@FarmDog08 Everything doesn't have to be serious, "Farmdog". Maybe you should try it sometime. I'm sure someone laughed at that, so it would be considered a contribution. I also think your response contributes less to the thread than mine.

@OldGamer999 I get what you're saying but games aren't always supposed to be like that. Games are an artistic expression first and when humans are creating art they're not always thinking about technical things. I do understand that these are products that they sell to people and unfinished crappy games are not acceptable, but there is a balance in there somewhere that needs to happen.

@Ver Well I've been sitting here contemplating all day if I should forgive you or not. I mean that kind of crossed the line and I'm just not sure. I'm obviously just messing with you. It takes a lot more than that to hurt my feelings, but apology accepted. Edit: I almost forgot to reply to the rest of what you said. I had no idea they were making that much money on Game Pass. If that's the case then maybe it is working and what is good for gaming, who knows. I think as long as they put quality first and it is still affordable, then it might be okay. I don't want them to have 500 games that suck instead of five that are awesome.

I figure they are just trying to make Xbox like the other parts of their business. They sell Windows and Office, yet offer some Microsoft branded hardware. They sell Xbox software and offer some hardware to use it with just the same. I really think that rumor about opening up Xbox console to other manufacturers is probably a reality, but like everyone is saying, how can they make money at it if Microsoft takes a loss? What I think is gonna happen, like I said before is that Xbox is going to just be a PC with certain spec guidelines as tiers and a the Xbox software front end. Then they can have manufacturers sell their version just like they do with PCs and there doesn't have to be any custom hardware made. I'm my opinion that's really the only way forward. Custom console hardware is just not sustainable price wise. You start getting into gaming PC pricing real quick, so why not just do that. I'm also sure they will find a way to keep backwards compatibility working so all of our Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X games will work on this new platform, which means that we will probably be able to do all of that on a normal PC as well. I'm guessing that it will probably only apply to digital purchases. Most people don't have disc drives anymore and most people probably never bought a Blu-ray drive for their computer. It would also be a piracy nightmare.

@NEStalgia I bet they could pull a never heard of move, such as an offer to PS users to match their digital library purchases from PS the best they could and that still wouldnt be enough to get most of them to switch to Xbox. I really think the main reason Xbox isn't #1 is because they missed out on the real migration to digital libraries. It's really sad because I do believe most things about Xbox and the entire Microsoft ecosystem are far superior in technology and ideas than the competition. They just need to manage it correctly. It's like they have a gold mine they are sitting on and they are just using it to sit around the camp fire, drinking beer.

@Ver The only thing I'm surprised about is how Game Pass is sustainable and how it hasn't destroyed Xbox yet. That statement applies to it's current state. I think it would be perfect if they used it only for games that had already made their money. Sell all games at normal price normally until they made their money back and it aren't selling anymore.

@Traygor I will not own a PlayStation or anything made by Sony because they are a terrible company. They steal purchases and remotely brick hardware from people because they feel like it, and that's coming from personal experience multiple times. If I want to play Playstation exclusive games I buy them on PC and only DRM free. I do not trust that company with anything at all whatsoever and neither should anyone on the planet. They have proven time and time again that they are not trustworthy and they are thieves. How and why people keep doing business with them is mind-boggling. Look at just recent news, they've taken away people's purchases and that whole Helldivers 2 thing. The Xbox ecosystem and hardware is a lot better suited for me. A lot of the things I buy on and for the Xbox also work on the PC as well as a lot of my hardware and accessories. If for any other reason I can't stand their damn controllers, they are absolutely horrible and uncomfortable, poor quality and no user removable batteries. The Xbox controllers let you do whatever you want (except Elite 2). You can use non-rechargeable or rechargeable double A's or use a battery pack or just use it wired. You asked me a loaded question and I'm not going to just keep on rambling about why I can't stand Sony or Playstation so I'm going to shut up now. I will say this, I used to have PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 and I actually liked them better sometimes than my Xbox or Xbox 360 but that all changed because of the way they treated me.

@Traygor Haha, oh yeah, sorry I was halfway awake when I wrote that. What I'm saying is there is all this doom and gloom news that's overdramaticizing everything about Xbox just because they're doing something unorthodox and unconventional. They don't see the big plan that Microsoft is preparing for. Microsoft sees where gaming and technology is going and they see how it's shifting and they're just adapting. I'm not saying they're doing it all correctly in my opinion, but I think they have to do something or they're going to get left behind. I think in the long run they will be the ones prepared for what the future brings and the others will get left behind if they don't adapt and change. They have all the pieces of the puzzle to make gaming awesome and successful again, it's up to them to put them together correctly. I used to work for Microsoft when the original Xbox was released and I still have some friends that work there. Sometimes they feed me little bits of info here and there to let me know what's going on behind the scenes. All I'm saying is get ready for a whole bunch of awesome.

@Meehanuk_1987 I think Microsoft just realizes they are limiting themselves but trying to stick with treating Xbox as just an ecosystem tied to a certain piece of hardware. Xbox has become pretty much just an ecosystem that's going to be available on any device, which is what everyone has wanted forever. You buy a game once and it works everywhere on anything you play it on and you get the best version and cloud gaming is included as well. Like I said, that's what everyone's been asking for all these years and they're finally getting it and now people are upset about it for some reason. Microsoft owns so many studios now that it would be stupid to try to contain all of that within the Xbox hardware only ecosystem.

Now this one was very to find so I had to start playing it right away: Harold and Kumars Epic and Fantastic yet Stoned as Hell Journey to the New White Castle "Dazed and Infused Edition" restaurant. You can unlock NPH as a playable character as well as his Doogie Howser Skin.
