Thought it was one of the worst gaming shows this year. The games that were interesting, were the ones we've already seen before (i.e. Callisto Protocol and High on Life)
In terms of production value, I think the show is better in the hands of Amazon rather than Netflix. And it seems they have some people from Westworld involved here so I'm sure it will look great. Will be interesting to see how the story and casting works out.
The title is quite overrated tbh. The voice acting and level design were really really good. But general gameplay loop got very boring after you've done each level once. But definitely give it a go on GP if you haven't.
After finishing Psychonauts 1 last weekend (the Xbox version is really quite good for the age of the game), I've started Psychonauts 2 this weekend and man, how did this game not win GOTY in 2021. Double Fine has made an absolute masterpiece in level design here.
Whilst I was eager to try The Ascent, after playing it for a couple of hours, I found it to be quite boring. It's an absolute beautiful game but content-wise it was really boring.
I just picked up a copy of Forza Motorsport 7 and as someone playing Motorsport in general for the first time, I think they have some a good basis to improve upon to challenge Gran Turismo. Few things they need to improve upon, mainly the driving physics and car dynamics.
Picked up my first ever Xbox with the Series X cause I just felt Xbox was being a lot more consumer friendly than Sony. Also Game Pass is an absolute revelation.
I'm even more glad that I got my Series X after Sony taking my PS5 for repairs and not returning it. Still haven't gotten it back after 2 months and their customer service is an absolute disgrace here in Germany.
Think Obsidian is a little bit of a dark horse in the Xbox Game Studios stable. Everyone is talking about arkane and Bethesda but these guys make fantastic games.
Hey guys at PureXbox, there was a nice little graphic that they flashed during the showcase which showed which games are coming in 2022 and 2023. Could you guys source that out and maybe send a link to it?
I thought it was really good. Starfield looks better than expected, looking forward to Forza Motorsport but the one that I'm looking forward to the most has to be that game from the creators of Rick and Morty. 😂
Think it has to be added day 1 on game pass right? Especially with the delays to Starfield and Redfall, I'm sure Xbox will want to make up for their empty first party lineup this year.
@Chaudy kind of reminds me of Vampyr. The sites and journalists absolute tore the combat to shreds. But when I played it I thought it was perfectly serviceable.
I just loaded it to have a look at the game myself while I haven't played more than 10 mins, the visual and art style is spellbindingly beautiful. ABIT of context is needed here it being a small indie studio and personally if I enjoy it, I'm gonna purchase it.
P.S. am new the site, having just picked up the Series X (my first ever Xbox). What a machine and am absolutely loving Game Pass.
