@Fiendish-Beaver You say it is cheaper to move to PlayStation, but I think you are forgetting about the libraries people have accumulated that could be worth 100's or 1000's of dollars. I highly doubt that people are more willing to move to a new platform and have to purchase new hardware and repurchase all of their games again, when it would be much easier and probably cheaper to get a decent gaming PC and have most or all games in their libraries be available on PC as well as the cloud and whatever device. I find it also highly implausible that any remotely sane person would invest in any kind ecosystem where they take away "steal" your purchases because they improperly contracted with the content providers.

@Fiendish-Beaver Why do you and many others assume just because games are on different platform that people will leave Xbox to play games somewhere else? Myself and more than likely many others are perfectly happy where they're at. It comes off as sounding like Xbox is the most horrible place to play games and the only reason we're staying here is because certain games are not available on other platforms.

I can't even think about all the ones I won't get to play or I would just be sad, so I have a list with a random game choice generator and I usually play what it tells me to, haha.

@CaptainCluck I think you can still purchase the same games from the website and play them on the 360. Also you can purchase them on the One/Series X/S and play them on a 360, but those are just for BC games.

@TheSimulator Nobody cares about exclusives anymore. That is an archaic way of thinking and has been for a very long time. Don't worry about it affecting Xbox console sales either, it's not your job.

I'm currently playing it, it started off kind of slow but it seems to be getting interesting now. The frame rate is all over the place and that's on Series X. A 50 TFLOP powerhouse. 10 Ghz 64 core CPU, Dual GPU's equivalent to 10x 4090's with 96GB video RAM each and 96GB system RAM. 12TB solid state drive with 48GB p/s. Capable of 16K 240fps. With support up to four screens. All consoles will include Xbox series 3 elite controller. All for the low price of $600 because Microsoft don't give a fooouuuck and they're going to whoop everybody because they got the money to foooouuuck around with.

Update: I just called all of my local game stores and none of them have had even the slightest increase in people selling Xboxes or Xbox games since the announcement was made and I checked online sites new listings and nothing out of the ordinary there either. So I have data to disprove your statements, do you have data to disprove mine?

@Phantasystar77 I comprehend exactly why PR departments exist and it's not to deal with rumors or speculation. It is to deal with and communicate with people about real issues that actually exist. If you acknowledge and discuss things that are not true, that will actually lower trust and confidence. Do you have a source where the community is shattered, people are leaving Xbox and staying away, because I can't find anything that shows proof of that. You may think that's what's happening and you may want that to happen but that doesn't make it a reality of any kind. I am sure that you really believe what you're saying and that's fine, but remember it's just your own opinion. I guess I just don't care about it as much as you do because it's just video games. Also, I'll wait to react when I actually hear something from the source. I'm not going to waste my time otherwise. Maybe you should do the same because it just seems like a lot of wasted energy.

Rumors happen constantly and companies rarely respond to or acknowledge them. Why is this situation any different? I find your expectation odd. Why is everyone reacting to rumors and speculation? It makes no sense to me. I've seen over 20 videos on YouTube today about all of this and all I can wonder is how those people wasted so much of their life making those videos that mean absolutely nothing.

I'm going back and forth whether to get this or not. I have the wingman XB2. That allows me to use my Series X and Elite 2 controllers on the OG Xbox AND Xbox 360, so I can use the same controller on all platforms. It is very tempting though.

@lokozar Yes they do, but they are using stock Xbox controllers and modifying them. I think that's how they are getting around that.

@lokozar Because 1. They are supposed to have less latency and 2. They probably don't want to pay for the wireless license from Microsoft. Actually, I'm not sure Microsoft even licenses the wireless technology for controllers. It might be just for headsets.

I've been live streaming now that I got my new capture card dialed in. I'm playing through Peter Jackson's King Kong for Xbox 360 on the Series X and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - Dawn of Ragnarok. Sundays (today) are my days to play a mixture of racing and multiplayer games, so I'll probably be playing any combination on Forza games, Halo Infinite, The Elder Scrolls Online and The Division 2. Between all Xbox generations, I have about 600 physical games, all complete in box as well. If I include digital, I have over 1100. Most of my digital games are from games with gold and the ones that are not, a good amount of them are duplicates of my physical games.

I've been playing it since release in 2013 or 2014 and it has changed and grown so much. I do multiplayer stuff sometimes, but I mostly just do quests. I keep buying the expansions is why I'm still playing it and the reason I keep buying the expansions is because they put them on sale every year really cheap. So I guess it's going to be an endless cycle.

@NoLifeDGenerate I do agree with your last sentence. I would be a lot more confident in the digital only future if that situation got corrected. As well as ensure that we do not lose access to our digital purchases.

You are a Ubisoft employee or maybe it's even bigger than that, maybe you're a plant from all of the major media companies trying to brainwash us to make us think there's something wrong with physical media, because you sure are against it for some reason. If you are using a secondary account because of "trolls/hackers" and you want to play on a console that isn't your home console, you have to sign in with two accounts at one time to be able to play your games. I am very well versed in how digital licensing works.

@NoLifeDGenerate I find it hilarious that you think your digital library is for keeps. Sony and Nintendo have already taken away entire digital libraries on multiple platforms each. It has also happened to me with Sony with my PlayStation 3 library. They console banned my PS3, removed all of my purchases and told me tough luck when they accused me of violating the terms of service by talking Schit on game chat. I did not have a mic, never used game chat, didn't send any messages and they admitted that they couldn't see or hear what actually happened. They gave me no option to appeal the decision, the decision was made before they even contacted me and they told me, "oh well, deal with it" basically. I had well over $1000 in purchases and my console was permanently useless online. So, what was that you were saying again about digital libraries being for keeps? I'm not the only one that has happened to obviously and that was years ago. And how can you say that when you are well aware of what Sony just pulled with the purchased TV shows? I bet you are one to partake in the "Kool Aid".

I don't know how I keep forgetting this. Digital games don't allow you to sell, trade, loan or borrow. They need to fix that as well. More proof that they are rentals and not purchases.

@OldGamer999 In the US it is treated as property and works the same way. Microsoft even has a place to set the up in the Microsoft account.
