Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 7-8)

Just started playing Marvel's Midnight Suns some days ago. Was a bit sceptical going in but I really love it now. The story and the social aspect are way better than I expected. And the fighting is excellent done, so much impact and strategic possibilities combined with voice acting and great sound effects. Having so much fun!

Re: Looking Ahead To A Brighter 2023 For Xbox Game Studios

I love game pass and really enjoyed what we got this year in terms of games and perks. But it worries me when the output from 23 studios is so meager. Phil must meet Sonys raw thug style
with more than smiles and greetings! Now Xbox users just get the cold leftover from companies like Square Enix...

Re: NFS Unbound Dev Says Leaving Xbox One Behind Led To 'Transformative Racing Experience'

I really like Unbound; it is rewarding and offers a good challenge. Physics are very much depended on what car and upgrades you have, how you tweak the handling and how you choose to handle the car. There is a real feeling of progressing in Unbound that is lacking in Forza 5, where start out with high end cars and after som hours you basically have a ton of super cars without even winning any single race.

Unbound and the heat system makes for an exciting and thrilling experience combined with betting, entry fees and very competitive a.i drivers. Forza is more like an interactive car magazine. I like Forza, but I get tired of it so fast.

Graphics in Unbound is nice and the city is custom made to be fun to race in, it´s really sharp with excellent lightning and fun story. Loads of story elements and chatter helps a lot.

You have to commit to Unbound and play at least the first week after the Prologue to get to know the games physics and what is possible. Of course, everyone's opinion differs, but this is how I feel.

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Think Of Dead Space-Like 'The Callisto Protocol'

It looks great, but horror game is a niche. And it seems to do nothing new or exciting besides the sweet graphics. It is probably fine for lovers of horror but not for many reviewers. They tend to want evolution mostly.

I like horror games where you can move like a normal being and not the typical "I am a fright with leg". There are other ways to create tension. Like a fear system where you fumble more if you are unsuccessful in killing monsters and more stable when you do. Would be more realistic. Or just let us move like a normal human without forced slowness.

Re: Review: A Plague Tale: Requiem - An Incredible AAA Adventure On Xbox Game Pass

Looks very nice and sounds as good, but it is not form me. Tried the first and now this and it is too much "on rails". There is almost only one way to proceed and everywhere there is invisible walls even on the ground.

And the mechanics with metal objects in a crate appearing in every corner is breaking the immersion, combined with guards that when alerted can state in a corner for like minutes or more. Impressive to look at, but less so to play...
