I finished Plague Tale: Requiem a couple of days ago. Needless to say, I cried my eyes out when I finally reached the end. I won't spoil anything, but I never expected them to do that. I'm going to rate it as a 9 out of 10. Sure, some stealth sections were a bit annoying, but remember that this isn't COD where you can just shoot and kill everyone with ease. Anyways, I'll play some Heroes vs Villains in Battlefront II. Have a nice weekend everyone!
Plague Tale: Requiem. I'm on Chapter Six, and god the game is too hard to put down. Quite powerful storytelling and I can't wait to see the ending. Guys, just go and play it, RIGHT NOW!
@Kaloudz Exactly! Let's take a look at the PS4 for example. Naughty Dog's Last of Us Part II ran at a stable 30 fps on an ancient machine that is powered by those super slow, super old Jaguar cores. It's all about optimization and taking the time to scale down some things. If it means that we can't get ray tracing, but in return, we get 60 fps at 1080p, then I'm fine with that.
@Blessed_Koz I know that the Series S has a relatively "weak" GPU compared to the X and the PS5, but that's NO EXCUSE to s**t on the system. DICE managed to optimize their Battlefront II to run on potato PCs and these devs are telling me it's hard to work with a far superior architecture?! I'm sick and tired of badmouthing the S, when clearly the problem is on their end.
How on Earth are they "struggling" with a console that is way more powerful than the XONE and PS4 combined?! I'm not a dev, and I won't make any claims about how game development works, but logic says that they're full of s**t.
I need to stock up on tissues lool! Knowing how the first one made me cry, it's better to be safe than sorry. Still can't believe it's so close to release, GIVE IT TO ME NOW!
Even though I was disappointed with the whole mute protagonist thing, I must say I'm frickin excited for this game. It checks all the boxes of an immersive RPG, and I do love my space exploration. Hope the story is as good as it looks.
Battlefront II definitely. It managed to become the best Star Wars multiplayer game after causing EA to lose billions in the stock market lol! Anthem could've had an epic comeback, and even though I was devastated, it made sense to pour all available talent into Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
Having played it first on the PS4, a native X/S version would definitely elevate the fun factor. Those horrible loading screens need to go. Other than that, I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything mindblowing, but for a AA game, it was fairly enjoyable. I had more fun with Greedfall though..
If this game ever sees the light of day, remember NO PRE-ORDERS! CD Projekt Red doesn't deserve a single cent until they prove that we can trust them again. Until then, support studios that actually deserve your money.
@gollumb82 Not broken, but definitely unfinished. Let's go back to their E3 demo, and let's hear their promises again. A deep RPG with branching paths and a lively open world that reacts to your decisions. Wall climbing (missing), hacking (missing), in game mods (missing), flying cars (missing) etc. I could go on and on but I think you get where I'm coming from. If you bought the game at launch and you're happy with it's current state, then I'm glad you got your money's worth. For XONE and PS4 players, yeah lol.
@Darylb88 I'm not losing any sleep over Cyberpunk or CDPR, trust me lol. All I'm saying is, having a broken, unfinished product sell as many as 20 million units is MADNESS! Far more deserving games have sold way less, and we're talking about polished, complete products.
Yet it's nowhere near completed nor will it ever be. Still can't believe that this garbage received 10s and 9s in it's launch state. Sure, it's much more stable now BUT one expansion won't magically erase all the lies CDPR spewed over the years.
I'll jump into Hood: Outlaws and Legends because nothing beats Robin landing a headshot lol! After that, maybe I'll check out Scarlet Nexus but I don't think I'll play a lot this Saturday because I have plans with my boyfriend. Have a lovely weekend everyone!
That's a load of bullcr*p. Far more demanding games managed to run at a stable 30 fps on ancient machines as the PS4 and XONE, and these guys are telling me that the Series S is hard to work with?! Gurl, shut up lol. And since I'm being shady, their game looks like an upscaled PS2 title.
And in Twitter fashion, people started attacking Focus for working with a Russian game studio. Quite disgusting, considering it's a game made by ordinary people. I for one am super excited to try this out on Game Pass!
I bought it when I still had my Playstation 4, and boy it was one of the worst games I ever played. Sure it's beautiful to look at and explore, but the rest of the game is a frustrating mess. A terrible story that nearly put me to sleep a couple of times, plus the combat got too repetitive after just an hour or so. Do yourselves a favor, and don't waste your time on it.
Not sure how I feel about this. I would rather have Microsoft because they already have a good business relationship with EA, not to mention EA Play is a part of GamePass. As long as they don't mess with Mass Effect, Dragon Age, maybe I could see the benefit in the long run. However, this begs the question if we'll have any independent publishers left in the industry?

Re: The First 'Scorn' Reviews Have Arrived, And Feedback Is Mixed So Far
@Kaloudz Yeah. It looked way too similar to Agony and we know how that one turned out.
Hopefully, Scorn turns out better.

@gollumb82 Don't worry about EA titles because once they are added to EA Play, they're staying put.
