I heard countries around the world are dropping windows in favour of ai. And MS seems to be behind in the AI race? Will this be the start of an enormous fall from grace for the company?

@HonestHick yes which goes back to my point about this being a cost vs revenue exercise. Less people on the books makes the revenue look better. The problem with capitalism frankly. I’d still take it over the other obvs but we are kind of reaching a crescendo now in the capitalist world. The future for my kids is a big worry for me. What will it be like in 10/20 years time

@Questionable_Duck Xbox did it out of necessity since they conditioned their own users into subs based rental gaming. PS and Nintendo don’t have that problem. PS makes more revenue than Nintendo Xbox and even pc. To me this seems like an exercise to increase revenue over costs but I’m sure they could have shuttered a less beloved studio than Bluepoint. Not sure I’ll ever forgive them for this one. Took me a long time to get over evolution lol

@Balaam_ yes it really is that simple lol. Don’t see how that’s a headline really. Let’s look at the improvements the PRO gives to a game like Gran Turismo 7 for example and its extra gears are clear too see. The RT implementation is sublime which base PS5 cannot do

The dualsense is pukka. I don’t get why you wouldn’t use a symmetrical layout when you’re hands are symmetrical (well unless you’ve had an accident with a lathe or something)

@TrollOfWar no but they’d also be stupid to stop making the SP stuff considering the sales of some of the franchises since PS4 gen. Spider-Man and horizon alone are nearing 100m copies. I guess the idea is to have some MP games like Helldivers that will pay for the SP games we all know and love. Seems a sensible strategy

@fatpunkslim well the bigger reveal at the end was the god of war trilogy remake that is absolutely huge! The 2.5 was a bonus addition to that which isn’t bad at all. I thought it was an excellent showing. And considering the first party stuff we already know of there is going to be too much to buy on PS5 in the near future I’d say. That’s the bonus of keeping first party locked in, people can make the choice of having all the best third party releases plus the first party when it drops. I guess that’s now lost on MS as they have made everything available to any platform devaluating its hardware even more(well except switch it seems)

I’ll be giving FH6 a miss. I got bored with 5 pretty quickly. I prefer competitive online sim racing

The price is a bit rubbish (when I paid £70 for it 😆) but the game is incredible

@themightyant Considering GTAV has just hit 225 million sales I don’t think Rockstar will be worrying about sales. It’s going to break the records GTAV set you can bet your left leg on it. And the major console players are going to do well off the back of it. GTA is probably the biggest hardware shifter going. I reckon both Xbox and PS will sell millions of consoles off the back of it

May end up getting it at some point but I got rather bored of 5 after about 30 hours and ended up back on GT. hopefully there’s a physical as I’m done with digital rip offs. we will see

If the gunplay is top tier Bungie should be decent. I’m more of a single player gamer but since Helldivers 2 I’m actually interested more and more with MP

@IssaBrvndo the guy I get my PS1 games from on eBay has a very good condition copy right now. £150 odd I think . Chillout games.co.uk is his website or find him on eBay. Best seller around and does all platforms too. If they remake that I would lose it literally lol

@HonestHick I would argue that on first party games it’s excellent. Just come from Spider-Man 2 to forbidden west and the graphics are astonishing. But yeah shadows also top draw the rtgi changes the game entirely

FF7 og is one of the greatest video games ever made imo

I liked that car game on the first Xbox. Used to play it at a mates house. Can’t remember what it’s called for the life of me but the car looked like the back to the future Delorean and you used to trash the place lol gonna try remember it without googling 😂

@TheGameThrifter I’d say the first few years of PS3 was by far the worst Sony output ever. PS5 has been barnstorming in comparison

If you only want third party (which includes MS games now because they are) and are happy renting your games the. Xbox is a good place to play. If no then it’s PS

From a PS perspective I’d look forward too fable probably. I thought Horizon 5 got a bit boring tbh and I’ve never heard of beast reincarnation. Will the surprise be something from Bethesda? Fallout 3 remake ?

Cloud gaming is rubbish. Majority of homes in the world have mediocre internet connections at best. I live in the UK a fairly well off country and mine is up and down like a yo-yo making cloud gaming a non-viable way to game. Back to the drawing board MS

@themightyant we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one then. It’s more just multiplayer and it’s hardly a store either. It just has money packs to buy, no battle passes or cosmetics . It’s even less than AC shadows for example and that isn’t live service either imo

@themightyant I’m not sure GT7bis live service 💁. Just because it’s always online or has a multiplayer mode doesn’t make it live service. Fortnite/Diabloiv are my idea of live service. Constantly changing and evolving whereas GT just gets new cars added every other month and has multiplayer racing
