discounts throughout the year. If the Xbox has a discount, it is because no one wants it. It helps the media to push the narrative that PS5 wins and Xbox loses. The main things to look at are profit and install base. I guarantee you that the Xbox division has more profit.

Re: Elden Ring Dev Undergoing 'Large-Scale Recruitment' For Future Projects

Elden Ring is my favorite game of all time. I am on my 4th playthrough and am still finding new weapons, spells etc. Still can't beat Malenia on my own. After I completed Elden Ring the first time, I played Bloodborne, DS 1, 2 and 3. Still have to finish Demon's Souls. I still find Elden Ring the hardest. I was able to get through the other games. Probably because I learned the gameplay and mechanics from Elden Ring.

Re: Starfield Launch Set Record For "Most Game Pass Subscriptions Added On A Single Day Ever"

The most divisive game I have ever seen. So much hate out there for Xbox/MS. It is a shame. Reviews ranging from 5 to 10 with the ones on the lower end doing it out of spite and already having made their mind up before they played it. Not saying it is a 10 out of 10 but anyone who says it is a 5 is just ridiculous. Anyway, I am enjoying it and will be playing for a long time. Good to see GP subscriptions increase as well as revenue for the MS gaming division.

Re: CMA Criticises 'Tactics Employed By Microsoft' Despite Agreeing To ActiBlizz Deal

@PsBoxSwitchOwner In this case they haven't done anything but make things worse for UK consumers. They are a far left group of progressives just like the FTC with a an ultimate goal of going after big tech just for the sake of it. If the CMA and FTC actually had sound arguments their cases would have been a lot stronger although I think they would have failed eventually.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 23-24)

Starfield and Lies of P. The more I play Starfield the more of a masterpiece it is. It is an unbelievable game, damn the critics who set out to hate it (I am looking at you Metro UK gamer, Eurogamer, Rockpapershotgun, among others). The hate for MS is so great in the gaming community. Usually that mean others are threatened. I say this as a platform agnostic as I own all systems.

Re: New Starfield Test Suggests It Could Run At 40-60FPS On Xbox Series X

In all my years of gaming I have never seen a game a divisive as Starfield or as many articles about every single aspect of the game, whether perceived good or bad. It is too much at this point. Just play the darn game at this point. I have never seen so much hate or anger for a game in my life. We all know why.

Re: Poll: Based On What You've Played So Far, What Score Would You Give Starfield?

Here it is why it is a 10 for me. I am a huge Penn State football fan. The game started at noon. I have not missed watching or seeing a game ever in my life. I was playing this morning and got lost in the RPG goodness surveying a planet, finding new bases, caves etc. I went to get a shower at 1 PM and realized I completely forgot that Penn State was on. The first time in my life. My comment may seem dramatic but that is how engrossed I am in this game.

Re: Review: Starfield - Bethesda Serves Up Its Best RPG Yet In A Messy, Exciting And Emotional Space Odyssey

@Reptilio If TOTK came out as an Xbox exclusive, it would have gotten an 8. I loved BOTW but TOTK is the same game with 20 times more to do, huge same open world, lots of emptiness, etc. I couldn’t last past 10 hours. BGS and MS gets crucified for jank, old engine, bugs, it takes too long to get going, graphics are poor, bad missions, not revolutionary, not the new standard for RPG games, only 30 FPS, bad inventory system, not enough ammo. I could go on and on. Most of which is hogwash. Is TOTK that good? It doesn’t matter because it is Nintendo and gets a 10. There is such a media bias. They want Xbox to fail. I have no idea why. And by the way Starfield even with it’s jank is absolutely amazing.

Re: Ready For Launch! Starfield Is Now Available On Xbox Game Pass

This game is great. Once you learn the ropes it is incredible. Unfortunately this game has become so divisive. The hype surrounding it, Bethesda bugs, half the gaming world wanting it to be terrible because it is not on Playstation, certain media outlets with an negative agenda before it was released, etc (Looking at you PC Gamer, Gamespot and Rockpapershotgun, among others). Sad times that a game gets so scrutinized for all the wrong reasons. Personally, I give it a 9 or 9.5.
