@Kang81 yes I do this and I’m such a loser that I save the silliest trophy for platinum just so I get a good platinum picture. Like recently I finished Farm Sim 25 and kept the ‘pet the dog’ trophy for last so you can imagine my platinum shot 😆

I don’t game on Xbox but I do have a PSN and my current mythical/platinum count is 83 from 84 games. Yes I’m one of those 😁

@RTGX for the record. I’m not hating on Xbox! I want them to stick around so Sony don’t get a monopoly because I truly dread that. I just struggle to see how this is game changing that’s all (like the YouTube click baiters are trying to make out). It’s a nice addition obvs no denying that. But yes some on here were literally defending ads in-game. Check the article from a few days ago

@awp69 yes apparently the rumour is it’s not possible. However I’ve seen a story on Pushsqaure stating how people in the USA are now receiving store credit on digital purchases so maybe PS will roll this out to everyone as a sweetener. Still hoping the abandonment of physical gets reversed though 🤞

If this is useful for you because you can’t be arsed to go and fetch a disc good for you. I hope more people buy Xbox’s I genuinely do because the thought of Sony having free rein on the industry scares me. I also really like Xbox’s new mythical achievement!

@awp69 I’m not saying it’s a bad thing I’m just saying it’s not the saviour of Xbox like many grifting YouTubers are trying to make out it is. Also I’ve never had a PS console die since my original PS3 (ylod)

1- I’ll guarantee you ain’t got enough room on your hard drives for the amount of discs I’ve got lol. So why you need to wait for a game to download I pop mine in and I’m off 👊.

2- I’ve never lost or broken a single disc. (Even with young kids in the house)

3- I don’t have multiple consoles.

4- I can use my PS portal and play a PS5 disc from anywhere

I’m not going to say it’s a rubbish feature because that would be ridiculous, but for someone who’s mainly gaming at home with all their games on a shelf anyway I just don’t see the point. Plus like I said what percentage of Xbox gamers actually have physical games anyway? I’ll bet it’s less than PS (after years of GP abuse) 🤭. ✌🏻

@Jenkinss yes and what’s the point really? I mean I have a huge physical collection for my PS consoles. And to be able to play one of them I just walk up the stairs and grab a game off the shelf. Plus going forward when Xbox goes digital as well this is literally useless 🙈

@Dodoo problem is digital sales on PS far outweighs physical and it pains me to admit it cus I’m physical all the way. Sometimes thing have to change but this… this is insane on a whole new level and I’m shocked (not shocked) that the usual suspects would defend something like this. I’ll call Sony out for ridiculous business practices but people so wedded to Microsoft they are saying this is fine.. it’s appalling. I don’t see any adverts ever on my PS consoles. Wether on the Home Screen or store or anything

@Rimebreaker yeah I think anything that adds work for developers is a no go. We are already in a situation where developers can only be bothered to develop on one system as it is and then port the game to another so I doubt forcing them to do extra stuff especially just for achievements/trophies would fly. I do like the last one though I’ll be honest. I do play some games on hard difficulty and still grab that platinum. I’m also one of those people that has to keep my trophy list completion at 100%… 🙈.

I think adding an equivalent platinum to Xbox would solve the issue of looking at someone’s Cheevos and knowing they completed the base game even if they hadn’t completed the dlc etc cus as it stands once a dlc drops your % complete will reduce right? Whereas on PS the platinum will always show to say base game done/ cba with dlc lol first world problems 😆

@Rimebreaker well PlayStation copied the achievement system surely. I’m A PS gamer but I love that cheevo hunters will finally get a platinum equivalent

@Millionski but when you consider the S has outsold the X so how many of that 40m will be series x consoles? Ya know the PS5 competitor, 15,18m? They are shocking sales numbers man. I still can’t believe it’s done worse than Xbox one. No not just worse it’s appalling really. No wonder Sony are feeling emboldened to do what they are doing these days. But then xbox has tried to offer stuff to gamers but they don’t seem interested. Hopefully GTA gives it the shot in the arm it needs. Because without Xbox I feel Sony will get even worse
