Doesn't help that like half of the big games like Avowed and The Outer Worlds didn't meet expectations sales wise or engagement on game pass. Without Forza this would be even more messy imo.
@MrStark How would it be a devastating blow to Sony? It's already on PC and going to Switch all that's left is Xbox. And the sequel will be published by the developers so no Sony input at all.
I always see this play anywhere mentioned but are casual console players who play Fortnight and Roblox going to buy a PC hybrid over a standard console? Most parents will go with a dedicated console. And PC players hate console players at least the hardcore ones do, so how will that help XBOX when they are targeting the hardcore crowd with the Helix?
And yeah of course the business isn't health Asha your company spent years trying to kill XBOX. And now they are crawling back hoping to win some browny points. What about when the next lot of exclusives fail to reach sales targeted figures like Avowed and The Outer Worlds didn't?
I'm still so angry that if I want a new XBOX next gen I have to have windows, a hybrid, or whatever it is going to be. I want a pure console with none of that bloated nonsense. If I wanted a PC I'd buy one.
Yeah, there are still plenty of bugs. I won't buy anything from these devs again they just don't care to fix things. And it's a shame too because Oblivion is my favourite game, and it's the only way to play it on my PS5.
There has got to be a catch to all this. If I buy the next Xbox but just spend my money on buying Steam games (which I would) then won't hey lose even more money?
Also Steam has some very NSFW games on their store will I be able to play them on the next Xbox? If I get an Xbox I want to be able to play my full steam library not just a selection of games.
So first if I want a next gen Xbox I will be forced to have windows on it, and now I'll have to have an app I don't even want on my current gen console? I really hope you have to download it from the store like any other app.
I hope the next Xbox is able to play all these old games. Sure they put some good ones in the backwards compatibility program but so many great games aren't there for different reasons. If it's just the same old games I can already play on my Series S than I won't get it for a long time.
I don't think this will bring in the casuals who play Fortnight or Roblox. Too expensive and parents aren't going to buy little Jimmy a console twice as costly (if it is that much) as the cheaper more causal experience PlayStation or Nintendo offer.
I think it will be a very niche product. The average gamer isn't going to buy this over a cheaper PS6 imo. And what happens when the version of windows is abandoned eventually? Will it need an antivirus too like a desktop?

One of the few Microsoft games I'm looking forward to, and it got delayed.
Re: "It's Hard To Say" - Xbox Boss Isn't Sure The Activision Blizzard Deal Has Paid Off
They bought Activision thinking it would help them kill Sony. Look how that turned out. Maybe manage your studios a bit better eh Microsoft?

Re: Xbox Boss Wants To Create The 'Number One' Gaming Company By 'Resetting The Business'
And yet Helix won't bring in the casual crowd because it's a PC basically. The casuals (which is where the money is) will buy PS6 for little Timmy.

Re: The First Reviews Are Going Live For Starfield's Terran Armada Expansion
The space battles and ship stuff was what I hated most about Starfield so to hear there is an emphasis on that is really disappointing to me.
Re: Talking Point: 20 Years Later, How Do You Feel About The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion In 2026?
I would have liked it if they squashed more bugs before moving on. There are still the same bugs the original had in it. And some new ones.
