10 Discounted Games You Should Buy In The Xbox Spring Sale 2025

After a few weeks of eager anticipation, Xbox's big Spring Sale is now live for 2025, and there's over 1,000 games discounted in total - across pretty much every generation of Xbox.

Naturally, then, it's going to take some good scouring and browsing to see what games you might like to pick up - but if you're short on time and need some inspiration, we've curated 10 of the biggest and best games available in this mammoth sale.

We've tried to bring some nice variety to this list — including a backwards compatible classic or two — but chances are, you can't go wrong with pretty much any of these discounted titles. Now, onto the list!

Baldur's Gate 3 (Xbox Series X|S)

Where else can this list realistically start other than the titan that is Baldur's Gate 3? After months and months of extra development time to get the Xbox Series S version up to scratch, Larian Studios delivered this mammoth RPG right at the tail end of 2023 - and so successful has it been that we've rarely seen it on sale since.

We're only talking a 20% discount with this one, but given the sheer breadth and depth of this current-gen CRPG, it's surely still worth the discounted price tag - and then some.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (Xbox Series X|S)

Don't Nod's Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden massively flew under the radar when it launched just over a year ago - but that hasn't stopped it from gaining a bit of a cult following in the time since. The team behind Life is Strange delivered this spooky New England AA action-RPG and absolutely nailed what it set out to do - we really enjoyed our time with it in early 2024.

We've seen this one drop to a 50% discount a few times before, but this is again the cheapest it's been so far, so it's a big recommend from us. Just make sure you're ready for some emotional spooks out there.

Death Stranding Director's Cut (Xbox Series X|S)

We had to exercise some sweet sweet patience to wait for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding to finally launch on Xbox - but it did so last year, and we couldn't do anything other than give it a straight 10/10 in our full Pure Xbox review.

We know that Mr. Kojima is working on something big and shiny and new with Xbox in form of OD — which we absolutely can't wait for — but in the meantime, Death Stranding Director's Cut is absolutely worth playing through. You'll need a bit more of that thing called patience we mentioned at the start just to get through it, but trust us, the payoff will be worth it in the end.

Hogwarts Legacy (Xbox Series X|S)

If you've not gotten around to playing Hogwarts Legacy yet, then, what are you waiting for?! We're kidding, of course — there are way more games than there is time to play them these days — but this Harry Potter bonanza is one of the best single-player games in recent memory - and it's finally getting to an impulse-buy price tag at this point.

We're looking at the 'Digital Deluxe' version here for what we reckon is the best deal, and it's a whopping 75% off, which you just can't complain at really. Now might be the time to start your wizarding adventure on Xbox!

Nobody Wants to Die (Xbox Series X|S)

Nobody Wants to Die came out of nowhere when it launched on Xbox Series X|S last summer - having endured a very short marketing lead time from publisher PLAION. That left us a little worried leading up to our review of the story-driven cyberpunk thriller last July — but we needn't be — the game was just as captivating as its premise had always hinted at.

You probably shouldn't expect much in terms of in-depth gameplay mechanics from this one, but Nobody Wants to Die delivers a short and snappy detective story all about the trials and tribulations of eternal life - and it's well worth a go at less than a tenner.
