When a game is Xbox timed exclusive = on other consoles in 6 to 12 months.
When a game is PlayStation timed exclusive = never on other consoles.

It was time to o end Gold not because of an arbitrary name but because of its paid online status.
Gamepass Core not only doesn't solve that, it's going to harm actual Gamepass via confusion because now you have an inferior product with the Gamepass name on the market.
Just have one subscription with the full Gamepass catalogue, paid online and have it be more expensive.
Terrible decision.

I don't trust the CMA as far as I can throw them and I would have closed the deal as soon as I was allowed to.
But that's why we are neither the CEO of Xbox.
These people play 9D chess and when they do something, they've probably looked at all other outcomes.
Of course I wanted this to be over asap and it bums me out that now it's October.
But it's probably the least painful way to do it for MS.

@S1ayeR74 Yeah, this is what we know for sure. As it stands:
1) MS can close the deal tomorrow if they so choose.
2) If they don't close by the 18th they pay an extra 3 billion.
3) It has already been reported that ABK stock is being removed from NASDAQ by Monday.
So, it's a certainty it's closing this weekend.

CMA are not acting in good faith. First they agree to renegotiate then they say a new investigation will launch.
Now they want to move everything past the 18th which they know is when MS would have to pay 3 bn out of pocket.
They tried to move the court date past July and weren't granted that so now they do it outside court.
MS probably shouldn't have agreed to this.
Then again, their lawyers know better.

This is so bizzare but now it makes sense why they delisted emulation on Retail.
It's a pretty good alternative at an amazing price but it was never going to solve the exclusive problem.
You'll never see a Nintendo game on a service like that.

This was the only thing that let me down. Absolutely horrible and I hope it was just the terrible trailer. Looks nothing like it did when they first announced it.
There should be more clapback for games looking nothing like their first showing.

@TheGrimOne I've used them probably more than fifty times and I only had an issue once with a pre-order.
They still refunded me but I haven't pre-ordered since.
Still, their track record is impeccable and they are definitely trustworthy.

I think it's a good month. It would obviously be much better if we got four games instead of two, especially if they're not super expensive or well known games.
But I was interested in both of them.
Now, could I have bought either of them for 3 bucks off Eneba? Probably.
But free is still better, right?
Vale looks very interesting and Adios sounds like a game I might enjoy so it's a good month for me.

@Ephexis83 All third party Xbox controllers are wired. I think it's something in the wireless communication between controller and console that's proprietary.
Even the Hyperkin Duke which is supposedly an officially licensed controller is wired only.

Hope this deal is dead. I am an Xbox guy and I wanted this to happen but not at the cost it has incurred over Gamepass and Xbox's victim narrative.
If this isn't a call to make everything a paid exclusive now to Xbox, from Final Fantasy to Peppa Pig then maybe Phil should really pack his stuff and go.

It has to be Fallout. Think about it. We know that the timetable for BGS is Starfield in 2023, TESVI next and there's a one pager for Fallout 5
TESVI will be this decade, probably 2028-9 and then Fallout 5 by 2033-4.

I don't think they can alter DEV mode at all but you never know...
For now we know it's safe when retail is and if there ever was a plan to disable it on DEV, wouldn't it be now?
I think you'd be safe with a Series S strictly on DEV mode for emulation.

@MagicCat For me, it almost always leads to a freeze. I usually hold the power button for a few seconds and then it does a little thing where it turns on and off. After that, it usually boots normally but it's too scary every time.
Totally not worth it unless you have a dedicated unit just for DEV mode.

@ZuneTattooGuy How do you know if I'm a dev or not? And tons of people use DEV mode to sideload apps. You don't need to be a developer to access it.
