Xbox fans have been forced to wait almost half a year for any kind of Square Enix news, but now we finally have confirmation that at least one game from the publisher will release on Microsoft's platform in 2023. Phew!

That game is Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai, which was announced a few hours ago for Xbox Series X|S (along with other platforms). Barring any further announcements, it will mark the first Square Enix game to arrive on Microsoft's platform since Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion in December of last year.

Here's a bit about what you can expect from this new Dragon Quest game on Xbox:

"The legendary DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai manga and anime arrives as an exhilarating action RPG! Relive the events of the anime in INFINITY STRASH as you take charge of Dai and the Disciples of Avan in their battle against the Dark Army!"

Two of the key features in The Adventure of Dai include Bond Memories, which are items that recreate iconic scenes from the original manga, and the Temple of Recollection which features over 100 room combinations in an endless dungeon, "where monsters and traps change each time you enter".

Pre-orders are available now on the Xbox Store for £49.99 / $59.99, with a release date of September 28th, 2023.
