Epic Games Boss Calls New Xbox Leadership Team 'World Class', Asha Sharma Responds

I've said it before but, Asha really does seem to be making a lot of strong and positive moves so far.

Yes, it’s looking good, but we shouldn’t get carried away either. We’re still waiting for real strategic decisions — especially regarding exclusives.
As for the analysts who joined the team, we should be careful, because some of them were the ones who advised Phil Spencer back in the day to go all‑in on multiplatform (without considering the damage to the brand, the fanbase, the hardware, etc.).

I’d say the best member of the Xbox team is still its own community. I’m not saying they should listen to every random request, but at least pay attention to the things that come up the most — like we saw with Xbox Player Voice.

I'd be a little wary of Sweeney praise, as of late hes oversaw some massive fumbles. Still, so far so good with Asha.

I really hope in a years time we don't look back and say "if only we knew how bad things are about to get.."

So, staying optimistic, I want to believe she's got a huge list of things that Phil handed to her as a "these are things I WANTED to do before the AI reckoning hit us."

I also hope they are VERY careful with any purchases they may make in the future. Seriously. As much as Eidos Montreal or Remedy would fit as an Xbox studio, the corpses of some of their studios shut down recently are still lukewarm.

I won't forget or be thrilled for new purchases after something like that.

@fatpunkslim I very much agree, lately I’ve seen the wave of Xbox ‘content creators’ (who just a year ago still had Phil Spencer as god and defending the multiplatform pivot) now claiming Asha is the best ever because she changed the logo and wrote XBOX all in caps…

And don’t get me wrong, I like those things, I like having updates on consoles again and the new logo looks cool, but this is not nearly enough to repair the damage they’ve done to themselves, consoles are still not selling, hell they aren’t even being distributed, in my city it’s been since November that we last saw a Xbox Series X or S on shelves, there’s still A LOT of work to do and big decisions to make (specially on the exclusives matter) before claiming that ‘XBOX is back’.
