Re: Some Xbox Fans Aren't Happy About 'Intrusive' Call Of Duty: MW3 Ads

ZYDIO

@Zochmenos if you're referring to me, why do you keep referring to me as an old man? I am anything but. Though, I am someone who stands up for myself and what I think is right. I find it disgusting that so many people are defending a mega corporation that only exists to take your money any way they can. It's like you are pulling your pants down, bending over and begging to be fist f_u_c_k_e_d in the a_s_s constantly. The indoctrination of the weak minded is REAL.

Re: Some Xbox Fans Aren't Happy About 'Intrusive' Call Of Duty: MW3 Ads

@GeeEssEff I agree. I just to enjoy playing good games and want to enjoy the platform I use. I don't care what brand it is until I'm done wrong. That's when I say something. I will not defend a brand or company for being a brand or company. I technically don't care for any of the companies, I just pick the most tolerable.

@Zochmenos If they do not reverse what they have done, I definitely will get rid of my stuff. I did it with Sony and my Playstation stuff years ago when they stole my purchases on my account. I also sued them in court for it and won. I guess have fun with your 30 minute infomercial that you will have to watch before you get to your dashboard ad on your AdBox Series Ad in the near future.

Re: Some Xbox Fans Aren't Happy About 'Intrusive' Call Of Duty: MW3 Ads

@Zochmenos It is not an agngry fit. It is me standing up for myself and others. Change doesn't happen by being silent. Businesses operate to provide a service people want, not the other way around. I like a lot of what they are doing in the games and on the hardware side. I do not like my device slowly and secretly converting itself to an ad supported device even though I paid full price for it. It's like others are saying, "it's a slippery slope". First it was those little squares on the dashboard and then the recent dashboard update that converted the dashboard into a full fledged ad space for game pass and now full screen ads when you start the console. THIS IS NOT OK MICROSOFT! Again, as others have said, "this is a slippery slope" and I will not stand for it. I will speak up about it. If they don't change it, they loose a life long customer. Also, I am totally ok with paid DLC as long as it is good quality and I am not OK with unfinished games releasing. I can't grasp the concept of someone who is ok with unfinished products and giving free ad space to a giant corporation on property that you purchased from them. I'm having my attorney send Microsoft a cease and decist with the ads on my property and a fee scedule if they do not comply. All legally binding in court. Everyone should do this as well and they will rethink their strategy.

Well that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I have lots of Xbox stuff for sale if anybody wants it. I just crossed 1,000 games. I have quite a few ground up refurbished Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One consoles as well as relatively new Series X consoles for sale. I also have countless refurbished controllers and accessories. I'm not doing this s_h_i_t anymore. I'm the customer, not the product and I refuse to do business with a company that treats me any differently. This sucks, because now I have to switch everything to Linux as well, so I guess my Microsoft account is also for sale which has about 500 games on it. I just purchased over a hundred disc games in the last month so I'm kind of extra pissed off about this.

@RIghteousNixon Your comment is like I wrote it. I have spent $1,022 in the last 30 days on Xbox games and I also just surpassed 1000 Xbox games in my collection. That includes digital and physical. I have a reason for going on a buying spree though. I'm moving out of the country soon and I won't have access to physical games like I do here.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 14-15)

Still working on Jedi Survivor and Mars: War Logs on Series X. I've actually been pretty busy adding over 120 games to my collection. I raided the game stores before I moved to a different part of the country and now that I'm in a different part of the country I raided the game stores around here.

Re: Talking Point: It's Now Been Over 10 Years Since Rockstar Launched A New Grand Theft Auto

ZYDIO

@JayJ That's why I have been investing my money and getting physical copies of original Xbox games, Xbox 360 games, gathering up multiple consoles of each and refurbishing them. I've been buying up the good Xbox One and One X games and I buy a Series X game every once in a while if it's awesome and I can get a good deal on it. I have accelerated my hunting for the older games and get them pretty cheap actually and I'm only buying complete in box copies. A lot of these new games have pretty graphics and are huge and have lots of stuff to do, but the lots of stuff to do seems mostly meaningless, repetitive and boring. All anyone has to do is fire up pretty much any good Xbox 360 game and the first 5 minutes will blow your mind. Nowadays I'm 30 hours in wondering when the fun is going to start. That's okay though because I'd much rather buy 5 to 15 original Xbox and Xbox 360 games than spend money on 1 or 2 newer games. I think a lot of what's going on as well is how much money it's costing to make these newer games and it's at a weird spot right now where the developers and trying to save money, but also put something out they can make money on.

Re: Talking Point: It's Now Been Over 10 Years Since Rockstar Launched A New Grand Theft Auto

ZYDIO

@JayJ They shouldn't even call it Grand Theft Auto anymore, I'm going to start calling it: Gonna Take Alot........to keep me interested. I'm almost scared to see what scaled down, neutered concoction they're going to come up with and try to disguise an open world game with good graphics as something great when in reality it's probably empty and unsatisfying and full of politically correct everything everywhere. I want the opposite of that, I want to be walking down the city streets and look to my left and see some hooker giving a blowjob and a handjob at the same time to two dudes that just made some bank at the casino and the pimp comes up behind them and knocks their asses out and takes all their money and leaves them in the alley unconscious and broke with their dicks hanging out. That's the Grand Theft Auto I want. At least I still have all of my hard copies of all of the games.

Re: Microsoft Has No Plans To Drop Support For Xbox Series S

ZYDIO

@JDCII I never got tired of those games when I was a kid and I still don't get tired of them now. There are so many masterpieces, just hit after hit after hit. I can just play them endlessly. It seems like every time I do, I discover something new that I didn't the previous times I played.

Re: Microsoft Has No Plans To Drop Support For Xbox Series S

ZYDIO

@JDCII Here's something that I just thought about. I don't know if this is going to make sense to anyone else, but since the Series S is digital only, you're locked in to buying games from the Microsoft store. Which everybody knows, but what you're locked out of is buying the games really cheap from wherever. So in the short run or the long run that $200 difference gets eaten up pretty quick by overpaying for games on the store. That's another reason I don't think the Series S makes any sense. I go to game stores all the time and find games that are still going for $60 on the Microsoft store, I'll find them for $10 or less on disc. Here's something else I just realized, without the disc drive you're locked out of disc backwards compatibility which will also save you tons of money because all of those older games are way overpriced on the Microsoft store. Basically what I'm saying is that you might as well spend the $500 instead of $300 and not have any limitations because you're going to end up spending it anyway. Also don't even get me started on NES and SNES, I love those damn things. I do still have a few NES's from when I was a kid and they work great, I just have them put back. I went as far as getting a Retro USB AVS, an Everdrive N8 Pro and an 8BitDo Bluetooth board for the NES controller.

Re: Microsoft Has No Plans To Drop Support For Xbox Series S

ZYDIO

@JDCII I didn't mean $500. The $200 is the difference between the Series S cost and the Series X cost. What I was saying is, that you have all of those other things, to me it doesn't compute that you would not be able to afford the difference between a $300 Series S and a $500 Series X. I still don't even understand why they came out with the series s if it was to just save people money I get it but the difference between the price of the Series S and the Series X is $10 less three brand new full price games. I think they shouldn't have come out with a Series S and just released the cloud streaming dongle/controller bundle that connects your TV and then partnered with the other TV manufacturers to have the app on the smart TVs.

Re: Phil Spencer Responds To Concerns Over New Xbox Enforcement System

ZYDIO

Yea, they need to completely separate and disassociate online multiplayer interactions and Xbox Live from purchase history. It makes absolutely no sense that those two would be connected whatsoever. I'm pretty sure that if I use my Google account to sign into a website, that I'm not going to have all of my Google stuff taken away and shut down if I make a post that Google doesn't agree with. I also mostly play single player story driven games. The only multiplayer games I really played in the past to some extent are Elder Scrolls Online and some Call of Duty. The only multiplayer games I play lately are Aliens Fire Team Elite, Halo infinite and The Division 2 but I rarely talk to anyone on there and even more rarely in game chat.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Xbox Live Memory?

ZYDIO

Day one on Xbox live using the voice changer to freak out all the sh_it talking little kids. A few friends and I ganged up on those little b_astards.
I think the game we were playing with Mech Assault because I played a lot of that. I'm pretty sure that was the first game I played on Xbox Live. I know I played a lot of Unreal Tournament also and Phantasy Star Online towards the beginning. I don't remember if it was at the very beginning though. Oh and Crimson Skies. I have also had the same gamertag since day one, it's the same as my username on here.

Re: Phil Spencer Responds To Concerns Over New Xbox Enforcement System

ZYDIO

@GunValkyria That's exactly what happened to me on Playstation a few years ago for the exact reason this article is about. Funny thing was, I wasn't using a microphone at all and sent no one any messages. Someone reported that I said something. I don't even know what it was because they wouldn't tell me, they just said, "oh, we got a report, now your banned and you lose all of your purchases". I had no way to defend myself or even know what I did except for they said I used profanity. That's okay, because I sued them and settled out of court for a large amount of money that was far more than what I paid for the games on my account. I'm legally and technically not supposed to talk about it as it was part of the agreement, but I'm not sharing any information that could associate anything with me. If Microsoft ever does this to me they're going to have hell to pay as that won't be my first rodeo.
I hardly talk to anyone outside of party chat anyway. What I usually end up doing lately is getting whoever's phone number and we just talk on the phone and blend it with game audio. That way they can't do a damn thing. So, is it okay to say whatever you want on party chat and they don't have a problem with it and it's just in game chat that they have a problem with that can get you strikes?

@Kaloudz I remember connecting my Dreamcast to dial up, but it just dialed my normal ISP number, which was a local number and there was no charge for dialing it and then I just paid my normal monthly fee for internet access. I did get the ethernet adapter and connect it to broadband for a short time before I stopped playing it online. Was Dream Areana a separate charge on top of the normal internet access cost?
