To conclude last night's big interview as part of Bloomberg Live, Xbox boss Asha Sharma was asked about her first 100 days in the job and what the next 100 days look like, which drew some interesting comments from the new CEO.
Initially, Sharma used the opportunity to highlight how Xbox's new team has "done so much to start to revive Xbox", pointing out how loads of new features have been shipped, Game Pass has dropped in price, and Xbox as a whole is regaining a closer relationship with its loyal fanbase.
"We've done so much to start to revive Xbox. We've shipped more in the last 100 days than we have in the last year. We've been able to reset Game Pass after an eight-month decline - it's now returned to growth and expanding retention, and most importantly we're starting to get back to being closer to our players and our community."
Going forward, the Xbox boss says the next 100 days will be about resetting the business. The focus over the summer will be finding ways to "return to growth" and ultimately attract as many people to Xbox as possible.
"I think the next 100 days, we have to reset the business. We need to look at how we're investing, how we're prioritising, change how we operate - in order to return to growth and in order to be where the world plays."
And finally, it's clear that Sharma has some significant goals here. When asked about where she wants Xbox to be by 2030, she simply stated that she'd like Xbox to be the "number one" gaming and entertainment company.
"I'd love to see us be the number one gaming and entertainment company."
Ambitious words from the new Xbox CEO! We can't wait to see how Xbox hopefully evolves over the next four years, and it certainly sounds like it'll be a memorable era for the brand no matter what.
Don't forget we've covered more stuff from this interview elsewhere on Pure Xbox, including Sharma's thoughts on exclusives and her desire to keep the price as low as possible for Project Helix.
